Hard game, but very funny,i like this style
I really like the concept and the overall visuals but controls are a little bit hard to adjust to Still had a lot of fun !
Thanks!
I really like the art style and idea of this game, but I think it would be much easier to use mouse buttons instead R and T keys (which is hard to press when you walk using WASD).
The art style is great! I really liked the idea, great job!
Love the art style, specially the werewolves!
Stopped finding ingredients after a while, not sure why.
I think putting the button to fire a missile on the mouse would be great since you already have to aim with the mouse. Different splash effects for the potions would have also been great to have. Overall nice art plus a cohesive style still make this a fun game :)
I really love the art style! :)
The art is really cool! Could've done with some sound effects. The brewing was a bit confusing to me, even after reading the description. Some visual of the items entering the bottle would've been nice. I'm also not a big fan of the controls. With the shooting on R it's hard to walk to the upper right and to shoot at the same time.
@owca @limoncello @yirsi @sheepolution Thanks for the feedbacks! Changed the controls to left and right click, but sadly can't now add things like different splash effects because of the jam rules (can't add new features as i remember). We even have all required sprites for that. Also about the ingredients: fire adds damage over time, ice adds freezing, red tongue adds big instant damage and slime adds slow, the splash after throwing inflicts those effects. The more ingredients you add the longer would effect stay on enemies, adding same ingredients makes the effect stronger (except freeze). Also maximum is 3 ingredients per craft for now
@slimebro yeah, especially with the time limit it can get a bit hectic with adding new stuff. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with for the next game jam tho ^^
Love the idea, but the game could have benefited from more input feedback when making the potions and having to make the potions and then pick the one you wish to throw is a bit unconformable when trying to dodge the ware-wolfs. The potion bottle filling up and the potions out placing them in the players hands would have helped.
The game is good, great idea and lovely art.
This style is fantastic! I was giggling so hard at my cute little alchemist waddling through the woods. It was pretty difficult brewing potions and running from werewolves constantly. Would have been nice to have a bit of a break to figure out what potion to make. I also agree with a previous post that it would be nice to have some sort of visual of what was going into the potion bottle; couldn't quite understand what I was doing when I added ingredients to the bottle. Loved the styling for your inventory and potion bar, though! Really love this concept overall. Good job!
Pretty cool idea, crafting potions as you play. The mountains didn't have colliders though so I just ran left forever lol. Apart from this, fun game!
The art looks great. Definitely had fun playing and trying each element. Took me a bit to realize I need to drag the ingredients into the potion bottle XD
I really liked the art! I found it hard to make potions at the same time I was running from werewolves--it felt like there were a huge number of werewolves right away, and so I didn't feel like I had time to fiddle around and guess what ingredients I should try. I think brewing potions on the fly is a really good concept, though; maybe just some tweaking the balance could get it to a place where I felt like I could really appreciate the fun of it.
love the art, and it was challenging crafting potions while dodging the furballs! great job!
Pretty fun! I'd love some cartoony sound effects. Nice job!
very cute art style for the characters and very detailed backgrounds! The music is nice, I wish it would have looped! I thought your interpretation of the theme was original! I would have liked to be able to track when a potion was brewing- some indication of the ten second timer. great work!
The art was pretty nice. Good job for the submission!
I like the concept of having to gather ingredients and brew potions during combat. I ended up finding it a bit frantic to balance between movement, attacking and brewing, it was hard to keep focus on both movement/attacks and the potions brewing, so I didn't have much time to really think about how or what to brew.
That art has a lot of personality, I really love the overall visual style and the nice touches with the background (love the mural).
Great work!
We saw a Unity3D scene background :D Nice work, surely should to loop a sound, add some animations and colliders. Nice job, keep it going!
Fairly good stuff. Though I relied far more on basic shooting than the alchemy, so the scene ended up littered with ingredients. Event after catching up with potion brewing part (and good job on making it work in a simple way that doesn't need instructions), I'd still find basic shooting to be good enough to slay werewolves and stay alive. The fact that you can shoot as fast as you click the mouse makes it OP but more fun, I enjoyed it as simply a shooter with gorgeous graphics that is beyond Jam level.
Nice job with this game! I love the idea of a top-down twin-stick basically but you're also trying to collect ingredients and make potions simultaneously that will help you out. I was a little lost at first not knowing what I was supposed to do to make the potions (drag the items into the bottle) but I got it thanks to the arrows and stuff on the UI. I did have a few bugs such as no audio the first round (but after dying it showed up) and my character at some point would always move up even when I wasn't touching the keys. But hey this was a lot of fun and I really liked the art for the character and the werewolves. Awesome job!
