Once in the tower I was lost as to what to do. For a while the tornadoes didn\'t seem to hurt me, but then after about 5 minutes they got very lethal. I quit at that point. After closing the game, the music kept going. I had to reboot to make it go away.

wonderwhy-er

Well... There is such thing as feedback from player input. This game has horrific feedback :D I don't feel that i really control the bird...

And going and forcing Java garbaged collector to stop music from playing is not very nice feature :D

keeyai

Controls are an obstacle not a tool, and the looping music after the game closes makes children cry.

I lolled at the license though, so I gave you an extra point in humor.

Notch

Annoying keyboard control.. why is it moving a few pixels with every keypress, and relying on repeating keys for moving?

Endurion

Nice little story, but the end is sad :)
The controls could use a workover, the keypress method is not nice for action gameplay.

Edge

Very nice setting. I would have liked it if your game would have focused more on puzzles/exploring or strategy instead of only action. Because the action itself was pretty slow and the controls were pretty unintuitive. Also the tutorial should be skipable. But anyway I liked the atmosphere and the fact that you had different musics in it.

edwardoka

It has charm but it reminds me a lot of "You have to burn the rope". It's somewhat buggy and as it uses the system key-repeat method of handling button presses, the delay makes it unresponsive.
Also it didn't close gracefully and I had to kill all my browser processes to get rid of it.

LoneStranger

Controls are kinda annoying. As a bird, I would expect to have to flap wings to stay afloat.

nilsf

The graphics and music were nice, but as has been said the controls felt awkward and the music is still playing after I closed the browser window. After getting to the big owl I ran out of ammo so I quit there. It's a shame for the controls because with the neat cutscenes it could have been quite a fun game.

dstrysnd

Other than the key-input problem, why have players hit other keys to fly and pick up eggs? Why not just refuel eggs when you land on them, and fly when you hit up?

That being said, it's impressive that you got a miniboss and a boss in there, and dialogue too.

Hamumu

Well, ran out of eggs shooting the owl and it seems there's no way out of the tower, so I just get to listen to this song for the rest of eternity. Even though I've already closed the window!

I agree with the rest of the tribal council on the horrible controls. Key repeat is not the way to go! If that one thing had been different, it would've been a great [unfinished] experience all around (until discovering that the music keeps going on quit).

GBGames

The controls need work, and I agree that the way to get eggs seems flawed from a playability standpoint. I dug the story and the speech engine. I wasn't quite sure what to do about that owl. Then I suddenly died. Wasn't sure what happened. Music glitch is annoying.

Jach

Love the graphics, not so much the game. The controls were really annoying for me...

Codexus

It's nice but it's really a shame you didn't spend more time on getting some correct controls working. What's the point of making cut scenes and lots of levels if you have to do everything using keyboard repeat controls? The basic gameplay should come first, then add bells and whistles.
I don't blame you (too much) for the non-stopping music, though. The java plugin has a known bug, it keeps a reference to the applet so that it doesn't get garbage collected.

Deepflame

Interesting idea, but it's too rough to really say much about it. I liked the music though, it was pretty decent. Shame it had that weird looping issue. :)

Morre

Music's really cool.
Controls are pretty awkward - needs a bit of smoothness and polish.
The mood is very nice.
Gameplay is pretty so-so, to be entirely honest :)

pansapiens

Funny graphics. Good job on the background music, really helps create the foreboding atmosphere of a little bird taking on a big tower (with resident crystal crushing owl). Would have liked key repeat to work differently ... felt a little "turn based" even though it was supposed to be realtime. Oh, and birds fire eggs out of their butt, not the front :)
