That was pretty fun
I sure did kill that shark with those explosives! It was pretty funny the first time he got up out of the water and shot at me :) Really good job, especially considering you restarted with 22 hours left! Its simple, but fun and uses the theme well.
For how little time you spent, it's decent. The presentation was pretty funny, comic sans and all
Haha I figured out the way to beat the game 100% :D Just stand here, wait for the shark to shoot, then go to the other side of the platform and wait for it to come, then K-k-kaboom, then repeat.

Anyway, I like the touch of humor there, my game also used AWD only but I wouldnt have thought of that funny joke. I enjoyed the game thoroughly. The water level was not very noticable because I focused too much on the game. Maybe you can change the water color as it goes up, then it would be more noticeable. Great job with only one day!
Dude, this is great for 22 hours! And the only thing that matters is that you were able to turn in a complete product.
This is fun! The barrel-throwing is a little fiddly - a few times I threw it and it landed next to the shark so I had to wait for it to respawn. Seriously impressive for having been made in less than a day - nice work.
The concept is cute. But it took me a few tries to win because I kept mysteriously losing my ability to jump :(
Good prototype, with more polish it could be a perfect small game for sites like armor games and kongregate. Also I got an error when trying to go up with the barrel.

Really fun! I found myself oddly addicted to going after these sharks. Great enemy choice I wanted to blow them up really really bad!
Thanks for the great feedback everyone! Glad people are having fun :)
@nam-nguyen LOL yep. The next item on the list was actually to implement random respawning for the sharks and barrel, but... deadlines ;) BTW your game Space Invasion is amazing!
@sylvie Was it the water? When I put in the "float" mechanics it took away jumping ability if standing in the water, unless you're sanding on a submerged platform.
@josehzz Yeah, that's a bug. The collision processing for held items is calculated from the player position, so If the barrel is carried above the screen (and therefore outside processing coordinates) then the JavaScript complains and locks everything up.
I'll most certainly continue working on this beyond LD 42. Meanwhile looking forward to playing more of the other games out there!
Pretty nice for 22 hours. More impressive is that you actually came to grips with the fact that your 1st game wasn't going to work and you quickly pivoted to a solid "Plan B." Most people would be too stubborn to do that ;)
I had a fun time blowing up sharks with rocket launchers and really enjoyed the music. I think it fit the game nicely. Great job!
Huzzah! Although it's a bit generic it's a solid game and an impressive feat for 22 hours. The texture for the main protagonist also looks really good.
Nice attempt for 22 hours! Not really sure how this fits into the theme but it's good that you stuck it out and still submitted something after your first idea didn't work out!
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
Nice save! This is impressive for the circumstances. Excellent choice of music, which, even if it isn't yours, takes time to source. Of course, sharks with bombs are automatically funny. That's just true.
Made me laugh non stop while playing! 5/5 well done!
