Oct 2 10:48:12 Sky's the Limit ♥ 1 Nice game! Played it several times, though I never quite managed to beat it (insert micheal jackson sounds). The health boosts don't seem to work, so the +999 health upgrades does nothing. I thought i'd beat the game when I finally got that, but no dice. Otherwise I hope you listened to Lady angel about the TODO list. Restarting from level one makes sense, but having to listen to the dialogue every time is a bit irritating. Lastly, I rarely actually fought the slimes. Making them drop something might make fighting them more interesting. Aside from that, I really liked the game! The music is nice and fun, and the art and colors look great. I hope you continue to make games. You've earned yourself a follower!
Oct 2 11:09:27 21m 15s The Carver ♥ 2 Really cool mechanic! Nice and intuitive, really well done! As it stands it's a little too easy for me, but it's still a lot fun. You could increase the difficulty by having the enemies spawn a little more spread out. At the moment you can kill most of the enemies with one wall as they spawn. Also, the wand moving the wall is a bit overpowered. Making it simply remove the wall should be enough. Difficuly could also be increased by having the wand have a much longer recharge time. The sound design could also use some work, especially the wand - it's a little too high pitched, and could use some punch. Otherwise the game looks really nice. Limited palette pixel art is the way to go in gamejams, and you really pulled it off. There's a lot of potential here, I hope your game does well. Good luck!
Oct 2 11:27:56 18m 29s Give Me Money ♥ 1 You absolutely nailed the art, and more than that, the sound design is amazing! A super fun twist on the idle game genre. I sadly got tired of it before the third size upgrade. After the first couple of upgrades, there wasn't alot to do besides walking in circles and waiting. Somehow giving the player other actions needed to optimise the amount of money they gain might improve things - fixing machines and such. The level of polish is incredible though. Well done!
Oct 2 13:25:50 1h 57m Depths of Eonar ♥ 3 tiny game.png The game is teeny tiny for me here on ludum. Send me a comment when you fix the itch.io page, then i'll try it out there!
Oct 2 13:42:20 16m 30s DEFRAG-MENTOR ♥ 0 Fun! This had a cool twist on the theme, and great visuals! Speaking of theme, the computer theming of the game felt unique, and fit the genre really well. If you were to continue working on this, I'd recommend adding as much juice to the game as you possibly can, make the bullets bigger, and make the anti virus hit their targets a bit better. Also moving your windows during a match can be a bit overpowered in the early game, but balances itself out pretty quickly. Good job!
Oct 2 13:49:53 7m 33s Wind In The Sails ♥ 0 This runs extremely slowly on my laptop for some reason. I promise to get around to playing this in a week, when i get access to my stationary pc again. btw I often forget how much a megabyte really is. This website really put things in perspective: ludum damn.png
Oct 2 14:17:41 27m 48s Diminutive Dungeon ♥ 2 Nice game! This could easily be built upon to make a nice puzzler. Some points of feedback: There were no stakes, which made the game feel a bit boring at times. If I died, id just resurface with all my stuff, so I didn't have to think too hard. Resurfacing in general felt bad. I wanted to continue down until I couldn't, and the inventory system just felt like I died because I played well. Aside from all that negativity, I loved the artstyle. The game was intuitive, the colors splitting what each character could do was fun. This is already pretty great. With some difficulty scaling as you go deeper, and some more variation in puzzles, and some more juice, this could be really engaging. Hope your game does well!
Oct 2 17:54:46 3h 37m Space Phantasy XIV - Disc 5 ♥ 1 Fuck yeah! Fuck yeah! This is so good! While statuses are super inbalanced and 5 stacks of fire means instant loss, i found it really fun to try to try to use that to my advantage. The fact that I could easily lose if I ended up with the wrong "friend" on the poison and fire type meant that every decision mattered a lot. It ended up becoming a weird kind of puzzle game. Also super funny! Looking forward to the 15 part game series following their kid. Lastly, I appreciate your honesty about fixing the bugs! That will definitely slightly boost your score on my part. Great job!
Oct 2 18:05:18 10m 32s Skull Hoarder's Club ♥ 1 Plays like strange skull blackjack, which is in all ways a compliment. I've always wanted to play weird skull blackjack!
Oct 2 18:14:15 8m 57s Tetrominated ♥ 0 And here I thought I was being original when making a tetris variation with bombs! This is super cool! I like the scrolling mechanic, but the bombs felt like they didn't do much. I think boosting their effect could help a lot. Also the sound design needs a rework, the main moving sound is irritating. Loved the music though, and it looks really clean. Hope your game does well! Go team tetris!
Oct 2 21:24:59 3h 10m Bottle Royale ♥ 1 Nicely done! Liked the spritework, and the concept was great! Would advise allowing WASD on browser games aswell, as arrowkeys made my browser scroll up and down. Hope you enjoyed ludum dare! For now that you've started, you can never leave!!! Muhahahahaha!
Oct 2 21:36:47 11m 48s The Crater Village Game ♥ 1 I loved the X/O system you included! The coinflip adds randomness to solo play in a way that The Quiet Year lacked for me. I'll try it out when I can, this looks super cool!
Oct 2 21:38:40 1m 53s Under Trykk ♥ 1 Å nei! Error.png
Oct 2 21:50:02 11m 22s Snow Rose ♥ 1 Could you also upload the game as a zip file? I don't have win rar installed, so I can't extract the game
Oct 2 21:54:23 4m 21s Ship of Theseus ♥ 0 Could you upload the game as a zip file? Many won't bother to install a 7z unzipper when games are this plentiful (me included) but i'd love to try the game
Oct 2 22:00:40 6m 17s Shrinking Space ♥ 1 I got a highscore of 1920! Wahoo! I like the game, and it 100% fits the theme to a tee! I have some feedback: The color scheme looks a bit confused - Using several high saturation colors will tend to do that. Having some calmer colors might offset that. You also kinda just wait for death in the last 20 seconds or so. Spawning more rings during the game might be a solution, but there's likely better ways too. Well done and good luck!
Oct 7 09:25:30 107h 24m Going Up ♥ 2 This is really funny! Great game! I love the artstyle, and the voice acting is perfect. Also really liked that characters changed poses when you picked them up. I'd like to second frogmans reply about highlighting the squares, or simply making the characters more blocky so they more obviously fill the squares. Tall guy is the worst offender here. At some points I didn't notice that a square was empty, so I was stuck for a bit. Also, making the characters snap to the middle of one of their "blocks" instead of the sprite might make it easier to place them. All in all a really great entry!
