| Oct 5 15:27:17 | Endless Parasomnia | ♥ 2 | There seems to be some issues with your upload. The camera is detached from the pivot point so turning with the mouse rotates around the body causing me to clip through the walls. Maybe the unity web build has some issues? I tried to figure out the controls but all I could gather was wsad to move and clicking the mouse turns the flashlight on and off. I couldn't figure out how to interact with the doors. That said, I might have not actually been next to them when I thought I was due to the detached camera issue I noted above. If you upload a new build fixing those issues please let me know so I can check out the game! | |
| Oct 5 15:31:06 | 3m 49s | Equilibrium | ♥ 1 | Good idea for a game! This could be fun as a phone app. My current high score is 75. A good way to improve the game might be to make there be a delay before you can place another object. This could help get around the strategy of just clicking as humanly fast as possible to get a high score without really strategically thinking about where to place your next block. |
| Oct 5 23:22:20 | 7h 51m | Ethereal Runner | ♥ 3 | Really cool! The mood from the audio, visuals, and story was really cool. The game was a little text heavy for me at the beginning, but I really appreciated the touches like being able to press space while the typewriter effect was going to instantly display all the text as well as the small text animations sprinkled in here and there. Having a tutorial level was a neat idea to ease the player in instead of dropping them right into the deep end. Great job, cool game! |
| Oct 5 23:43:14 | 20m 54s | One Dark Day | ♥ 3 | Really well written and very funny! Loved the small jokes everywhere. I really enjoyed the spoof of startup culture during the scene where the minions wanted kind bars (instead of mean bars) and vegan flesh for the zombies. The art for each page was also well done and helped boost the mood over being just a bunch of words. Overall, this was great! |
| Oct 5 23:46:55 | 3m 41s | Cave In | ♥ 1 | Lots of potential here for a party game or mobile game. Also the AI kicked my butt, haha. It took me four attempts before I won. The graphics were charming and the game was solid with no bugs. Good job! |
| Oct 5 23:57:27 | 10m 32s | Cytoplasm Madness | ♥ 3 | Cute game! I made it to 1850 score. The sound effects, music, and art all really fit the mood of the game. It felt very polished and I liked the little cutscene at the beginning. Overall, this is a really cool project for a game jam! |
| Oct 6 00:11:37 | 14m 10s | Temple Tumble | ♥ 2 | Wow, the graphics in this game look so polished! I really like the little dust particles and lighting. The shooting felt good and there was great feedback with the screenshake and color flash. I don't think I ever died to an enemy though, just kept accidentally rolling into holes in the ground, haha. Overall, this is an incredible polished and fun little shooter. Oh, and I accidentally left the starting room without grabbing the pistol first time around, lol. |
| Oct 6 00:22:38 | 11m 01s | RAGE HORSE | ♥ 4 | I know this is unfinished but it's such a cool base for a game! I thought it was cool the first time I dashed and knocked a body back with me. A lot of really nicely polished details like that, or the screenshake, paralaxed background, etc. It seems like there's only one level in the game right now, correct? After grabbing the files and making it back to my car and interacting again the game reset. I would love to see more levels like this. Felt kind of Hotline Miami mixed with Gunpoint. Really cool and well done even if it's unfinished! |
| Oct 6 00:40:40 | 18m 02s | Recoil Man | ♥ 2 | Really funny idea. Got hard to control at times but I think with some refinement this game could be really cool! I found a few areas where I missed a jump and died but it respawned me _after_ the jump that I missed. Still a very enjoyable game for a game jam. I also liked the addition of multiple weapons. Good work! Edit: I forgot to say in my original comment that the checkpoint system really helped the game play better. It would have been very frustrating to miss one jump and have to redo a whole level. |
| Oct 6 02:05:09 | 1h 24m | My Kid Is a Werewolf | ♥ 1 | Good base for a game. It kind of reminded me of Plants vs Zombies with the different lanes. I also liked how sometimes enemies came from behind you instead of just to the right. One small improvement is to add some screenshake and other juice when getting hit and collecting the yellow shirt guys. I think that could really help the game feel. Congrats on finishing your game! |
| Oct 6 02:12:29 | 7m 20s | A Frog's Life T_T | ♥ 1 | Good idea for the theme. The main frog was cute and I liked the graphics. I think some extra juice would be really nice like punching the frog's scale when leaping between pads, etc. Overall, good game and good fit for the theme! |
| Oct 6 03:09:07 | 56m 38s | Disturbed Void | ♥ 3 | Cool idea! I felt like the RNG played a little bigger role in my success than I would have liked. One time when I started there were three enemies right above me firing away! Overall, the graphics were good and the movement and wall jumping felt fun. Good job! |
| Oct 6 03:16:24 | 7m 17s | The Trials Of Yoltic | ♥ 4 | Cool game! I'm terrible at it, haha. I really liked the minimalist pixel art style and the secondary animations on the players face were a nice touch. Congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry! :) |
| Oct 6 03:26:35 | 10m 11s | Breaking Even | ♥ 0 | Cool idea for a game. Kind of reminded me of a mix of Flappy Bird (play until you lose) and 2048. The sounds and music were nice and the game was really "juicy". I especially liked the effect when you clear a stage. Good job! |
| Oct 6 03:31:01 | 4m 26s | Unstable(d) | ♥ 2 | Hilarious take on the theme. I love the pun with the name. The idea of the game takes me back to school when I used to play "launcher" genre games on newgrounds. The art and animations were nice as well. Great job! Edit: Okay, I've played a few more rounds of the game. My only real complaint is sometimes stars spawn inside rocks making it impossible to get them. Otherwise, really fun game! The upgrades make it addicting. |
| Oct 6 03:38:25 | 7m 24s | Herman's Fallacy | ♥ 3 | I really liked how absurd this game was, haha. I loved sending him ragdoll and trying to get over obstacles with ridiculous physics. Definitely hit the theme of unstable on the head! Good job! :) |
| Oct 6 03:54:59 | 16m 34s | Mad Zomber | ♥ 0 | Fun little game. It seemed like the dominant strategy to not taking damage was to cheese the enemies and get them to only fight you one at a time. Overall, good game for a jam and it's always ambitious when a dev takes on making a third person game! Good job! |
| Oct 6 03:57:56 | 2m 57s | BLOOPS! | ♥ 4 | Cool game! I liked the take on tetris, haha. The blocks could use a little more mass so they aren't so "jumpy". Overall, cool game, good take on the theme, good job! bloops.png |
| Oct 8 18:17:13 | 62h 19m | Tables & Tremors | ♥ 2 | Cool game! I liked the concept and sending tables flying is always good fun. The art for the hands was nice and it was a good take on the theme. The mix of 2D and 3D art/levels was nicely done. The levels ramp up nicely and the core game is really fun. Good job! |
| Oct 8 18:22:28 | 5m 15s | ALL PLANED | ♥ 3 | Hilarious take on the theme! I felt so bad when I had the passengers standing a little too close to the end and they screams as they got whisked off. Such a simple concept expertly implemented. The art was fantastic, the camera work at the beginning was cool, the effects were good, the sound was good, and the game functioned well. What a fantastic entry! Good job!! |
| Oct 8 18:26:34 | 4m 06s | Where's My Tripod? | ♥ 2 | Nice! The concept was funny. I really appreciate the focus on taking pictures instead of hunting in a game like this. :) The pixel art was really well done. Very polished all around game. Great job! |
| Oct 8 18:36:13 | 9m 39s | Wobbly Penguins | ♥ 7 | Whoa, that was so polished and well executed! I loved the twist after a couple levels. Honestly shocked me the first time that monster came out of the wall after me. I really appreciated how the main menu changed so the penguin had red eyes after you beat it. What a fantastic concept that was well executed on. Kudos to the entire team, from art to code to music/sfx, it was all so well done. |
| Oct 8 18:41:03 | 4m 50s | Prefabricated Highrise | ♥ 2 | Nice! My best is 41. It got easier once I realized I didn't need to stack on top of the previous and could spread them out more. Really cool game. The art and design were solid. I appreciated the subtle differences in the block art. Great entry! Also not related to this game, but your other game Cathedral 3-D is really cool looking too! |
| Oct 8 18:47:24 | 6m 21s | You won't believe your result from this personality test! | ♥ 2 | Good take on a game jam to do a buzzfeed style quiz! The questions got a good chuckle out of me and I went through the quiz a couple times to see a few endings. Good job! |
