| Dec 19 06:50:11 | Behead | ♥ 0 | Man, this is really good. Excellent work. It's tight and simple but very satisfying. I could see this being a full on game. | |
| Dec 19 22:26:53 | 15h 36m | Sacrizism | ♥ 1 | Good game! Nice twin stick, pretty fun. I really like your twist where once you "lose" it's actually a boss battle, so you need to do better to be stronger for it. I didn't manage to beat the boss but I could so it being doable. I was never clear where my health was displayed... is it the bar at the top? |
| Dec 19 22:44:03 | 17m 10s | Sacrifitem | ♥ 1 | Interesting. The instructions in-game are wrong (it says to play and sacrifice both with the LMB) but it plays once I sorted that out. I think that the core concept is neat but the item randomization seemed poorly balanced – we both kept healing up more than damage could be done. |
| Dec 19 22:50:12 | 6m 09s | Fist of Wrath | ♥ 1 | Cool little game! I really like the concept, and I think it's executed decently. Would like if I could do a little more than just click, and having to wait to drop my fist is a little boring – limiting it in some other way might be more fun (maybe the longer you wait, the bigger the AoE, but you can rapid-fire if desired, for example). |
| Dec 19 22:59:16 | 9m 04s | Throw them down | ♥ 1 | Interesting. I wasn't entirely clear on what I was controlling when I did what, or why the balloon went up a lot versus a little... just tried a relatively random combo until I won. |
| Dec 19 23:11:37 | 12m 21s | Way of the Dodo | ♥ 1 | Great little game. The graphics especially shine. I think the game is definitely hampered by poor platforming controls (no doubt could be improved over time), but overall quite a feat. |
| Dec 19 23:15:34 | 3m 57s | Bokeh | ♥ 1 | *Feels* really good. However, I never really figured out how it worked. "Stances" in particular confused me. Instead, I was just trying to match lights as they went by, which seemed right. So I won against my friend but never quite knew why! |
| Dec 20 21:32:08 | 22h 16m | Disorder | ♥ 1 | Well made game, lots of visual polish. I found the gameplay lacking though, because the core interaction wasn't tight enough – the platforming. Didn't really feel in control, didn't have context of where I was going, wasn't sure where to find keys, etc. I was really excited for this! Would love to play a post-compo version. |
| Dec 20 21:37:31 | 5m 23s | Sacrifiskeleton | ♥ 1 | I like the idea, and it works well! Was pretty damn hard to win. :-) Some tighter platforming controls would really help, and maybe the ability to aim bones. I also think some of the guys trailing behind me died? |
| Dec 20 21:40:01 | 2m 30s | Third | ♥ 0 | The game feels really good. Nice polish. Wasn't clear on why a cat would survive one time and die another, and when a new cat might appear. There is a bug where I was offscreen between restarts. |
| Dec 20 21:43:18 | 3m 17s | Sunset Empire | ♥ 1 | Cool idea, nice and simple Galcon-y city management. I had a hard time understanding what was going on... wish there was a way to pause or something so I could try to understand. |
| Dec 20 21:50:07 | 6m 49s | The Goodwill Of Gods | ♥ 1 | Nice playable game. Took me a long time to realize I had to go to the center to make a sacrifice, I had almost given up playing when I finally figured it out. Wish I could just sacrifice by being near the altar, rather than having to press E first, because even 2 button presses is often enough to get hit by the attack. |
| Dec 20 21:59:38 | 9m 31s | Garry's Sacrifice | ♥ 0 | You packed a whole lot in here for 48h. It was a little confusing to play, though I found myself at it for longer than expected. Just having to mash clicks on the monsters to harvest resources over and over took a lot, then I finally killed the cave man and he got back up. |
| Dec 23 04:52:14 | 54h 52m | Zompantli | ♥ 0 | Great game. Good balance, plays well. Wish there was an ending of some kind (is there) and it didn't feel like I could strategize much. Still, very well built. |
| Dec 23 05:04:40 | 12m 26s | Pit of Zavghul | ♥ 1 | Great work fitting a lot into here. The level generation seems solid and the number of items is impressive. I agree with others that once I grabbed the right item (Wizardsteel Axe in this case) the game was super easy. Although, I think I got killed at the very end by a Z-something that maybe one-hitted me? Clicking to attack ended up removing the game over screen each time before I could read it. Also, would be nice to get knocked to 0 one time so I can heal or something, since so many enemies are new all the time. You also get hungry super often. |
| Dec 23 05:19:10 | 14m 30s | One for Another - A tactical combat game | ♥ 0 | Pretty solid game. Lots going on here, including cutscenes. I found the battles a little bit drawn out, mainly because enemies were attacking each time a single one of my guys attacked. Ganging up on an Orc didn't feel that way – one of those almost single-handedly took down two people because he effectively gets 8x as many attacks. I like the sacrifice idea for the abilities, but with so many characters it was unclear the real value of it. So most characters just felt like they were either melee or ranged and that was the only appreciable difference. |
| Dec 23 05:28:43 | 9m 33s | Ascension | ♥ 0 | I won... my fire stopped working and seemed pretty useless anyway (since the range was so short). I was never less than half health. So mostly I was just walking around shooting stuff. Pretty good. |
| Dec 23 05:38:27 | 9m 44s | Ronin Sacrifice: The Tale of the Last Rabbit | ♥ 2 | One of the best games I've played this time. Great mechanic, great polish. Well done. |
| Dec 23 05:45:22 | 6m 55s | Book of Fire | ♥ 1 | This is a really solid entry, if a bit short. I really liked the feeling I had when I saw the spiders in the corner and said to myself, "Hmmm, if I attack them I'll take damage but I could use the healing." Great to create that decision. Could see this mechanic going far if you made a fuller game out of it. |
| Dec 23 23:35:17 | 17h 49m | ANGRY MOUNTAIN GODS | ♥ 0 | Great art, pretty cool game. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy (use those trees!). Solid game. |
| Dec 23 23:44:51 | 9m 34s | Escape The Sacrifice | ♥ 1 | Great little escape room! I won. Has very little to do with the theme but is a strong entry otherwise. SPOILER HINT for the final puzzle: read the clock instructions closely! |
| Dec 23 23:49:54 | 5m 03s | Night of the Clawrm | ♥ 0 | Cute little game! Was fun and overall a good execution of a simple concept. Takes too long to drag the villagers, though. 75% of the time I was playing it was just dragging their bodies. |
| Dec 24 00:03:31 | 13m 37s | Hope springs eternal. | ♥ 1 | From the comments it seems like I was supposed to ram the last station to win. However, since I tried that in the very first level and it caused me to fail, I specifically avoided it. |
| Dec 24 00:07:52 | 4m 21s | A Town of Questionable Morals | ♥ 0 | Good solid entry! Nice work! |
| Dec 24 00:19:40 | 11m 48s | Ring of Sacrifice | ♥ 1 | Really solid entry. Felt like Smash TV where I had to throw my items away. Nice! |
| Dec 27 22:35:34 | 94h 15m | Organic Harvest | ♥ 0 | Excellent work. Very difficult on a trackpad, and I felt I was a little too short on cash generally (forced to sacrifice too may people) because so many people came in with like no organs at all. Never got the bonus items. |
