Dec 5 14:07:19 aberth: simple text based choose your own adventure ♥ 0 Not what I was expecting. Good use of Google forms.
Dec 5 14:11:35 4m 16s The Grassland Kings ♥ 0 Good implementation. I like the art work. Maybe change the animation and have the character hold the sword. Not sure if this is winnable though. I just kept running out of vision and then dying.
Dec 5 14:26:44 15m 09s Volcano Island ♥ 1 Great artwork, and the music fits really well. I kept dying though after 3 sacrifices. Not sure why. I was selecting the right people. The mouse click occasionally didnt respond. Overall a cool little game.
Dec 6 12:15:40 21h 48m Catrifices ♥ 1 Great little game. I'm surprised that this is actually your first ever game. Good job. Everything worked as expected for me, the graphics were great and it was very challenging. The only bit of feedback I have is that on the first couple of playthroughs I expected the guy to pickup the cats faster. So I couldn't save any cats. As soon as I figured it out it all went well.
Dec 6 16:31:41 4h 16m The Curse of the Conquistador ♥ 2 Graphics and sounds are all good and work together well. The character moves fluidly, but the weapon always shoots a little higher than where you aim. I enjoyed playing this, but couldn't get very far. Probably my fault for not understanding what I was supposed to do, but I couldn't get past the knights.
Dec 6 16:39:25 7m 44s Pull Yourself Together ♥ 1 Good little game. I really like the idea of collecting the body parts, which give different abilities. It got a little bit too hard for me though. After dying what felt like 100 times trying to get around some spikes i eventually gave up. Adding the re-spawn near the tricky spikes was a good call though, otherwise i would have given up earlier than i did.
Dec 6 16:45:21 5m 56s Death's Reward ♥ 1 I love the style of this game. The graphics and the style are the most interesting aspects. As for gameplay, I found that every new thing I encountered I died. I understand this is a design decision, but it can get frustrating. Overall a good game for the jam.
Dec 6 16:50:16 4m 55s Ranch of the Gods ♥ 2 Good game that fits well with the theme. I had an issue where all alters wanted a sheep and there were no more sheep.
Dec 6 16:55:18 5m 02s Chopping Block ♥ 1 After I got my head around what I was supposed to do it played well. Challenging but with simple mechanics.
Dec 6 17:03:31 8m 13s Space Goat: Coast to Coast ♥ 1 Great concept. Love the idea of building your ship up and then having to sacrifice pieces in order to continue. Also, i like the humour that you added with this game. Well done.
Dec 6 17:12:38 9m 07s Ursa ♥ 5 Beautiful graphics. The music fit really well too.
Dec 6 17:23:43 11m 05s Vampyre ♥ 1 Great little game with some cool mechanics, which fits really well with the theme. I really like the graphics and sfx too. Good job. And this is the first game I've managed to complete. yay
Dec 6 17:31:16 7m 33s Alien Atonement ♥ 1 Got to love a stickman game. Good implementation, especially with the sacrifice mechanic to gain health. The only complaint I have is that i was using WASD, but these controls don't work when choosing to save or sacrifice a civilian. You have to switch to the arrow keys.
Dec 6 17:36:55 5m 39s Its Just Space ♥ 1 Nice shooter. I think your weapon bar runs out way too fast. I felt i was pressing space an awful lot with nothing happening. I get that its a trade off between avoidance and shooting, but i don't think the balance is quite right. Tweak that and it'll be a really fun game.
Dec 7 17:30:54 23h 53m Ritual Slaughter ♥ 1 Really good effort. I couldn't kill him, no matter what I chose to sacrifice. Maybe its just me being a bit rubbish. I like the way you have the player sacrifice abilities. Ties in perfectly with the theme and has a real impact on the game.
Dec 7 17:53:57 23m 03s Subway Crisis ♥ 1 Great little point and click adventure. I played it twice to see what happened with both decisions. Great graphics. Took me back to the days of playing Monkey Island. The story was also really interesting. You could do so much more with it. If you could add a few more animations it would really finish it off - drinking coffee, or typing on computer for example. There was a little bug when you replayed the game for a second time. You start with everything you had from the previous play. Not sure if that was intended.
Dec 8 12:20:20 18h 26m HELL ♥ 1 Solid shoot 'em up. Probably the best one of these i've played this Ludum Dare. The graphics are great, the game fits the theme, and its not stupidly difficult. Nice array of bad guys and weapons, and the choices you make mean the game plays differently each time. Well done. I enjoyed that :)
Dec 8 16:24:04 4h 03m Trailer Trashed ♥ 0 I enjoyed playing this. Feedback wise i'd say the camera could be a little awkward, and the repeating music wasn't fun. If you could get the people running away so you had to chase them down I think it would add to the experience. On the whole though its a great little game.
Dec 8 16:33:37 9m 33s Save the Yel's! ♥ 1 This looks cool. Our game is also a clone of Lemmings with a twist. Feel free to check ours out. I'll give yours a play now.
Dec 8 20:18:44 3h 45m Altar ♥ 1 Nice graphics, and the sounds really set the scene. I played to the point that I couldn't find any more spiders and all altars I found were full, but there was no indication that I had won. I'd recommend adding a minimap so the player knows where they need to go, also some kind of reward for filling up an alter. Pretty good effort though. Well done.
Dec 8 20:35:07 16m 23s Resist and Persist ♥ 1 Solid shooter. I really like the way that when a planet gets taken over, enemy guns can be placed making it another obstacle. The graphics and sfx are really good and go together well. I'm not the best at twin stick shooters, and I think the smaller enemy ships moving slower would have made it more fun for me. When a wave came in I was swarmed instantly. Although blowing them all up is quite satisfying. I appreciate you mention in the text to avoid the web version, but that was the one I had to play. I had problems reading the text in the instructions. Very blurry. Plus some of it was off the screen. Also you cannot leave the instructions. I had to close the web page and go back in to play the game. It would have been nice to see my ship blow up at the end and some game over text, rather than it immediately going to the menu screen.
Dec 8 20:43:36 8m 29s Space Battle Zero ♥ 1 Excellent game. I've not played the game you referred to in the text, and i've never played a game like this either. It is a very interesting concept and well implemented. The graphics are great, and well done to whoever did the camera work. The only negative feedback I have is to say the glare covers the weaponry selection at the bottom left from time to time and I struggled to see them. It's a very minor thing. I did not defeat the other ship, but will be coming back to try again next time I play through some LD games :)
Dec 9 11:26:12 14h 42m Consilium - A history of life and choices ♥ 1 This game is amazing. I love the minimalist art style. Usually i'd try and come up with some areas that need to be looked at, but to be honest i think this game is extremely solid. A tutorial could maybe be added, or some instructions, but it only takes a couple of seconds to figure it out. Would make a good mobile game. Could have timed runs along with an endless one. Good job.
