| Oct 19 02:52:00 | Stick and Hoop Simulator | ♥ 1 | I'm not quite sure what I did, or how I did it, or if *I did it*, but I am proud of myself. you-won.png | |
| Oct 19 03:00:35 | 8m 35s | Old Man Playing Old Game | ♥ 3 | This is certainly old tech, and it gave me PTSD. I was trying to get past this point for like 5-10 minutes, but I just couldn't managed to get past this. I don't know if the fault of the game or the old tech, or if I've become too old and clumsy, but I just couldn't get past that jump. ๐ stuck.png This was certainly a unique game! |
| Oct 19 03:13:42 | 13m 07s | Merry & Bright & CRI โฅ 95 | ♥ 1 | I spent a good while tapping this check mark, thinking it was a button the next puzzle, but apparently it isn't? ๐ check.png It's a clever and fun little game. |
| Oct 19 04:01:58 | 48m 16s | weird gameboy game I found in the mountains | ♥ 1 | Someone told me they were impressed by how I managed to create my jam games in such a short period of time, but this is on a whole other level. This will take time and effort to play through. Nicely done! weird-gameboy-game.png |
| Oct 20 14:04:55 | 34h 02m | Tiny Technician | ♥ 1 | I completely misunderstood the game initially. I thought there was "something more" to it than just basic additions and subtractions. I'm still also not sure if the game really has issues with slow loading, or if that's just a part of the game. ๐ It was a fun game! ๐ |
| Oct 20 14:18:40 | 13m 45s | Old World Skies | ♥ 0 | I'm not sure if "people" were playing the same version. I also had quite a lot of issues trying to play the game. Even after pressing P to "focus mouse" on the game, I had to hold down left mouse button to be able to control the plane. I wasn't really able to experience the game as my FPS dropped to about 3-5 after a few seconds of gameplay. |
| Oct 20 14:29:24 | 10m 44s | Rhythm Coders | ♥ 3 | Interesting concept. It's a bit silly that a music game has set "don't rate for audio". ๐ |
| Oct 20 14:40:44 | 11m 20s | DEAD PIXELS - THE LAST SIGNAL | ♥ 1 | It was a fun and well-executed game. This is surprisingly polished for an LD game. The reset/checkpoint mechanic was particularly smooth. I also appreciated the game "didn't overstay its welcome". Well done! |
| Oct 20 14:50:27 | 9m 43s | The Last Tumbler | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the minimalist art style. I wasn't as much of a fan of the brute forcing required to solve the levels. I don't know if I just missed it, but I would have liked to see or have some additional mechanic for figuring out which order the pins were in other than just trial and error. |
| Oct 20 18:30:41 | 3h 40m | Broken Arcade | ♥ 1 | I'm glad you gents didn't pick more litigious companies IPs to rip off. ๐ torilla.png This was definitely the most unique and interesting game I've played this jam! Torilla tavataan and all that. |
| Oct 20 18:44:30 | 13m 49s | Oldie | ♥ 1 | That was a pleasantly zen game and a nice change of pace from some of the other ones. Definitely hit the theme nicely as well. This is probably just me, but I felt slightly uneasy as the cogwheels didn't perfectly line up. ๐ Great work! |
| Oct 23 06:40:51 | 59h 56m | Answer with Light | ♥ 0 | This is definitely one of the most atmospheric/mood(y) games I've encountered in LD. I see the "Post Jam Update: Better Tutorial Experience" mentioned in the description, so I'm likely playing with the better tutorial and I'm still struggling a fair bit. ๐ |
| Oct 23 07:40:57 | 1h 00m | Evil East Conquest | ♥ 1 | This is a cool game and some nice warm up before DOW4. ๐ As an RTS player, I really liked the concept, but I think the game should start with a tiny bit more handholding. Just showing the basics via gameplay, like "don't use soldiers against structures, only use machines." It seems obvious when written or said, but the game plays very slowly. I wasted a few units in level 1 and it takes a wood ram several minutes to cross a level and you're just left waiting, so I didn't want to go back and start the game from scratch. A tiny bit more handholding, so that the player doesn't make obvious mistakes that forces them to go back to level 1, and perhaps adding a "speed up time" mechanic so that you don't have to "wait for the game to happen" for too long, like having "Pause", "1x", "2x", "4x" buttons to control speed settings that some games have. Still, a really neat and interesting game with potential! |
| Oct 23 07:54:23 | 13m 26s | Sound of Night | ♥ 1 | LD60 has had some particularly difficult games. Like others have said, the tutorials were great. I'm genuinely impressed I got through them and that's quite a compliment to their maker. ๐ Again, like others have already said, using audio instead of just text was a nice twist, but I feel like this game is too difficult for me... or like the game taught me: `ยท ยท ยท โ โ โ ยท ยท ยท`. |
| Oct 23 10:01:08 | 2h 06m | The Automaton | ♥ 1 | This game really reminded me of a project I've "been meaning to work on, but I've been too busy". Seeing you bringing a similar concept to life during a short game jam is a bit of a reality check on my own project. ๐ It's a really nice and clever game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I played the JAM version, so I don't know if you've already addressed these "issues", but I think having level numbers visible and having both a "full reset" and "back to start, but remember my instructions" would be great touches. One time I had just entered one movement instruction too few and I had to redo the entire set of instructions. Another time, I realised I had one too many "move left" instructions, and I would have liked to just enter one extra instruction in the middle, but I had to undo everything after that. With some polish, this would be a great little puzzle game! |
