Interesting combat mechanic, and really impressive to see the AI navigate the field. I wish there was some sound, but overall really solid!

This game brings back old memories. A pity that there is no sound. Art style on point and solid gameplay. Maybe the accuracy mechanics is a little too simple. It's pretty hard to screw up.

Crazy impressive for a jam! Slightly marred by the AI hit percentage - the AI missed me with 3 shots in a row at point blank range. Made the game kind of trivial.

@fitret Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely work on that with more time to fine-tune the AI.

My first impression was wow! This is awesome art and sprite work. I’ve never played a game like this before so it took me some time to get used to, but once I got it, it was super fun and creative! I think the enemy and friendly teams could have been more distinctive in the coloring, but great work overall!

Wow! It just too cool for jam submission! I love mix of tactical gameplay and arcade on shooting

Awesome job, incredible to get this much done in a jam! I love xcom style tactics games. I wish it was a bit more tactical in nature in terms of trying to set up certain shots and such. Seemed like the best strategy was to rush a single target down and stand in the open the whole time. Loved the art and animations, really impressive submission with the level of polish and detail. Thanks so much for sharing.

Interesting combat mechanics, nice art style.

Some nitpicking: You should probably add a delay before showing "Enemy Turn" overlay. Right now it's difficult to see how much damage you've done. Having a delay there will let you see the damage indicator animate

Hope you'll keep working on this! :)

You guys have created a wonderful game! I had a lot of fun but there are some things that could be improved if you decide to work more on this. Before I go in to it... I know that you might've made some decisions because it's a jam and time constraint etc.

I felt that when enemies stood right next to me they should've hit me because the red area was very big. Sometimes I wanted to end my turn and not use all of my units movements but I had to move them one tile in order to end my turn.

Overall, wonderful job!

Love the graphics and a rare genre to see in the jam, good job you two. Lots of room for expansion, and sound! ;)

Got the victory by buying out their entire team...diplomacy rules!

Seriously though guys what a game, I was getting emotionally invested trying to keep the weakest guy on my team from dying hahaha

All it needs now is a killer soundtrack and some new skins for the dudes.

Cute and fun sprite work. The tactics UI looks and feels great!

I could definitely see this being expanded into a larger game! Felt a little easy as-is, but the art and mechanics were super impressive and polished. I'm not usually a tactics player but I was very on board with the world you built. Great stuff, and thanks for tuning into the stream!

I've spent way too much time playing the game haha. I really like the gameplay and the art direction, both really remind me of Pathway. Right now I'd say the biggest trouble that I had was the inability to look at the stats while moving my mercs. Overall, great entry!

I played three rounds, and got a team of 8. I managed to make it through without any lost troops. I'm impressed with the pathfinding, and the pixel art was well-made. I do wish that there were more sprites, since it's hard to remember the abilities of each soldier, but I know there's only so much that can be done in a weekend.

I noticed a glitch where the UI wouldn't show the status of the currently selected character, but would get stuck on the enemy's character.

Pretty cool work!
