The mood is great! Fences all around you make it kinda weird tho. Liked it
I like it, I managed to win on my second try!
Nice Idea. well executed wish it had more stuff like cutting trees or surching for food. but well done. :v:
I really like how the music and footsteps went well together. Footstep tracks also helped me find my way around the map! I also liked the length of the game, properly showing everything done but not repeating it until it gets boring. Overall well done!
@lazzydev72 Thank you for your comment. I was going to do so, but didn't have enough free time. Actually there is a house mesh hidden under the map . I was going to add it, but didn't finish it before the end. I will add more stuff in future updates
The mood is really prominent, graphics and music are great too. Sounds are a bit off though. All in all the game is simple but fun
The graphics and feel are great! Picking up items is sometimes difficult if you're not facing the right angle but otherwise it was a fun little challenge. I did manage to win and lose at the exact same time and both the win and lose screen popped up!
I saw another game exactly like this but it was 2D. Something you could have added to add more replayability is to randomly generate the map so you don't just memorize the map.
really cool and chill game ! good job
I love it! Great job! Also, it was very noble of you to uncheck the "Graphics" category since you took some os Kenneys assets... most of the games here don't do that. I can totally see this game expanding into a great game, if you ever decide to continue this project!
The mood is great, especially the particle effects sell the atmosphere. The gameplay leaves me a bit puzzled: Is there more than running around the wilderness and picking up wood? Maybe I didn't play for long enough, but if there was, there might be room for more gameplay mechanics.
Oh, this games is simple and very good. I like the environment and the mechanic :). Congratz
Very nice art and aesthetic, with a fun gameplay too! I beat the game on the 4th try
I enjoyed the aesthetics in this game. Although... I seem to have no face ! The music was relaxing, making me forget about the impending doom. Everything run smoothly and I noticed no problems (played the updated version 004).
Incidentally, we also made our jam game in Godot :)
It was pretty fun, the atmosphere and graphics are pretty cool! xD I laughed a lot when I tried to grab the girl and worked, and just throw her to the fire
@hermeses Finally someone has found it. Congratulations!
This is a really nice entry ! Controls are smooth and the aesthetic is really nice ! The music suit also well the mood of the game. I would love to have a win / loose animation like a fase in/out black screen instead of a frozen screen...But anyway, this one of the most beautiful game I saw so far, good job !
Such a cute entry. Well done.
Great game. Really enjoyed it, especially the mood!
really cute , fun ! I love the little easter egg !!!
Very cute graphic style. I really think I should have been able to burn the fence around the game area though.
Hello, fellow fire keeper :)
You did a great job on making the sound effects, music, and graphics all work together to set the mood. The wind and snow particles are great, and I love the footstep deformations in the snow. Nice submission!
Cute little collecting game. The assets and lighting were/was nice! The footsteps on the ground had a nice touch together with the sounds :) Pretty grim that you can burn your pal too, also that was like the first thing I tried I wonder if I should be concerned about that ^^ the music was sweet as well :) Did you do the character yourself? because it's a pretty smart rig - seperated meshes so you don' really have to paint weights a lot! Overall, nice job for a single person!
I like mood you create for the game. I really like this types of games. Good job :3
@fatpenguin Yes, I did characters myself. I was keeping in mind character customization, but unfortunately I didn't implement this feature. Actually, I didn't paint any weight at all. I used procedural animation instead and all the meshes are controlled directly from code
Nice work!
When I went over the the other person and it said not to let them die, I thought it would be good to move them a little closer to the fire to keep them warm, but it was pretty funny to end up having to throw them into the fire.
Oh no! I burned her accidentally! :scream:
In one of your post you've mentioned that these are procedural animations. Does this mean you just move bones with the code instead of triggering the animation? Looks really smooth!
I have a similar winter setting in my game. Interesting to see how you implemented footsteps and the snow!
Here is my playthrough:

Entry look great! Sorry, I cannot check it because I do not have windows workstation here.
Right now I'm learning how to work with 3D in Godot (I made my LD game in Godot too, but 2D). Could you please share the source code? Interesting to see how do you work with animations and postprocessing. Thanks!
@icxon My procedural animation is very simple. When I was modelling a character, I have made separate meshes for each part of body. I didn't have enough time to set everything properly, so I simply set their origins the way meshes will behave like bones when rotating. And then I used sin() function in code to make an animation for each single mesh. There is also a special coefficient for scale of the animation. It changes with players speed. That is why it looks smooth. Originally I wanted a footprint to appear when foot touches snow, but for saving some time, I simply made a timer node that spawns the footprint on timeout. There is a node that contains all the footprints, and it has a script that moves them down. When the footprint is under the ground, the parent node deletes it
@graal Yeah, sure, I can share a source code, but now it is a little too messy. I will publish it to the game's itch.io page when I clean it up and write some comments. Post-processing is done with Godot's built-in tools, so there is no code for post-processing.
A super simple little game, with a very interesting atmosphere.
Yeeted April(?) directly into the fire, survived the game with ease. I'm sure I could've done that without the human sacrifice too, but this April just really needs to end :D
Amazing assets! Inspired me to actually use Godot for 3D some time soon, thank you for that!
Nice atmosphere! A simple gameplay, but quite polished, with some nice details, like the footprints.
