May 8 00:49:12 Deep Mine ♥ 1 A very impressive entry - especially the music. Simple and nice gameplay, and follows the theme really well. The graphics are simple, but I did enjoy them.
May 8 00:53:27 4m 15s Stabalot ♥ 0 What a nice idea - I got confused by controls in the beginning (maybe a write up next time would be nice?), but then got a hang of it. Even though pico is not the best thing for graphics, I still find it fascinating that the most unique game I find are made using pico. Great job!
May 8 00:58:53 5m 26s Dwarf Bros ♥ 1 Interesting take on the controls, but I did find that most of the time Luiz just ended up stuck somewhere, and I couldn't really make much progress without him. I did find that the game quickly became repetitive though - there just wasn't too much to do there, but great job on graphics though - I liked them.
May 8 01:04:39 5m 46s Deep Learning Simulator 2021 ♥ 1 I wanted the better graphics on desktop version but the Windows link is broken - oh no. Well, I played the browser version instead. I really liked the ability to "draw" the level. I found the game to be quite challenging though, with just too many stats to keep track of - that's just me though. This is exactly what I needed to pass my AI class at my university 😄
May 8 01:09:05 4m 26s Deeper And Deeper ♥ 0 From the description I can see that a lot has went into making this work - great job. I was sure Pico was going to break after some time, but I guess I did not get far enough. But I have to agree that there is not much to it than just walking in a random maze - the tech is cool though.
May 8 01:13:49 4m 44s Cloud 57 ♥ 0 That's a lot of work done for a Compo entry - amazing job. Open space can be disorienting in games, but this felt exactly right. Loved the chill music, sounds and also simple effects. A great demonstration that a simple 3D game be a good entry!
May 8 01:21:24 7m 35s Dead End ♥ 1 The motion blur was too beefy for my laptop, but I still enjoyed the game a lot. The atmosphere was really created by the light and ambient music. Really liked that dying did not reset all of my progress. Some more variation in caves would be nice (just graphical flavor like moss/vines/etc, ye know, what Minecraft finally did 😄 )
May 11 23:45:02 94h 23m Pix'in' ♥ 1 Huh, really gave me the super hexagon vibes, but less punishing and with mazes. Liked the graphical effects for sure - they looked very nice. The controls are weird though, I personally couldn't get used to any of the layouts. A very solid entry nonetheless!
May 11 23:55:03 10m 01s Palette's Bottomless Backpack ♥ 2 I usually don't rate jam games, but this sure is an exception. The idea is just great, and just shows to me personally how much more can be done in a jam. I liked everything about this game - the graphics, audio and the mood - an amazing interpretation of the theme. My only problem was that I threw some important items from the table by accident, but that's just my fault. Great job! UPD: Though somehow I was able to get an empty plate without chicken nuggets on a second playthrough - interesting 🤔 But 64% after all
May 12 00:15:05 20m 02s Red Stranding ♥ 3 It's always fun to see semi-multiplayer entries. Great take on the theme too. I personally found that obtaining ladders was too hard. Other than that, I really enjoyed this entry, even though I was unable to get to the end!
May 12 02:15:32 2h 00m Worm Go Down ♥ 1 The game feels very polished - the music, controls, movement - everything. It's simple, yet it really hooked me. I can really see how this can be expanded into a full game where the worm's shape can "mutate" due to different powerups. Speaking of powerups - I did not really understand what that blue orb gave me other than speed. I thought I was invincible at first, but then I got a ton of damage by ramming into the pink octopus thing 🙃
May 13 00:26:18 22h 10m Buried Deep ♥ 0 I liked the physics a lot, and that includes the "throwing the drill" mechanic. Not much else to say on this entry though - for a limited amount of time a very solid job.
May 13 01:19:12 52m 54s Ludophile ♥ 1 Right, and I was confused by 40k files and 130mb game in the beginning. It's great - but I got stuck on the crypt. I am sure I got the 2x code in the correct order, but it just won't open it. Amazing entry, spent so much time exploring this! I also got into the jail when trying to explore by size... You really thought of this huh.
May 13 01:27:10 7m 58s Snoopin Around ♥ 1 I'd have to agree with the above commenters that this truly can be a part of something bigger. I personally just found myself speed-clicking through every possible object and applying items logically. Great title though 👀
May 13 01:40:41 13m 31s Abyss of Heart ♥ 1 Man that single hit sound effect scared me the first time I hit the enemy 😄 I loved the lightning - it always makes a game look great even with simple graphics. Also that troll level with the red pickup got me. Twice. Solid game!
May 13 02:47:26 1h 06m deep bell ♥ 1 I like the simple graphics and the fact that you use gamemaker studio 😄 (still a great engine imo). I liked that with a simple howling sound you were able to make the game eerie - great job there. I did however notice that the browser version of the game started to lag a lot the further down I went, but that's the only concern I have.
May 13 03:00:05 12m 39s DeepTech Industries ♥ 0 Wow, this feels like the lore for the game was inspired by true events huh 🤔 Who would have thought that controlling the rocket can be this hard? Anyway, fun way to spend time for sure. The hitboxes on the server were a little too tight for me - was really upsetting to crash into the server, but not go into the next level. Also, from your previous comment I really like how you implemented the wall collision - great job!
May 13 03:08:06 8m 01s Deeper and deeper in trash ♥ 1 This game hit way too close to home... Thanks for the ability to yeet trash out of the window - that's a really nice touch. I was also wondering "what's up with this music change?" mid-game but then I got it... I can only say that maybe the theme here is a stretch, but otherwise an amazing entry!
May 13 03:14:59 6m 53s DO NOT INSERT INSIDE THE EAR CANAL!!! ♥ 1 **OH YEAH** now this is what I call a good game. The sounds are so simple yet so humorous, same for the idea in general. Great work!
May 14 00:55:17 21h 40m Dungeon Divers ♥ 1 Great entry! The simple choice of graphics was really on point. I also like how it is semi-turn-based game - really had to think quickly at some points. For me personally it was just the right amount of difficulty.
May 14 01:00:56 5m 39s Dig Deep Get Gold ♥ 1 That's a very neat idea with the rhythm game - first time I've seen it here personally. For some reason the audio had a lot of crackling noise (probably just web issue), so I mostly had to time it just visually. Got the highest score of 34. It's pretty simple, but it's a well-executed clean concept.
May 14 01:14:24 13m 28s 20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY ♥ 4 What a great game - the art, the story, the audio/voice, the attention to detail, the jokes. This just screams at me why Jam is an amazing category. Also, the ability to export the playthrough into an image is really great (but I'd like it in a higher resolution). Some of these planets feel like they are coming from the pages of some sci-fi books - it's really great. A fantastic entry 🥳
May 14 01:20:15 5m 51s Squiddies decent ♥ 0 Loved the simplicity and the graphics (for me light mechanics are always fun). As some other people have noted having some audio/music would definitely be a benefit. Also the controls felt very snappy, even though the movement was animated (or did I just imagine this?). Anyway, great job with this entry!
