Oct 5 02:21:49 Loop Pool ♥ 3 Love the jazzy music. Helps set the vibes I had trouble getting a strong break from the top since my mouse doesn't have a lot of room towards the top of the screen. Very chill experience. Great way to wind down after a 48 hour jam :)
Oct 6 00:12:18 21h 50m SafeHome ♥ 1 Nice screen transitions and character animations. I like how it was subtly hinted that the game was not finished in time.
Oct 6 00:29:26 17m 08s Crypt Loop ♥ 1 Very cool that these are generated procedurally! I wonder how that is done and also if the games are guaranteed to be beat-able. I would assume so, but haven't wrapped my mind around how. It is very rewarding to beat a level, though. I would recommend ramping up to a larger number of rings. Maybe starting with one or two then building up gradually.
Oct 6 00:39:24 9m 58s Hall Of Mirrors ♥ 1 The discovery process of figuring out the rules of this world was very interesting. It doesn't hurt that the graphics are clean either. Only thing is it was just so dang hard. Like the red block was so heavy... I just wonder if there could be a way to transition more gradually to the point where this game started.
Oct 6 00:45:55 6m 31s Ex Aeternum ♥ 1 Nice UX, overall great presentation. I never got to enjoy myst, but I quite enjoyed this little demo.
Oct 6 01:11:34 25m 39s We need to talk ♥ 1 Very interesting use of the medium. It felt like an honest expression and work of art. Plus I enjoyed the card sound effects, and felt like I could relate somewhat... Best of luck with the game dev & life <3
Oct 6 02:57:12 1h 45m Grand Magus ♥ 1 The graphics are what pulled me in to give this a play. Great character design I must say 😄 Each time I played it, I experimented a little more and more with the rewind mechanic, and found all kinds of cool uses for it. There's something so so gratifying about pulling an enemy back in time right into an AoE zone. Also big programming kudos for writing a Mesh Generator script. That's tedious stuff! All in all, very cool how the pieces came together on this one. Cheers! _Update: mages killed: 25_
Oct 6 16:16:31 13h 19m Loop Industries ♥ 1 I quite liked the interface. The way the story was conveyed progressively was nice. As someone who hasn't played any old school FPS alien/portal games, this was a great introductory experience. Really great work on the UX, the menus, the room labels, the readability of the screen were all great design choices. While the systems feel fairly solid, I would try to add a little more feedback to things like taking damage, the portal opening, and the crystals destroying at the end. If someone shoots a glass window in an action movie, you want to see the glass shatter into a million pieces, not just disappear.
Oct 6 23:04:52 6h 48m Ribbon ♥ 2 _None Shall Pass_ lol 😂 so funny. Only feedback is W/S don't really move up/down as the prompt says, instead they steer the ribbon. That took me a moment to grasp. Once I got it though, it was great fun flying around on the ribbon. **highly innovative** and works great with the theme. Highly recommend!
Oct 6 23:54:01 49m 09s League of Ultranormal Detectives ♥ 1 As a film photographer myself, I've wanted to make a game like this for some time now. So I appreciate the process involving the red light, the film, and the developer. I quite enjoyed the voice acting, and had quite a giggle at a couple of lines. Checked out the company website too, looks like you all have your hands in a variety of markets all involving some very cool 3D stuff! Cheers 🍵 PS: that skybox resource is awesome! Thanks for sharing :)
Oct 7 00:30:40 36m 39s Looper ♥ 1 What I like about this is the mathematical driven component. This kind of thing could potentially be a good tool to teach about trigonometry and maybe even shaders.
Oct 7 20:21:09 19h 50m Are We There Yet? ♥ 1 Not exactly a joy ride, but still quite enjoyable :) Pro tip: You have a way better chance of surviving intersections if you actually come to a full stop beforehand! Of course I doubt anyone will actually do this...
Oct 7 22:22:21 2h 01m Loopin' Dungeon ♥ 1 Having never played the original zelda, this was really quite a unique experience. From what I've seen, the graphics are almost spot on and the gameplay quite close. The sfx clearly reminiscent of the style as well. One thing to note is I did have to read the comments to understand the gameplay loop and how there is only one room that grants access to the next. It definitely adds interest and explanation to the theme, but perhaps it could be clarified with some audio cues. At first I thought I was getting unlucky rng or there was only room type. Again once I got it though, I realized there is quite a bit of depth to this with the variety of monsters, levers, and scenery. Cheers! :)
Oct 7 22:41:01 18m 40s Hell Ring ♥ 1 Like doom mixed with nascar. I'm curious about the engine tech used... This is really tough! Oh and the metal music is awesome! Also... Great character design in the enemies, and it made for really solid cover art! Pulled me in for sure. Some suggestions. Balance - enemy # increases slower. Variety - different levels with color schemes / layout, also might be fun to try out some different weapons.
Oct 9 04:47:47 30h 06m Crazy River ♥ 1 I got Moshi's ending - so glad, cuz he's my fav character :)
Oct 10 02:30:07 21h 42m 33 loop ♥ 1 I recommend trying this out http://www.overthetinyhills.com/ It's a similar experience with a very different mood. The feelings I got from this were that of class and simplicity. Sometimes just a touch of interactivity is all you need. Kudos.
Oct 10 12:34:24 10h 04m Speedrunner ♥ 0 Very cool idea! Once I got it, I got it, and loved it. You get the experience of being the frontier, the sacrifice, and of course "the one". Very neat game. Very cool technically too to be able to play by my previous selves... Nicely done.
Oct 11 18:53:55 30h 19m Anybody there? ♥ 1 Inspiring to see folks making their own engines. That raylib stuff looks really powerful. Good find :)
Oct 11 19:06:06 12m 11s Loop of Death ♥ 1 Awesome little arcade game here! While I had tons of fun and actually had to force myself to stop playing, I have a couple of suggestions. Having to bring the mouse back to click restart usually left my mouse obstructing my view. Might be a nice touch to have the cursor be invisible during main game play. And also the moving barriers obstructed the view a bit. Would be sharp to get a fading or dithering / dissolve shader on those so you can see through them if they are close to the camera. Anyway cheers! Will have to come back to this one, and try get a third lap in 🏍
Oct 14 03:33:16 56h 27m Grinding Gears ♥ 1 Like some others have said, great level design. I like how even though there were a few levels, they were very solid. One thing I wished for at times was the ability to rotate a gear in the opposite direction with the Q key, as that would save me some time, which I desperately needed in order to solve that third puzzle! One suggestion on the camera stuff that has not been suggested yet, would be to try point and click navigation. I really enjoy the complexity that comes out of two mechanics really - gear sliding and gear turning. I wonder how many levels can be made on just those two concepts alone...
