Oct 4 20:48:29 A "Ding" In The Dark ♥ 1 It's funny we made similar games! I'm not sure if I got the full experience? I answered the emails for a while but nothing else spooky happened. There were some mails about replying, and I wasn't sure what to do with those. I like the vibe though, and the many emails gave some stress. Good job!
Oct 4 21:46:41 58m 12s Don't Go Into the Light ♥ 2 Nice game! The light was maybe a bit too bright, but that's understandable because it's such an important part of the game. It had a good difficulty, and the ending was nice.
Oct 5 11:38:43 13h 52m Fatal Desolation ♥ 2 I really like the use of the 10 seconds theme here. Traversing is through the space station like this is somewhat of a challenge but not difficult. The problem is though that the added elements of lasers and monsters don't really work well. Or at least not in the way they are used. The lasers are mostly in the center of the corridors, so I'm punished for going properly flying through them. The monsters in the room are way too many, and by how slow your rotate it's hard to shoot the monsters behind you in time. Because of that I sadly have not been able to beat the game, even after a good amount of attempts. I like the low poly graphics, and the atmosphere is well done!
Oct 5 13:04:37 1h 25m Another one bites the dust ♥ 1 Pretty good! The flashlight worked well, and added to the mood of the game. Some more feedback would've been nice. Like a sound every 10 seconds.
Oct 5 13:55:12 50m 35s Alchemist vs Werewolves ♥ 1 The art is really cool! Could've done with some sound effects. The brewing was a bit confusing to me, even after reading the description. Some visual of the items entering the bottle would've been nice. I'm also not a big fan of the controls. With the shooting on R it's hard to walk to the upper right and to shoot at the same time.
Oct 5 14:55:58 1h 00m 10 Snekonds ♥ 2 The game is pretty good, but gets frustrating after a while. There many small things that build up to an unpleasant experience. Like how the camera doesn't move well with the player, so you only get to see a small part of where you going ( and if there are any blocks laying there). The game is also very punishing by being game over after hitting a wall. Especially considering that the main target, the pyramid, is also a wall. The enemies move, so it's hard to hit them. The fact that the wall on the left is on the same height as the pyramid's target makes it also difficult to hit it. I've played for like 15 minutes but never was not able to beat it unfortunately. The music is nice but doesn't really fit the game. What I do like is the art style. It's cute and simple. The colors are nice. I feel like you have a solid game here apart from some these small nuisances.
Oct 5 16:15:18 1h 19m Robot ♥ 1 Some things were a bit confusing. Like I still don't understand why each move says '2', when it only seems to do this action once, and it doesn't decrease after being used. Protecting the batteries also means that you mostly need to stay in the same spot. I like the idea of the game though!
Oct 5 18:49:45 2h 34m Pig Clicker ♥ 1 Yay pig.png I like how you can buy non-gameplay things as well! And the different oinks made me laugh!
Oct 5 19:05:19 15m 34s Stuck gun ♥ 2 Pretty good game! I like that you have two different worlds. My complaint however is that they're a bit too big. Walking all the way to each part takes a long time, and isn't much fun. Big isn't always good. I also like how you have all these different creatures. Good job!
Oct 5 22:38:29 3h 33m Accelerato ♥ 2 Interesting idea, but the execution is lacking. I like how the wrong key plays a note instead, but there's no joy in trying to find the right keys. And when you finally found them, they change again. If the music players were colored in such way so that they correspond with a key, it could be more interesting. I do like the art, though the background could be a bit darker blend in as much with the stuff in the foreground.
Oct 6 07:29:31 8h 51m Jake Count : Four times to live ♥ 2 Really impressive that you guys were able to make all that content in such a short time! I found the gimmick to be annoying at first. You barely have any time to get to know the level, and sometimes I forgot in which direction I was going. Later on I saw that more as part of the challenge. I like how not only you have 4 levels, but also how each level has its own mechanic. Well done!
Oct 6 11:09:46 3h 40m Bork ♥ 1 I tried to understand how this game works, but I wasn't able to figure it out. Even after reading the rules multiple times I still got confused. For example, I'm not sure what it means to select dice. Do I select the dice that I want to reroll, or the ones that will stay? Sometimes when I click reroll I'm already borked before the roll even happened. Is it because of the dice I already had? It's just all very confusing to me, and that's unfortunate. I like the singing, and it was a nice addition that the guy kept telling sea-related jokes.
Oct 6 13:00:46 1h 51m Pixel Defense ♥ 0 Pretty good! Unfortunately after placing a bunch of turrets and houses you basically won the game already. It could've used a bit more balancing to keep up the challenge a bit longer. Some sound effects would've been nice. I like the pixel art though!
Oct 6 13:28:40 27m 54s The Great Escape ♥ 2 I believe I got the 10 seconds, so no slow-down or speed-up. But man, you're on a very tight schedule with this game. After a while I was very fast with clicking on Get up -> Go down and Climb -> Pretend to sleep. I can imagine many people would find the game to be too hard. It's a good thing I like a challenge. The color choice is interesting, in a positive way. Good job!
Oct 6 13:56:59 28m 19s Find It! ♥ 1 Pretty good! At first I didn't realize you could search for the words. That made it a lot harder haha! After three rounds it already gets very hard. It's unfortunate that the 10 second time limit causes that quick increase in difficulty. Here's an idea: Every round you get to see some items, and after 3 seconds you see the same items shuffled, with an item added. You need to look for the added item, which also requires you to memorize what was already there. I think that could be fun. Anyway, good job!
Oct 6 15:24:02 1h 27m Y.A.Z.S.G ♥ 2 The game plays well, but is unfortunately too easy. I simply kept choosing fire rate, and that way the enemies never even got close. Because of this I also didn't need to use my special ability. It's understandable though. Often you barely have any time left to balance your game. I like the music and the graphics. The shaders work well. And I think it's nice that you can choose between two characters. Good job!
Oct 6 18:58:06 3h 34m Flashey (VR Only) ♥ 1 Since not many people have VR I figured I should help with rating this. Cool game! It's interesting how the flash stays in my eyes for a moment, and I get the illusion that I'm still able to see what's in front of me. The fact that your pictures leave a trail which you can use to guide your way is a clever addition. I did have a few problems with the game though. I wish grabbing stuff was a toggle rather than a hold. On my VIVE that button isn't the most comfortable to hold for a long time. I also had some trouble with pushing stuff open, and at the end I wasn't sure what to do with the fuse. Because of that I was never able to beat the game. Really clever mechanic though!
Oct 7 00:43:42 5h 45m Desynchronization Escape ♥ 1 Nice game! It seemed like an impossible task at first, but I got the hang of the timing after a while and was able to escape. Interesting game mechanic for sure!
Oct 7 12:08:15 11h 24m DingDongDie ♥ 1 Aww man, I had hoped to play more! An interesting take on the bullet hell genre. Good graphics and amazing music. Seriously, where can I find more by this composer? An idea: Randomize the position of the reload-bullet. That way you're forced to walk around more, instead of always being in that upper area. Unfortunate that there weren't many waves, but good job either way!
Oct 7 12:15:23 7m 08s Type Traveler ♥ 1 I used to play Stepmania so this game is right up my alley. It's satisfying to get a long streak, and to get it fast. That said, the effect for when you make a mistake is way too aggressive. It's like a small jump scare every time it happens, which doesn't make for a great experience. Still enjoyed it though. Good job!
Oct 7 12:32:12 16m 49s Keep Skating and Nobody Explodes ♥ 1 Pretty good! Always love a game that makes me think I'm good at skateboarding. Perhaps the key combination time window was a bit too tight. I fumbled while I felt like I had pressed it correctly. A bit of audio would've been nice.
Oct 8 14:21:50 25h 49m Blink ♥ 1 Amazing game! Very impressive for 72 hours. The art style is nice, with an unique palette which works really well. I love how the blinking is not simply a fade to black, but actually the motion of an eyelid. The mechanic of blinking teleporting you to a different location is interesting, and I love how you discover rather than being told that water prevents that from happening. The plants are a great addition for showing the player what they have already explored. I'm not sure how I feel about the QR codes. An interesting choice for sure, not something I have seen in a game before. It also adds a bit to the mystery of it all. The downside is that, definitely in a game where you don't have much time, you need to put in the effort of scanning the code. If there was no water that meant me taking a screenshot, pasting it in paint, and then grabbing my phone to scan the code. All those actions take me out of the game. In addition to that, the QR codes feel out of place in the game's setting. The story about a king gives off a medieval vibe, but to read about it we use modern technology. The ending was a bit confusing to me. I thought that at the castle I had to run all the way to the right, jump over those gaps and hold shift while I keep walking to the right. You barely have the time to make it, so it made perfect sense to me that this would be what I was supposed to do. Not only for this but for the gameplay in general it would've been nice if there was a sound effect for walking. That way the player will know when they hit a wall. Overall a solid game with great music that helps set the mood of the entire adventure.
Oct 8 14:36:33 14m 43s Dragua ♥ 1 Nice game! I think it would've been nice if I had some timer or indicator about the flame as I went out into the woods. Now every time I teleported it's because I wasn't sure about the state of the flame.
Oct 8 21:41:09 7h 04m An Average Day At The Cat Cafe ♥ 0 Nice game you got there. The art style is very cute of course, and the music completes the chill mood that you'd expect from a the "cat cafe". At first it's quite stressful, but after a while you get the hang of all the recipes and can make everything really fast, which is fun. The spooky night time mode with the strange customers is a nice addition. I would've liked a certain goal to reach, so that I could repeatedly play until I reach that goal. Anyways, good job!
Oct 9 00:04:06 2h 22m Sneak Guy ♥ 1 Really nice game! I did have some frustrations with the guards noticing me while I felt like I was perfectly in hiding, but other than that it was quite enjoyable! It's fun to strategize with the items you have. When to use which item? There wasn't much variety, but the funny story made up for that. Good job!
Oct 9 17:13:54 17h 09m Heartbeat ♥ 1 Really good game! Definitely felt the stress as more systems started to fail. If there was no red flashing light upon my heart failing it probably would've taken me a lot more tries to get it right. Perhaps the music could've been more tense, but the current soundtrack also has its place as the character calming themselves. Good job!
Oct 15 16:42:58 143h 29m RED RINK ♥ 3 Amazing what you were able to make in such a short time! The gameplay, the AI, the music, the voice overs, the graphics for all the different teams, the transitions. Really impressive! The game is a lot of fun. In between all the chaos it would've been nice to have a (better) indicator for the bomb exploding, though not exactly knowing when it's gonna explode also makes it more tense. What more can I say other than that everything about this is just awesome? Well done!
