| Aug 13 12:00:08 | Shrinkage | ♥ 1 | The width (13 width vs 10 in regular Tetris) makes me uncomfortable. It is a deliberate game design decision ? At first I thought the width would change instead of height, which could be an interesting challenge. But it's an interesting way to force combos. The tetrominos are almost immediately locked when they touch the ground, which make placing tetrominos underneath overhangs hard. | |
| Aug 13 17:29:54 | 5h 29m | Dash Brawler | ♥ 2 | I played only the single player mode. Dashing downwards feel good. I didn't feel the lack of space, probably because the game ended too early. It could be a good couch game against a human. I had trouble differentiating characters. When your inputs are based on the physical position of keys, please base your input handling on physical key codes instead of virtual keys if the framework you are using allows it. The inputs are misplaced on non-QWERTY keyboards. |
| Aug 13 20:42:01 | 3h 12m | Ball on keys | ♥ 0 | Interesting concept. Extra hard on non QWERTY keyboard, the game uses characters not physical positions. It would be nice to restart the game without having to close and re-open it. I like the game over sound, it sounds sad but funny sad. |
| Aug 13 21:00:41 | 18m 40s | Crowded | ♥ 1 | It could be fun, but the random spawns are frustrating. You should maybe exclude a certain radius around the player and around where he is heading so you can see them before they kill you. Also the danger bar hides a part of the field. The green blocks are a good way to keep the player moving, and deal with it's inertia to not crash into walls and enemies. |
| Aug 13 21:09:12 | 8m 31s | LD 42 Pong | ♥ 1 | The twist can be interesting : because you lose a point when you are too close, you must minimize your moves. The game is so easy it's boring, the bats are too tall and the ball is too slow. You could have packaged everything in the same archive instead of having to download an exe and a folder separately. |
| Aug 13 21:19:29 | 10m 17s | Indiana Snake and the Room of Doom | ♥ 1 | Interesting twists, and they works well together. Also, I like how a small arena increases your chances to reach the pray. Audio adds a lot to the game, even if it's simple sounds. You could sfxr or something like that to quickly add sounds to your game. |
| Aug 13 22:54:13 | 1h 34m | Defragmentare: Bring Order to Chaos | ♥ 1 | Ah the good old Windows 98 defragmenter. I am mixed between fun, because of having to move things around quickly, and frustrating because of the mouse interaction. Maybe it would help to always show where you want to place the part and highlighting it in red or something when you can't place it here. It took me a little time to figure out how to play. Nice graphics. |
| Aug 14 19:49:38 | 20h 55m | DEFRAG | ♥ 0 | It is more about optimizing your moves and go as fast as possible than really puzzley. The controls feels like Panel de Pon. Without deletions, you just have to tidy up everything at the top. Maybe more deletions would make the game more fun. |
| Aug 14 20:14:05 | 24m 27s | Downscaled | ♥ 1 | The runner itself is easy and very basic, but switching to smaller screens is cool. Graphics and audio are well made. |
| Aug 14 20:33:40 | 19m 35s | Cure Your World | ♥ 1 | The car has no inertia. In theory this makes the game easier but it feels jerky. Have you tried smoothing out the camera ? The difficulty seems to decrease as pills accumulate. The music is insipid and there are no sounds. |
| Aug 14 20:44:40 | 11m 00s | Spaceless | ♥ 0 | It looks like the difficulty is not increasing. Basically is just how long until you get trapped (by avoidable mistakes, even if sometimes it requires tricky jumps). The music loop is too short. |
| Aug 14 21:03:17 | 18m 37s | The Walls | ♥ 0 | The hitboxes are bigger than what I expected. I died several times thinking I would pass. But that's maybe because I played too much danmakus. When the walls are close you can't pass between hazards. Very simple but it works. Decent graphics. The audio part is a bit poor. |
| Aug 14 22:02:05 | 58m 48s | Hexit | ♥ 0 | I don't know how to play. I have tried pressing keys, clicking, drag and drop, nothing happens. |
| Aug 14 22:17:59 | 15m 54s | Running out of Squares | ♥ 1 | Wow! That's a clever puzzle game, not just yet another tetris with a twist! The graphics looks good except for the win/lose text. But sometimes I don't know the size of a next piece is not what I expected. |
| Aug 14 22:30:52 | 12m 53s | Gunventory | ♥ 0 | The difficulty does not increase and it's too easy. But in principle it works. There is no sound. You cannot rotate the pieces so the tetris part is harder, but the clearing system compensates it. I like how different shapes corresponds to different guns and behaves differently. |
| Aug 15 12:26:56 | 13h 56m | The Collapse | ♥ 0 | Graphics are simple but good. The pickups hitboxes are too small. Sometimes your ship go through without picking them. I didn't shot a lot, most of the times I just avoid enemies. That's maybe because you shoot where you are going, and I don't want to crash into enemies. The music is repetitive 'but that short loop fits well with the game mood but you hear mostly sounds so that's not a big deal. |
| Aug 15 12:54:49 | 27m 53s | Stack Overflow | ♥ 0 | The difficulty caps, and that cap is too low. I let me die when the score overflowed. I also played with a Pop'n Music controller. It could be fun but again, it's too easy. But I missed the perfect 32767. |
| Aug 15 14:02:51 | 1h 08m | Cosmic Escape 1999 | ♥ 0 | That's some awesome graphics! However I didn't like the audio. The difficulty is right. I would try different difficulty levels. |
| Aug 15 14:09:25 | 6m 34s | Avoid The Void | ♥ 0 | You have a good base for a die and retry game. This looks like the introductory levels. It reminds me of the lasers in Megaman 2's Quickman stage. Also, audio adds a lot to the game, even if it's just a few minutes spent on sxfr and coding some extra lines. |
| Aug 15 14:20:47 | 11m 22s | Prog-Jet vs Guardians | ♥ 1 | The game is way too slow. This may be fun at higher speed but not in it's current state. A continuous camera rotation would be a great addition. The graphics are good. I didn't hear any sound. |
| Aug 15 14:29:45 | 8m 58s | Dont Drop | ♥ 0 | Did you bypass Unity's input mapping system ? The inputs are always WASD, and the virtual keys WASD, not the physical positions. This makes the game hard to play in non-QWERTY keyboards. |
| Aug 15 14:43:54 | 14m 09s | Aperature XP | ♥ 1 | Too easy. Even at 1337 difficulty. It could be fun if you have to rely on rectangle selections to delete files quickly enough, but you can just click and delete whenever a virus spawns (with regular recycle bin emptying). Bonus point for being able to delete the recycle bin. |
| Aug 15 15:00:22 | 16m 28s | Spatris | ♥ 1 | An autorepeat feature would be nice for fast moves. The speed curve may be too slow. It starts to be challenging around 300 secs. But it's an interesting way to visualize a tetromino selection and drop. I am not fan of the music. |
| Aug 15 15:42:58 | 42m 36s | Action Replay | ♥ 0 | The controls are awkward in non-qwerty keyboards. The game is already hard when you have to think of which key you are currently holding, which one you can release etc... I stopped at the level "Up and down". Expect this keyboard issue, this works great. I had fun trying to beat the levels in the least bytes possibles. The game is very polished. This game merits to be seen my more people. |
| Aug 15 16:13:08 | 30m 10s | Roham! | ♥ 0 | The controls does not work in non-qwerty keyboards. Also, ghosting can happen in certain keyboards. It is necessary to be able to remap the controls. Luckily on my keyboard I am able to do all the diagonals combinations. I got trapped in the edge once when I dashed into it. But I had a lot of fun playing this. 8 way controls does not annoy me, I prefer it over the approximativeness of analog controls, it's precise in a way you can precisely set when it's on and off. |
| Aug 15 16:33:13 | 20m 05s | Bomb Factory | ♥ 1 | Wow I had lots of fun playing this game! Good job! |
| Aug 15 16:49:00 | 15m 47s | Crushing Depths | ♥ 1 | Good risk/reward management, and good difficulty management. It's fun. |
| Aug 15 21:07:30 | 4h 18m | Blinding Caves | ♥ 1 | The level design is well made taking into account the reduced screen space. |
| Aug 26 21:16:31 | 264h 09m | Defragment VR | ♥ 0 | The good: - you had the courage to make a VR game in a 48h jam; - the music; - the graphics; The bad: - when I am standing the FX is at eye level. This is unpleasant. It could face near the player's eyes; - I just made 3 big boxes in 3 corners. This is not very puzzeley; - the merge detection fails sometimes; |
