| Oct 10 21:06:28 | Aztec Ride | ♥ 3 | I liked how the game's aesthetic and sound enhanced the mood of the game and gave an Aztec vibe. I also really liked the innovative concept for the core gameplay as it does not really follow conventional gameplay genres. Unfortunately, I felt that the game suffered from a lack of purpose as there was no end goal and I did not feel like I really accomplished much by the time I decided I was finished playing the game before reviewing. P.S. The open source code link does not work. | |
| Oct 11 02:44:52 | 5h 38m | Resurrection | ♥ 0 | I liked the game's soundtracks and how it fit with the general warm mood of the game. I also liked how the simplistic black and white graphics displayed the simple themes of the game. However, I felt that since the game lacked any sense of challenge, there was not much motivation to repeat playing the game again and this is unfortunate considering that the game is supposed to focus on being stuck in a loop. |
| Oct 11 03:07:22 | 22m 30s | WhileLoops | ♥ 1 | I liked how the graphics of the game was designed to give an authentic computer terminal theme as this was great for expressing the mood of the game. I also found the idea of having to deal with multiple popups in a limited amount of time to be pretty challenging as it forced me to make split-second decisions and sacrifices without much forethought. The gameplay was quite adrenaline inducing and fun. However, I did not like the fact that there was no evident way to decrease the CPU temperature. I disliked this because I felt like I did not have much agency to postpone defeat as my skills alone could not stop the CPU temperature increasing indefinitely. P.S. The word "program" in the game is spelled incorrectly. |
| Oct 11 03:27:05 | 19m 43s | LÖÖPS | ♥ 1 | The graphics for the game were decent. I especially appreciated the detailed graphics for the cat at the opening cutscene as well as the graphics for the variety of diverse cats in the gameplay. The music was furthermore pleasant to hear and made playing the game more comfortable. Unfortunately, I found the game to be quite boring. This is because the game lacks in player choice and challenge and the gameplay is too repetitive. |
| Oct 11 21:52:37 | 18h 25m | a Damsel a Day | ♥ 0 | I liked that the game had simple and easy to understand instructions. This made the game accessible for me. I also liked the retro style of the game displayed by the pixel art and the simple soundtracks. I, however, found the game to not really be fun because I felt that there were not many adrenaline-inducing moments. There were not many moments where I barely saved the damsel in the nick of time or was close to saving the damsel. |
| Oct 13 23:42:00 | 49h 49m | GLITCH LOOP | ♥ 0 | The gameplay was fun for me as I found the level design to be quite challenging but not too difficult. Furthermore, I was impressed by the game's polished graphics (especially visual effects) and polished audio. However, the game was not good at explaining how to play. |
| Oct 14 00:13:02 | 31m 02s | LoopChan | ♥ 1 | I liked the challenging level design which really tested my skills. I also found the game's graphics and audio to be very polished and elegant. However, I feel like the game should explain more regarding how to play more than just the controls as I initially experienced some confusion on certain aspects of the gameplay. |
| Oct 14 00:37:20 | 24m 18s | SORO BORO | ♥ 1 | I liked the graphics of the game (especially the visual effects and the screen shake). I liked the moody simple soundtrack and the sound effects were also quite nice. However, this game was frustrating for me. First, I was angrily confused on what the objective of the game was. I was still frustrated with the game after learning what the objective was because I thought it was unfair that death resetted all my progress. |
| Oct 24 19:51:01 | 259h 13m | Beyond Death | ♥ 3 | The 3D graphics of the game were very well done and colorful. The animation was pretty polished. The audio was great especially the music which had a lot of depth to it. I did find the game to be slightly frustrating because I felt that the camera was the biggest obstacle in the game. Furthermore, I did not like repeating large portions of the game when I died. |
| Oct 24 20:24:30 | 33m 29s | Defuse in under 5 | ♥ 0 | I liked the game's innovative mechanics. I found it interesting how the player had to use clues in the level to solve puzzles. I also found the music to be fine and not be disturbing during gameplay. However, I would like the game to be more accessible. It would be preferable if a tutorial was available when starting the game. I also felt that sometimes the graphics for previous clones looked too similar to the current version of the player, which led to me feeling confusion. |
| Oct 24 20:45:31 | 21m 01s | Collateral Damage | ♥ 0 | I liked the game's graphics and how a lot of elements were animated. I also thought that the gameplay was innovative. I liked how the game discouraged spamming the shoot button and instead forced the player to shoot wisely and carefully. Unfortunately, I found the gameplay to be quite boring because I usually do not like games with no end goals. Due to the lack of end goals in this game, there really is not any sense of achievement or gratification I feel when I play the game. |
| Oct 25 04:33:48 | 7h 48m | Danger Beat | ♥ 1 | The graphics of the game were decent. I especially liked the illumination in the game. I also thought that the audio was decent and liked how the screen shake effect made me feel the beat. Unfortunately, I found the gameplay to be quite boring because I usually do not like games with no end goals. Due to the lack of end goals in this game, there really is not any sense of achievement or gratification I feel when I play the game. |
| Oct 25 04:47:30 | 13m 42s | In The Loop | ♥ 1 | The graphics of the game were decent. Although the graphics were quite simple, I liked the simple animations that brought the game to life. I also liked the sound effects in the game, particularly the calming sound that plays when the ball is stuck in a loop. I think this game could be more accessible to players by adding a proper tutorial. When I first started playing, I did not understand the importance of the numbers in the loops. |
| Oct 25 05:02:10 | 14m 40s | Loop Deleter | ♥ 1 | I found the gameplay to be fun. I liked the challenging bite-size puzzles. I also thought that the gameplay was quite unique as I have never played a game like this before. Unfortunately, I disliked the lack of music. The lack of music made playing the game eerily quiet, which made me feel awkward. I also found the graphics to not look polished enough. I especially did not like the fonts used as they were not easy to read. |
| Oct 25 05:17:16 | 15m 06s | Redneck Raceway | ♥ 1 | I liked the graphics of the game. The 3D models were colorful and the camera displayed the scenery beautifully. I also liked the audio of the game. The sound effects were realistic and the voice acting was pretty decent. Unfortunately, I found the gameplay to be quite boring because I usually do not like games with no end goals. Due to the lack of end goals in this game, there really is not any sense of achievement or gratification I feel when I play the game. |
