Oct 11 13:56:26 Pufferfish Panic : Proliferating Pressure ♥ 2 Love it love it love it love it Screenshot 2020-10-11 145536.png
Oct 11 15:32:17 1h 35m Loopy Particle Simulator ♥ 1 Love it - favourite game of the jam - Could play with this for hours - INSPIRING! I love how abstract it is and yet you really feel like a particle physicist work on the LHC. Well done!
Oct 13 09:52:40 42h 20m Surround Them! ♥ 1 Great stuff - really polished! You make a really interesting point in your comment about controls - it seems there's no right way to do space shooter-style controls! You always get some people preferring one way or the other. I've made games where direction is relative to the ship (turning left/right, acceleration/brake) and games where direction is absolute (up to move to the top of the screen, down to move to the bottom, etc). I think for people more familiar with the theming, a space setting with a 4-way control scheme suggests that you will have a large open space to explore and you will do so with vehicular controls to help you get into the fantasy of being a pilot of a spacecraft. However, because your game is locked to a specific region with a camera that doesn't follow the player and the gameplay feels more action-arcade rather than action-adventure - it makes total sense to use the control scheme you did - the gameplay is more like snake or a twin-stick shooter. Well done - beautiful game, well made!
Oct 13 16:43:20 6h 50m Regguman ♥ 3 I love the art and sound and puzzles and humour - like Duck Game meets Yume Nikki - bonkers!
Oct 14 16:29:46 23h 46m Rocket Factory ♥ 0 Haha great - really hectic but not too overwhelming - smart idea to have the visual indicator of how the time limit to respond to an order is it slowly scrolling to the top of the screen - you could have put a clock on it, but the way you chose is a lot clearer and easier to grasp at a glance. Well done!
Oct 14 16:41:15 11m 29s Wieder ♥ 1 Great atmosphere. Weird. Love it. I think I discovered a bug where you can wave at the arm god in the sky Screenshot 2020-10-14 174009.png
Oct 14 16:46:47 5m 32s Z Rhapsody ♥ 1 Wow very ambitious - really like the weapon impact sounds - super janky but love the aesthetic.
Oct 14 16:53:24 6m 37s Right Side Up ♥ 3 Great, really like exploding the box around the screen in slow-mo - I don't know why the box moves on its own. Doesn't really make sense to me with the theming of an inanimate box - maybe adding conveyor belts would justify the movement a bit more?
Oct 14 16:57:25 4m 01s Danger Castle ♥ 1 Mmmm love me some crispy 8bit sounds
Oct 14 17:06:24 8m 59s Stranger dreams ♥ 1 I am a smart and persistent guy and not many people got as far as me!
Oct 15 09:01:05 15h 54m Once More, Through the Desert ♥ 5 I thought this game was at its best when the gameplay would change slightly to reflect the story - I think that's when this game's concept is at its strongest, otherwise you're just playing a very simple game and reading some little bits of text - if there's some integration there then the experience is much more rich as the gameplay makes you feel the story more and the story helps you understand the gameplay and the elements feel more connected. I applaud the bravery in attempting such an ambitiously high-concept game - it kept me playing all the way to the end.
Oct 15 09:16:58 15m 53s End the Rampage ♥ 0 It's like an autoscrolling level in a Mario game but less irritating because you're not locked into the screen - you can actually lap the advancing wall of death in this - finally freedom!
Oct 15 09:24:18 7m 20s [while'd] ♥ 1 It's all been said before but yeah just go back to the beginning of the current level if you lose, not back to the beginning of the level two levels ago. That feels really punishing. Beautiful game and cute concept - I like the programming theme.
Oct 15 09:57:48 33m 30s Time Bomb ♥ 1 Hilarious concept - the robot is ridiculously ill-suited to its task of ejecting the timebombs, and yet they're the only one there to do it! It's like a house is on fire, but the only one that can save it is the goldfish - flopping around over the phone trying to call the fire department and operate a foam fire extinguisher. I really liked this goofy yet challenging game.
Oct 15 15:24:29 5h 26m Stuck in An Egg ♥ 2 Haha this really made me smile :) I love me a Rube Goldberg machine. I love the ever-expanding loop of stuff the egg had to go through to get onto that train at the end, a real epic journey!
Oct 15 15:54:48 30m 19s Loopy Loco ♥ 1 A sweet setting and theme, but surprisingly adrenaline inducing! Franticly clicking as the train gets closer to cycle through the pieces and OH NO I went past the one I wanted CLICKCLICKCLCKLCKCLCKLKKLKLKL YHES! Okay next piece wait where does this train need to go?! over there, over here, up there okay CLICKCLICKCLICK... I enjoyed it!
Oct 15 16:20:33 25m 45s COLORSPACE ♥ 1 Way more legit-looking than a lot of games I've played so far - very polished and slick and a cool thought-through design idea. One complaint: when platforming sometimes when I was on the coloured blocks I wouldn't be able to jump reliably so I'd just run off the edge without jumping and lose progress and keep having to go back around and start again and fall again. Otherwise, beautiful stuff - liked the little picking up / putting down keys puzzle when you're stuck in the little cupboard area. Very cool.
Oct 15 16:40:14 19m 41s West ♥ 0 I went on my own adventure in the desert - I really wanted to see what was behind those mountains but I did e v e n t u a l l y hit an invisible wall Screenshot 2020-10-15 173425.jpg
