Oct 20 18:30:58 Stardust ♥ 0 wonderful atmosphere and visuals, but a weak connection to the theme! i would be happy if you played my game
Oct 21 07:17:53 12h 46m Stitch, Snip, Ship ♥ 1 all aspects of the game are good - the implementation of the theme, in particular! i would be happy if you could check out my game
Oct 21 07:41:01 23m 08s Nomad City ♥ 0 very nice game! i would be happy if you could check out my game.
Oct 26 06:43:07 119h 02m ANIMAL BAR TYCOON ♥ 1 a suuuuper atmospheric game! i would be glad if you rate my game
Oct 26 07:01:03 17m 56s The Automaton ♥ 1 great game, i like it! i would be glad if you rate my game
Oct 26 07:19:39 18m 36s The Telegraphist ♥ 0 A very unique take on the theme for this jam! So simple, yet engaging and really well done! Our own games actually have some similarities to this, too! 😁
Oct 26 07:37:39 18m 00s Dead Wax: Side B ♥ 1 really loved the mood and the visuals here. calling up old machines and hearing their stories is a brilliant concept for the old tech theme. the only thing is the battery timer felt a bit too punishing for such a calm, atmospheric game. i wanted to take my time exploring the record.
Oct 26 07:51:44 14m 05s NEO REPAIR: KAWAIITECH ♥ 0 the pixel art and the dust particles are super satisfying. cleaning up that little tamagotchi and watching its face change is a really cute idea for the old tech theme. one thing though — the auto-rotation is pretty fast. it can get a bit disorienting when you try to clean a specific spot, and sometimes the dirt seems to reappear on the angles in between. maybe locking it to fixed sides or letting the player rotate it manually would make it feel much more precise. still, a very cozy and relaxing entry!
Oct 26 08:12:43 20m 59s BOSSFIGHT98.EXE ♥ 1 the idea of fighting a cursed windows 98 pc is funny, but the execution feels a bit rough. the visuals are pretty basic and the screen gets so chaotic that it's hard to tell what's going on or dodge the attacks. i think the game would benefit a lot from toning down the amount of stuff flying at you at once, or at least making the player character stand out more against the background. the concept has potential, but right now it feels more frustrating than fun. good luck with the post-jam version!
Oct 26 08:26:37 13m 54s You... Bastet ♥ 2 the pixel art here is really impressive. the possessed cat and the egyptian setting look fantastic, and the crouch animation is a great touch. the difficulty is brutally hard though. the platforming feels really punishing, especially with how precise some of the jumps have to be around the saws and spikes. and honestly, the wall dodge felt a bit inconsistent to me — sometimes it launched me further than i expected, which made sections feel a bit unfair rather than just challenging. if you could tweak the physics to make the movement feel more predictable, it would be a really solid platformer. great job on the visuals!
Oct 26 08:44:02 17m 25s Troll the King ♥ 3 the 2d art and animations are fantastic. the character designs and the whole vibe are really funny. shooting down the robot pigeons to collect their letters is a great idea. it fits the theme perfectly. it's a really charming and well-executed game. great job!
Oct 26 09:43:42 59m 40s Old Remote Safari ♥ 1 a really charming little game about just trying to relax after a long day. the idea of fighting with an old remote is genuinely funny, and the animations when you shake it are great. my only complaint is that it ends way too fast. i was having fun and wanted to see what other weird stuff the tv would do. also, the photo of the hand next to the drawn background looks a bit out of place, though it adds a certain meme vibe to it. still, it's a fun way to spend two minutes. good job!
Oct 26 09:50:11 6m 29s Connect me, Please! ♥ 0 the concept of a switchboard operator working for the motherland is really cool. the warm pixel art and the mechanical feel of plugging in the cables are really satisfying. my main issue was the text being covered by the cables. it got a bit frustrating when i was trying to read the instructions and the wires were right in the way. also, sometimes the mouse offset felt a little off when trying to connect the jacks. overall, a very solid and atmospheric entry. good luck!
Oct 26 09:58:11 8m 00s Dear Diary ♥ 0 this is a very authentic game boy experience. the music and the simple pixel art fit the old tech theme perfectly, and the melancholic mood of the story really draws you in. the visuals are very basic, which is expected for the hardware, but the controls felt a bit confusing at first on the itch page. once i figured out the keys, it became a really cute and emotional little narrative. great job. good luck with the ratings!
Oct 26 10:07:48 9m 37s After Anthropocene ♥ 1 the atmosphere here is really strong. the dynamic lighting in the dark corridors creates a genuinely lonely and tense vibe. the music is also fantastic - very sombre and melodic. my main issue was that it was sometimes too dark to see where i was going. i got lost a couple of times just walking around in the pitch black. maybe adding a tiny bit more ambient light, or making the flashlight a bit wider, would help with navigation without ruining the mood. great job!
Oct 26 10:17:04 9m 16s Stars and the Sea ♥ 1 the atmosphere here is incredibly relaxing. the star navigation is a really unique and clever idea, and the instrumental music is just beautiful. it really makes you feel like a lonely sailor lost at sea. it is pretty hard to navigate though. i got completely lost a few times and had to restart because i couldn't figure out which way to go. maybe adding a quick in-game tutorial or a clearer indication of which stars matter would help players not feel so overwhelmed at the start. still, a very beautiful and meditative experience. great job!
Oct 26 10:20:53 3m 49s Steam buggy ♥ 0 the pseudo-3d racing style is a really cool throwback to old arcade games. the idea of driving steam buggies around a procedurally generated track fits the old tech theme perfectly. it feels like a very solid entry. the visuals capture that retro racing vibe really well. good job!
Oct 26 10:28:34 7m 41s Radio Host ♥ 1 the atmosphere here is really unsettling. the abandoned soviet laboratory setting and the idea of tuning an old radio to find fragmented memories is a really unique and spooky way to build the mystery. it fits the old tech theme perfectly. i did find it a bit confusing to figure out what to do next sometimes. the interior space felt a little too large, and without a clear objective list, i got lost a couple of times trying to figure out which room to go to. overall, a very strong and atmospheric entry. good job!
Oct 26 10:32:21 3m 47s Slam Duck ♥ 1 this is a fun little game, especially for a first jam. the idea of rebuilding your car while dodging a duck gang is genuinely funny. i was a bit confused at first about what to do, though. i think adding a small prompt or a tutorial message at the start would help players figure out the controls and the goal right away. overall, a solid first entry. good job!
Oct 26 11:27:08 54m 47s Cyber Cquabble ♥ 0 this is a really fun and accurate throwback to 80s arcade games. you absolutely nailed that "annoying but still good" feeling, and the retro visuals and punishing controls fit the theme perfectly. it's a shame you had to cut the audio entirely. some crunchy 8-bit sound effects and a looping chiptune track would have really completed the experience. still, a very solid entry. great job!
