| Oct 7 21:53:07 | Recycler Shooter | ♥ 0 | I always loved pico8 graphics. Just seems like you can never get it wrong. But I do not think there is anything else to this, which is unfortunate. I hope the next you are not rushed and that the next game is better! | |
| Oct 7 22:05:45 | 12m 38s | Space Anomalies! | ♥ 1 | Hey! Would be amazing if you exported your game into a web version. I really liked the small audio loop. Though it took me some time to really understand what am I controlling and what is my purpose. This was not very clear, and even following your instructions in this post, I did not at first see that my ship was moving. Maybe some more details and/or in-game tutorial would have been better. |
| Oct 7 22:12:34 | 6m 49s | Fakestroids | ♥ 0 | For some reason my spawns were not as high as in the picture. Good to see that it is a web version, but there is definitely a lot could be done to improve it. A small background tune is nice too |
| Oct 7 22:23:17 | 10m 43s | Singularity | ♥ 1 | This is an interesting puzzle game, though I think it is a little long. I like the graphics and visual effects a lot, they are really pretty. The game has some background noise so it does not feel quite, but I cannot say that is something nice, just some noise. Overall I liked the mechanic of joining start - never seen this before |
| Oct 7 22:33:20 | 10m 03s | The Entropy Dilemma | ♥ 0 | Firstly, I do not think that this game falls under the "Compo" rules as several people have worked on it. Also, no one likes installers - I think GM:S2 should have an option for a single-executable file. And HTML5 export as well. Now onto the game itself. The graphics are great. They are really good for this game. But even they seemed broken (eg: the phone part of the game had some glitchy textures and it did not register any of my inputs. I am just supposing that there are interactive elements there). The controls feel very weird because I was unable to jump and then move. Also, the lack of a fullscreen mode is a huge flaw. I also do not see how this ties with a theme. With all this, I can say that fixing bugs and changing some parts of the game would make this a great entry for the "Jam". |
| Oct 7 22:42:34 | 9m 14s | I Am Hobo | ♥ 1 | You know, I am not really a hobo, more of a university student, but I found the concept to be very relatable to me. Amazing graphics, and idea. The lack of music kinda gets me, but it did not seem that important. I love that I was able to play with a dog. A very good entry. |
| Oct 7 22:46:39 | 4m 05s | First there was Nothing | ♥ 0 | The idea and simplicity of the gameplay are great, but as noted above, kind of expected more. I liked that the controls are very intuitive and that the messages are communicated without words. A neat small game! |
| Oct 7 22:53:35 | 6m 56s | UnBright | ♥ 1 | I really liked the dark mood of this game, but I do not really see where the theme comes into play. This is definitely a neat platformer. The music is nice, but having sounds would definitely make it a lot better. For some reason my game lagged out and crashed when I killed the big skull enemy, idk what is a deal with that |
| Oct 7 23:01:31 | 7m 56s | My fateful life | ♥ 2 | Interesting concept. It is very rare that I see visual novels in LD. I love the "stats" bar at the top. Some music would make this even better |
| Oct 7 23:07:18 | 5m 47s | Panic Shift | ♥ 0 | Hey. If possible, having a web version of this would be nice. I really liked the idea and the music. The step-by-steo moving kind of reminded me of "baba is you". I did not really see how this ties with the theme, but I'd say that this is a decent entry overall |
| Oct 7 23:15:44 | 8m 26s | Timed Cave | ♥ 1 | I found the game to be very challenging with the cave entry fee, I just keep running out of money when I try to dig up coal. The graphics are neat, but there is not much to the game. |
| Oct 7 23:20:37 | 4m 53s | Vacuum | ♥ 1 | The game would definitely benefit from some small details like sound and particles. I found it a little challenging to start, since the spawn rates of particles were very low and they flew by wayyyy too fast. This was fun, but it can be improved |
| Oct 7 23:24:06 | 3m 29s | Genesis | ♥ 1 | It is a very neat relaxing game. The music is peaceful and adds to the effect. I found that I was able to place land outside of the planet and that made me giggle. It is a nice game, but seeing more content would be nice |
| Oct 7 23:31:52 | 7m 46s | Vaahtera | ♥ 0 | I felt like the tutorial dragged on a little too long, but otherwise I really enjoyed the game. It was very peaceful and even somewhat meditating. I liked how I was able to look at the smallest details on the tree. Interesting concept overall! |
| Oct 25 02:19:08 | 410h 47m | Seed | ♥ 0 | Outstanding job on sounds and music. This game is definitely unique. I had noticed some weird graphical bug when transitioning between rooms, but it did not affect my overall good feeling about the game. |
| Oct 25 02:22:00 | 2m 52s | Hermitage | ♥ 0 | Very surprised at how short it was, but it was very neat overall. I liked the graphics and pico8 music. |
| Oct 25 02:31:32 | 9m 32s | Oh Dam! | ♥ 0 | Loved this idea. Everything is executed on a very professional level. Though the game did feel a little dragged out, but fun anyway |
| Oct 25 02:38:56 | 7m 24s | itemless | ♥ 0 | Interesting game, but I found myself struggling to find resources to upgrade the tools. The resources just felt way too scattered. Great job |
