Yep, that game is pretty hard, even at easy. It feels like its running too fast. Besides to that, well done.

raptor85 2012-04-23 16:13

i agree, it feels like the game is running in fast forward, getting past spikes was pretty much pure luck as it was generally moving faster than i could see.

unicornpooping 2012-04-23 17:22

That dude does a lot of pooping!

chinchang 2012-04-23 17:27

osom concewpt n game...only if those spikes were not there emerging from ground :P well done!

berkano 2012-04-23 19:15

I like the way you get into a "flow" and don't need to worry too much about dying.. just keep trying again and again. Love how the little green bits of fluff(?) end up everywhere. Nice offbeat feel (music helps this as well)

proch 2012-04-23 19:39

controls makes the game quite unplayable

triplefox 2012-04-24 06:18

Nice little details like the starfield and jump particles. The platforming is managable but definitely on the hard side - even in easy mode - and mostly because of the way the control mechanics work, making it easy to bounce off a wall into a sawblade. And it all seems only vaguely related to being a tiny world...

thinkofdeath 2012-04-24 07:21

The game seems fun but is hard to control on my phone. Also the game only uses 1/4 of my screen.

tacograveyard 2012-04-24 14:56

Really fun game. Some of the levels are really hard. I love the controlled chaos of it all.

devwil 2012-04-24 21:22

i'm not sure i understand how it fits the theme.

rhburrows 2012-04-24 21:27

That was a lot of fun. The controls felt a little sloppy sometimes but once I got the hang of the auto-wall jump it was fun finishing all the levels (but I couldn't get all the coins)

nocturne 2012-04-24 21:35

Argh! I hated this! Sorry! The music was annoying as hell, the sounds were annoying as hell, the movement was annoying as hell! Oh, and I'm not sure how this fits the theme... However, reading the other comments it seems like I'm a minority, so don't pass on this just because of my comments... I'm probably just a weirdo!

@Nocturne no problem man. Not everyone has the same taste. Thx for being honest though. :-)

vilya 2012-04-25 14:04

Wow, that's hard! I couldn't get past the first or second obstacle on any of the levels I tried.

The music wasn't really to my taste but suited the feel of the game. In fact, the whole things feels pretty polished - nice job!

0x17 2012-04-25 19:12

@Thinkofdeath the Android version should now scale to the entire screen size independent of the actual resolution.

danblack 2012-04-26 14:09

For me it wasn't soo much the speed that was the problem but the amount you bounced away from walls that made this just too awkward to really enjoy. Good effort though and IMO with a little more tweaking could be really fun. I also liked the level selection screen.

orangepascal 2012-05-01 06:22

didn't expect a MeatBoy style game in this compo :) nicely done tho

summaky 2012-05-01 10:43

The player moves too fast for me; it was impossible to even finish the first level. Even the music creates a tension of speed, which is good, but made things more complicated for me.

recursor 2012-05-02 11:19

This does indeed remind me of MeatBoy. The controls could use a bit of fine tuning though as the little guy moves a bit too fast.

mrbarnslig 2012-05-03 05:14

I consider myself pretty good at platformers, but the sliding nature of this one made it really difficult. Also there was a lot going on - stars flying the back and the brightly colored blocks made it difficult to tell what to focus on. I can't believe you made all that music and sounds though - nice work.

Great job on completing your first LD! It's a great accomplishment!

matthias_zarzecki 2012-05-03 21:54

The overworld felt great. The forced wall-jumping and the small-corrdiors made advancing completely arbitrary, though.

vigrid 2012-05-13 01:29

Reminds me of Super Meat Boy. The gravity didn't feel ok to me, an acceleration instead of constant fall down would be better, I think. The controls were a bit dodgy especially when running towards a wall.
