High Score: 1678

I don't think I am that good at it :D had a bit difficulty controlling the ship first but after couple of tries I started to manage it.

This is after the Compo submission, but I made a WebGL build of the game here, for those without Windows. It's an exact replica! http://www.cheesegames.net/games/1404/index.php?gameDataId=1404

Controls are a little hard to get the hang of but I do like the 3D graphics

-42m, yay! I did manage to do better on another try :P.

The biggest recommendation I would make would be some smoother way of fixing the camera wrap that it seems to be doing at -180 and 180 degrees vertically. I found myself loosing control and perspective by my ship suddenly flipping orientation.

Hard game. I like the concept trying to balance the need to get close but not too close.

Made it to 3500 haha. Actually surprsingly fun and unique. Good job.

No audio on the webGL version+ on this version when i lock an asteroid (and i am returned) my ship goes down and crashes. So the game is good befor i crash on the ground (but a litle bit hold space to win)

tompendergrass 2017-08-02 15:00

@ronan13 Thank you for the critique. I noticed the 'space to win' aspect after submission. I'm curious what your hardware setup is; I've tested the build on windows, mac, and even android without audio issues. Thanks for the feedback!

Looks very nice; I think it might have worked better locked to a 2D gameplay area, either as a 'top down' or a 'behind' (like star fox) viewpoint so the player only has to worry about positioning rather than orientation as well.

Of course that might just be because I wasn't very good at it...

tompendergrass 2017-08-03 14:36

Thank you @mrnyarlathotep! That also crossed my mind. I previously made a game like that called Gravity Drop, and wanted to branch into controls within the 3rd dimension with this project. I also think it would be easier to grasp with starfox style controls.

Fun little game and a nice concept, I like the low poly graphics style too. Good job!

Wow, this game is incredibly fun. Seriously, nice job. Sucking power from the asteroids is satisfying, with perfect sounds and animations to go along. Navigating the asteroid field is tricky, and the camera is a little wonky, but once you get the hang of it, you can get around without too much trouble. I had to knock off a little for the 'hold space to win' aspect, but if that wasn't there, and the navigation was polished a little, I could see myself putting a lot of time into this game.

My score was -1018 meters, I believe I did something wrong!

It is nice idea, I didn't like the idea how everything stopped and you were 'refueling' energy, it confused me what to do from there.

It gave me some fun though - which is the goal I'd say.

Good job!

I got to about ~1300, but it was fun trying to get the hang of the controls.

Very cool game! Fun and challenging. The controls were a bit wonky, but other than that, very good entry!
