Bought my soul back in 37 days!
Got my soul back in 22 days, too addictive. Great job.
Oh, this is neat. It's kind of like a mix of a tycoon and a clicker game.
I didn't understand what to do at first though. I bought my first property, then waited two in-game days before realizing that I needed to click on it. So then I placed the statue, and waited a couple more days, while my count still read zero. Then I realized that I needed to click on it. Clicking on it too quickly kept opening the menu to sell and repair it though. Theeeennn I realized that if I wait a bit, it will give me more souls rather than clicking on it rapidly.
Some visual queues of what to do and when the souls of each stand are maxed out, beyond the sparkles, would be really beneficial, if you plan to continue with this game.
Despite wasting four or five in-game days, I only used a small amount of the board, and bought my soul back in 35 days. It might be beneficial if there were more things to spend souls on, beyond repairs, and/or if the cost of the buyback was increased.
Nice work!
- It took me a couple of in-game days to work out exactly what I was supposed to do, first with building units and then collecting from them. Once I figured that out, I quickly got the ball rolling. - It didn't take long for me to become a little bored; I was playing for the sake of finishing rather than just having fun with it. Thanks for not having exponential wait-times like most typical tycoons/idle games tend to have. I was able to finish in 24 days. - The one thing that I enjoyed most was the humor. I can see you put more effort into that than most games do. - I think having a button to automatically collect from a region of units would have gone a long way in making the later stages of the game more managable.
Nice, classic clicker game! I really like the mouse camera controls -- middle click zoom and dragging is a really nice touch. Building descriptions were really cute, too!
I would have liked to have something pushing me a little bit towards not just selling all of my less-expensive buildings once I'd gotten to the more-expensive ones. Still, it's a well done sense of progression -- everything seemed out of reach until it suddenly wasn't!
Fun game! I always like a good clicker XD only complaints I would have was already stated, such as taking some time to understand how to play it and someway more manageable to collect money. Humor very appreciated~ Nice work!
Nice innovation on the clicker game formula! I wish clicking on a soul-less building didn't automatically open the repair menu; would've been nice to have a separate option for that cause I accidentally opened it all the time. But nice work!
Got my soul back in 31 days but saved >300k extra souls... oops
Enjoyed the idea a lot. Wish there was some mechanic to allow for auto-collecting money from my buildings. Might make it too easy but my little fingers hurt
Well done dude
Pretty fun game! For my first ludum dare I made a clicker similar to this and I know it is tempting to make the end game buildings dumbly overpowered. Once I got a hotel California it became super easy and just a matter of clicking the two of those. Otherwise great game.
Thank you for submitting your game to be played on my stream!
Once the stream is finished you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos If you want to know when it was played you can find your game in the queue here: https://tinyurl.com/y5rdokvp
Really fun clicker game. It was really satisfying to see these number stack up so quickly.
Pros : - Intuitive controls : figuring out what to do is easy - Really fun and satisfying - Simple, but clean and adequate graphics
Cons : - Some background music would have helped to break the monotony - More frequent "collect all"
All in all, great work !
I maxed out everything by day 37. This is the game that i've played the most of this entire jam.
I finished at Day 26 with 16,744,831 extra souls after maxing out all the properties. Phew, that was addictive!
You definitely nailed that feeling of accumulation you get from clicker and tycoon games. I had hoped there would be more strategy to it, but it seemed like the building types all just got me more souls rather than having any special effects.
Also props on the art. The game has got a fair amount of personality and mood to it. Music would have really helped in that regard.
