A funky game! (especially the riffs, they go wild after a while) A bit hard to navigate with a fixed camera, but got around. Maybe too easy to be a dumper? The other boats never hit me. :)

That Nuclear Euphoria track is absolutely awesome! Like a distored House of the Rising Sun at first, then totally exploding. I love it. The game could have been a lot more clear on the how and the why, and I did have rather poor performance on Linux (Arch x64), and might have done better with a drop-off point for the waste, a different mechanic. Also, I assumed Return meant Enter but I don't have a numpad on my laptop so I couldn't drop off the waste.

There's also a bug where the moment I started the game, I got attacked right away by the closest ship?

I can't put my finger on it, but I did sail through the entire song. There's something so raw about what you made, it's intriguing all the same, and awesome in that.

One last remark: the landing page here isn't really appealing. I stumbled on this page before, but, especially given no web build was available, was hesitant on trying it out, not in the least due to the toxic colors in the screenshots. I find more people should experience what you made, also so you can get a ranking, so maybe a single screenshot could serve better than four?

I was unable to run it.

Thanks for the feedback :)

@joror: yes, it's way easier than I planned it to be, the "AI" I made is just horrible :p the camera was supposed to make the game feel like one of those old isometric 3D ones but I didn't get the perspective right ...

@willowblade: Thanks a lot, I made quite a lot of mistakes when creating this landing page and while I did realize that I hadn't got it right, I wasn't quite able to put my finger on what exactly was wrong with it. The thing about the Return/Enter key: actually all keys that by default are used as ui_accept by godot should work, but I forgot to mention that you have to keep holding the button and well I didn't get to add an animation in time, so you could see what is happening.

@nnnikki: that's weird, what version on what platform?

About an web export, I will look into it but last time I tried, there were some issues with missing materials/textures ...

Pretty interesting game, I enjoyed it a lot.

My laptop struggled with frame rate, so I'm going to try this later on my gaming PC (or, as my daughter calls it, her homework PC).

I love how everybody but you is an armed ecologist that let you care about its wastes and fight at you to do so!

A litle animation when moving the boat would be cool, some times I could not say if I where still moving due to the slow movement and homogeneous surronding. Maybe something like a litle bit of foam rear the boat could help.

badly-drawn-rod 2017-12-10 21:21

Every time I tried to dump toxic barrels (not a euphemism) those eco-warriors would try to shoot me. I must admit that I felt a little disconnected from what was going on, but I can see where you're going with it. With a few tweaks, and a bit more time, this idea could have sea legs.

Really enjoyable game, well executed too :)

elmeri 2017-12-17 11:16

I had struggle with the frame rate too but fun game! gratz!

lenaschimmel 2017-12-17 18:07

Sorry I couldn't really test it, the framerate was much too slow on my (Ubuntu linux) machine. As a technical note, the frame rate was not constantly low. Instead, there were small burst of maybe 4 frames in quick succession, and then it kinda froze for half a second, then again a few quick frames, etc.

Interesting idea! The models are really nice. It was pretty hard to plan where to go with the fixed camera.

saphires 2017-12-18 00:26

Haha great idea! Love the fact you included VR capabilities although I couldn't try them out yet. And it's great your game even got some deeper meaning, making people aware of the problems with getting rid of toxic waste. great work!

The music was oddly soothing...

furet 2017-12-22 21:55

The setting/colors caught my eye; the models look great, and it was oddly cute how those boats with no people followed me, with a life of their own! I found the music to be distracting/not fitting the calm visuals/gameplay. I would've liked a larger camera view, and the ability to throw barrels faster. The game over screen was neat, and funny how three boats sort of huddled/danced over my grave.
