May 1 12:38:19 Ancistroides Folus ♥ 3 I liked the animations and the monster designs. It wasn't your typical run-of-the-mill pixel art graphics. The style reminded me of the Flash-era games. As for audio, I liked the individual tracks, but given that the game jumps from scene to scene so often it was hard for me to truly get into their vibe. One thing I think would be a great addition to the game would be some more advanced battle mechanic. Also, I've beaten the game twice: one time always declining the jobs, and the other always accepting them and I've won both times, so maybe some balancing would also benefit the game. Regardless, it's a good entry so good job!
May 1 13:22:22 44m 03s Ghostly Notes ♥ 0 The balladesque song in the main menu is legitimately good IMHO and sets up the mood nicely. The art style is clean. I think the blend of 2d and 3d worked nicely. The gameplay itself is simple, while being well executed so not much to say there, but if I were to improve something it would be making the game less repetitive somehow, not sure how though. Dialogues were charming and my favourite ghost would have to be Jerry. The furthest I've gotten is 8 notes.
May 1 14:09:58 47m 36s DemoNoloGist ♥ 1 The vibe is there. I liked the audio and the designs of the demons and the UI. Accessible font, while less atmospheric, was very helpful. I think it would be worth experimenting with making the gameplay more dynamic. Perhaps adding some time pressure or even making it QTE based sort of in the style of "The Typing of the Dead". Then again, solid atmosphere building, and a good level of polish.
May 1 18:10:16 4h 00m Summonology ♥ 0 The presentation is great, both visuals and audio. The interface is clean and feels polished. Level 4 took me a while. I've played the game in the web version and unfortunately, levels 4, 5, and 6 kept crashing after running for a while, which was quite frustrating and made it difficult to experiment with the mechanic and get a hang of it. When I figured it out though, the solution was incredibly satisfying and I managed to complete level 4 without it crashing eventually. I could totally see it being turned into a full game. The bottom line is that the UI is nice and the puzzles are addicting.
May 1 20:13:14 2h 02m Well...Done ♥ 2 Good ambient music, clever puns and the resource management is decently challenging. The minimal art is nice and the game is all-round atmospheric. Great entry with a very good level of polish. Truthfully well... done.
May 1 21:00:58 47m 44s Ascension ♥ 2 As one would expect from a rhythm game, the soundtrack is well-made. I wasn't good enough to hear the songs in their entirety in-game, but I've listened to them on SoundCloud and my favorite tracks were probably the Main Menu theme and Moonweaver. Despite the fact I have, although limited, experience playing rhythm games, even the normal difficulty levels have proven to be too difficult for me to complete them in the time I've been testing this game. The art is very atmospheric. The visuals and the music complement each other well. On the programming side I've experienced no bugs and the main mechanic seems to be working perfectly. And importantly it's fun to play!
May 2 01:00:16 3h 59m 9 Hours Till Chaos Comes ♥ 0 First of all great music and visuals, but what stands out the most to me is the gameplay. This game is complex and I mean it very much in a positive way. It was incredibly fun learning and discovering the mechanics and various interactions that result from them. While based on an old and tested counter system reminiscent of Pokemon or even Rock, paper, scissors, the game nonetheless provides a great number of opportunities to strategize and contains some mechanics that to my eye appear unique. I did not manage to beat the boss, but I feel I will come back to this game to try myself again.
May 2 12:27:51 11h 27m The Quackening ♥ 1 Cute art, I found all the ducklings. The music got me worrying tho!
May 2 13:03:54 36m 03s DESTROY THE WIZARD ♥ 1 The sprites, animations and sfx while simple make a cohesive whole. The game is quite addicting to play. The furthest I've gotten was round 15. I've found the regular archers to pose the most challenge given how fast their projectiles are and seemingly the only practical way of fighting them is shooting at them yourself. This adds to the game an additional layer of resource management (saving arrows and bombs for tougher opponents). I liked how dynamic the game felt. Also the game provides a decent amount of enemy variety. Had fun playing.
May 2 15:47:46 2h 43m Super Pal Summoner! ♥ 1 Cute and addicting. Great level of polish. The UI is nice and clean. Also playing with bubbles on is a must. The game wouldn't be the same without them...
May 2 18:17:53 2h 30m The Summoners ♥ 1 I think it's a cool sketch for a larger game. One thing I would love to see is some mechanic of deciding whether to save mana for later or maybe just a larger mana pool to give more opportunities to strategize. I think the game would also benefit from a greater level of difficulty. I actually did like the art, sure I wouldn't call it polished but it does the job well enough, in particular, I liked the character sprites.
May 2 19:29:18 1h 11m DURO ♥ 4 Great art and atmosphere. Puzzles were creatively made and required creativity to complete. It was genuinely fun solving them. I had one bug where a fireball wouldn't go through some lowered earth walls or at least that is what it seemed like, which left me very confused, as I thought I had misunderstood the mechanic. Now I think of it, maybe it was wind-wizard interference, but I don't think that was the case. Either way, I then restarted the game, and afterwards, it all worked perfectly. Great puzzle game.
May 2 19:56:50 27m 32s SUPER NECROLORDS ♥ 1 The main menu is such a vibe. The music and the unstable retro/arcade filter work so well there. The entire game is full of this arcade machine spirit. I also liked the variety of summon types.
May 2 21:08:28 1h 11m Devotion - A fairytale ♥ 1 Mysterious, unsettling, and a bit crazy, what else would one want from a game about a summoning ritual? The art direction is great. The only think I would wish for is more complex puzzles, as many of the puzzles boiled down to clicking the only possible thing that there was to click. Great experience regardless.
May 3 18:43:40 21h 35m Djinn's Call ♥ 0 Loved the puzzles. The game introduces the mechanics and teaches them to player well, but also provides a decent challenge. The art feels very polished and the sound complements the game well. Very creative puzzle game.
May 3 19:13:12 29m 32s Summoner's Clash ♥ 1 With so many types of cards it was hard to memorize combos. The graphics are great though.
May 3 20:39:18 1h 26m Nuki and The Cookbook ♥ 0 First of all the puzzles themselves were pretty well designed and they were fairly challenging. The control of movement felt weird and I wasn't a fan of how it all worked. The graphics also felt a little uneven, but I liked the character sprites. I also liked the music. It gave the game a nice chill mood. Overall pretty nice puzzle game.
May 3 23:23:33 2h 44m Triumvirosis ♥ 0 I loved the art in between battles and also the monster designs, though I think the arena could have been more detailed, it felt to me a little out of place. Audio is good, but some more variance in battle songs would benefit the game as well. I liked the overall concept for the gameplay, but as other people noted, I think the biggest problem this game has is its pacing. Even when sped up, it's just not that interesting to see the 20th clown enemy do some idle movement. While I think the idea for the friendly summons to behave in a not entirely controlled unpredictable way is great, I also wished for a little bit more tactical control over friendly units. Where the game really shines though is in its mood, I loved that you created entire lore for this game.
May 3 23:36:35 13m 02s Haunted House Survive ♥ 0 I liked the animations and as others mentioned, zombie dogs. A couple of things I think would really improve the overall experience are some nice background, audio, and the ability to have multiple summons. Also, some way to fight on your own would be great, because when there are no bodies left then all you can do is run around.
May 3 23:54:58 18m 23s Medieval Command ♥ 0 The control of the knights felt a little strange to me at first, but I quickly got the hang of it. I like the general concept for the game, but I think it could use some more gameplay variety. In the current build the only consideration for where or whether to send a knight somewhere was their health. One idea I'd have to make the gameplay more dynamic would be an addition of multiple types of enemies and friendly units, so that you'd have to send the right troops to the right places.
