非常好游戏,使我宝可梦大师旋转

wo-ri-gou-le 2026-10-19 03:08 ♥ 1

I like the battery animation, the idea of pokemon battle and cute remote animations are good but it'd be nice if there's more interactions

labicorne 2026-10-20 09:17 ♥ 1

I think that you have to buy a new remote controler. Really fun, but not a lot of interactions.

xlarsi 2026-10-20 09:19 ♥ 1

Sadly the browser version didn't work for me in either firefox or chrome, desktop did though. I like the concept of having an every day interaction as a pokemon battle

jathurshandev 2026-10-20 09:20 ♥ 1

Small and humorous game, arranged in a pokemon style fight, would have loved more actions, like suddently having the tv turn into a pokemon and then you fight it !

I like the remote animations, the tv should have gotten more love :(

Overall good fun !

@colescott 我想捕捉“野生原野区”(Safari Zone)的那种氛围。很高兴看到你也有同感!希望这段话能被准确地翻译出来 😅

@wo-ri-gou-le picking up a new game library after wasting the first day on an abandoned idea was not the best idea. Maybe I will learn from my mistakes for next time 😆

lomna 2026-10-20 11:06 ♥ 1

@xlarsi was about to skip uploading desktop builds. Glad to know that they were actually useful

@jathurshandev I would have liked to have my old CRT in the game. Sadly we got rid of it last year. So I had to use my top-tier programmer art as a substitute 😁

lomna 2026-10-20 11:10 ♥ 1

@labicorne had to cut a lot of interactions, better time management would be my priority in the next jam (something I tell my self after every jam).

This game is a joke. And a funny one, thanks! Love the animation!

liam 2026-10-20 18:02 ♥ 1

Short but sweet, nice concept. Interface and audio work well together, would just have loved more of the narrative.

This is such a perfect concept for unwinding after a tough day. The feeling of old technology acting as the core mechanic makes these little battles feel really specific and charming.

jesus-gonzalez 2026-10-21 04:13 ♥ 1

Animation is really cool.

lomna 2026-10-21 17:35 ♥ 2

@vorondesan @jesus-gonzalez took me longer to convert to transparent pngs than I would like to admit. Good to see it was worth it!

helagos 2026-10-22 16:17 ♥ 1

Simple game, simple fun. Tiny game but good entry, great job !

Sometimes you shouldn't take your research too far 🙃

Awesome idea with the old remote, it perfectly fits the jam theme! Thanks for the web build, I really enjoyed playing it

chomby 2026-10-24 15:53 ♥ 1

I enjoyed this narrative experience, it was funny. The animations for shaking the remote are well done. The sound design is well done. Congrats on the Compo!

I almost gave up turning on the damn TV 😅

Nice to see a game made in Ruby (I like Ruby and use it on my job; I knew about Dragon Ruby but never tried it)

byte-bark 2026-10-24 19:48 ♥ 1

Short but funny game. does lighten up my mood.

fraanns 2026-10-24 19:59 ♥ 1

Really fun animations. Great idea of using a real recording. I kindof wished that there was more after just trying turning it on. Maybe with some more fun (and maybe non-sensical) dialog or someting like that.

notnasiul 2026-10-26 08:59 ♥ 1

At some point I started clicking the TV as if hitting it from the side, which used to work like a charm in the old days :D

chingiskhan 2026-10-26 09:43 ♥ 1

a really charming little game about just trying to relax after a long day. the idea of fighting with an old remote is genuinely funny, and the animations when you shake it are great.

my only complaint is that it ends way too fast. i was having fun and wanted to see what other weird stuff the tv would do. also, the photo of the hand next to the drawn background looks a bit out of place, though it adds a certain meme vibe to it.

still, it's a fun way to spend two minutes. good job!

@wendel-scardua first time using ruby for me. I liked it! Easier to read for me than python, I do miss static typing though.

@notnasiul hope that worked for you here too 😁

Sitting right next to me is a CRT television that has a bit of a history. It works fine, but the remote was always *super* flaky, not unlike the one in the game. I instinctively just tried a few times and it worked and I about spit my drink. Remotes from the 90's/00's work when they feel like it which is almost never, and that is the truth.

I enjoyed this encounter with old television remotes, it really captures that sometimes it genuinely feels like an RPG battle to get the dang thing to work. 😆

duudel 2026-10-27 18:26 ♥ 1

Very short experience, but works with the theme :)

alex-mulkerrin 2026-10-27 19:43 ♥ 1

At least unlike in the safari zone tvs can't run away! Nice FMV style hand animations. I got 3 different endings are there more? Lovely concept for a game about interacting with technology like a random encounter.
