Oct 5 19:15:10 Scootles ♥ 2 Having driven a mobility scooter I can say this game is too realistic! But in all seriousness, it's very satisfying to hit products and see all the numbers pop up, so the "reverse game" scenario sounds quite fun. I think the scooter could have done with a tighter turning circle and higher friction but I had lots of fun driving around checking my mirrors.
Oct 5 19:28:28 13m 18s The Stone Giant ♥ 1 I like when the music changed, and the art was very peaceful (I know he is attacking lol). I found it hard at the beginning, maybe starting off without a full giant and no balls firing at you so you can learn the mechanics? IDK - it was cool to see how modular the system was.
Oct 5 20:13:36 45m 08s Island Merchant ♥ 2 Really responsive feeling controls. I think the only thing you may want to add is to hold space to grab boxes as I was tapping it, but that's a very small suggestion. The graphics are nice and bright and create a fun sea faring atmosphere.
Oct 5 20:37:38 24m 02s Unstable escape ♥ 2 This is beautiful and fun to play, with really nice simple, clear mechanics. But, Lol I pressed ctrl+w to crawl and it closed the webpage (on chrome ctrl+w closes a tab), maybe rebind ctrl to something else like shift for the web version? Really cool entry though.
Oct 5 20:51:07 13m 29s Dungeonball 2 ♥ 2 This is a cool little game. I liked the spikey ball enemy which was an obstacle that embraced the mechanics of the game well.
Oct 5 21:05:01 13m 54s Unstable Magic ♥ 2 Really nice colors and cute pixels. The witch's wand did feel like it was out of control.
Oct 6 10:27:34 13h 22m Eldritch Horse ♥ 1 Funny topical intro text, a perfect amount of context for the game. The artwork is really serene in this game, the colors work well with the backgrounds. Also the filter that happens as you get more mutated works well as the garish colors contrast so well. Great percussion sounds in the soundtrack and when hitting objects.
Oct 6 14:02:22 3h 34m Deathrail ♥ 3 Nice line art graphics, the clean aesthetic grabbed my attention. Funky little tune too!
Oct 6 16:19:38 2h 17m Hardwork Simulator ♥ 1 Fantastic idea and execution, using all the right elements that make it feel whole. The familiarity of the word editor and the humour of the stick men is top quality. Great!
Oct 7 17:56:32 25h 36m Chickie Catchers ♥ 2 Wow best butt wiggling and parachuting of the jam. Really well thought out game with nice simple mechanics. I did single player and it was very fun. The animation and colors really fit in with the characters and it all sort of makes sense in the context and you can imagine the story of what's going on. Great job.
Oct 7 18:10:53 14m 21s Mt. Deep Space ♥ 2 Lol this is very funny. The music is absolutely banging. Love the transition when it kicks in feels good. Them falling out and having to catch them is very funny too. Good job.
Oct 8 08:30:50 14h 19m Stable Dynamics Inc. ♥ 1 Wow this is great and what a tutorial/intro. It made it very clear what was going on and also was fun to fly through the scenes. The audio is great too, the TTS works in the setting. Also things like a see through play body so you can see the feet are nice touches. Feels very polished and cohesive.
Oct 8 08:49:10 18m 20s Losing the Signal ♥ 4 Haha this is brutally difficult for what seems to be quite a moody game. As others have said, and my main game jam advice, is to make your game much easier as when you're making it you are constantly playing it so are very used to the controls and know where to go, whilst others have no idea, also completing a game is much more satisfying than failing it. Anyway, the sounds and graphics are very cute. And the atmosphere is really cool, very sombre. Good job.
Oct 9 10:46:43 25h 57m Tanks 'n robots ♥ 1 This is cool! Love the movie intros, especially the ending as it tied the game off nicely with the red->green transition, made it feel complete. Compo too? That's crazy. Yes the controls could be a little tighter, and clearer where projectiles land etc. instead of raycast bullets, but it was still really fun and clear what to do. I liked the tutorial mapped to right mouse button and the layout of the level, with it directing players to the base (which was also shown in the intro, so that made me recognize it). The difficulty was at the right level as I was able to complete it without feeling frustrated or bored. Great job.
Oct 9 16:30:53 5h 44m LCD DREAM ESCALATOR ♥ 1 It's an instant classic. Just pure immersion from the get go. The music is wild, the graphics are wild, the game design is wild - yet it all makes perfect sense.
Oct 9 16:38:37 7m 44s UNSTAckaBLE ♥ 1 This is a very cool little game. Simple easy-to-understand concept that is well executed. Good job.
Oct 9 16:45:52 7m 15s BALANCING ACT ♥ 1 Soundtrack is really cool in this game and I like the sprite work. Elevator transitions looked amazing as well. Well done to the team.
Oct 9 16:50:57 5m 05s Unstable: Lilly's Revenge ♥ 1 This game is __good__ Love the style and how quick and simple it is to get into. *spoiler* - The horse coming out of the stable was very funny - my favourite game ending of the jam so far. Thank you for this, and I hope the dog is enjoying lots of wet food with the horse.
Oct 9 17:37:53 46m 56s The Builders ♥ 0 Hehe this is cool. The giant sign did make me laugh. But it was really cool how much the environment would instantly change, really made you not know what to expect next.
Oct 10 17:13:40 23h 35m Firestarter ♥ 1 Interesting mechanic and quite funny that the fire engine burns trees. The controls felt good, looked like the whole game took place on top of grass block in minecraft ;) - It was fun and quick!
Oct 10 17:30:14 16m 34s Morning After ♥ 2 The devs definitely know what hangovers are like. Really cool graphics, and the voiceover was a nice touch too. I like how small the game world was, but how detailed it was inside. Good job :)
Oct 10 18:14:05 43m 51s LIFE|DEATH ♥ 1 The graphics are great, I like the colours of the ghosts. The game is quite challenging! But it has a cool atmosphere.
Oct 10 18:22:06 8m 01s Failing 4 You ♥ 1 Cool music and graphics. The AI following mechanic is very interesting too. The platforming was a little tricky but the atmosphere kept me going forward.
Oct 10 18:27:39 5m 33s Grabanakki ♥ 1 Woah what a cool mechanic. Really like how simple but complex destroying a level to defeat enemies could be. Really inspiring.
Oct 10 19:06:14 38m 35s Tipsy ♥ 0 Really funny character and environment. The texting in the tutorial really set the mood.
Oct 10 19:07:41 1m 27s Unstable Ground ♥ 0 Really like the music, it was a bop. Quite a difficulty spike on the third level, but very quick to restart again. I played on Linux under WINE and the game worked perfectly.
Oct 11 20:02:33 24h 54m Psycho-unstable Journey ♥ 1 Wow this is really inspiring. You use of color, textures and lighting is amazing, the highway looked truly beautiful, especially the lightning making the sky glow. The interactions were really fun and the game design made it clear where you had to go next. Fantastic. Thanks for making this trip!
