Best game I've played during this game jam. Controls feel great and I like the simplicity of the design. Not sure if this was intentional, but on the second level the camera zoomed in really far which was a little annoying but other than that great job! 4 / 5.
Great idea, really a smart way to interpret the Theme! You can tell that a lot of thought went in the Level Design too, but what I think you should have thought more is the target you were making the game for. Other Ludum Dare partecipant will play the Game, and not all of us has time to spend on trial and error sessions, as such I would have either implemented a Checkpoint system or I would have considered the trial and error as a bit less harsh. Other than that, really nice!
I really like the trail left by the player, and I think the sepia theme suits the game really well. Awesome job!

I like the graphics, the levels might be a bit to hard in the beginning. Fits the theme in an unexpected way :) well done!

Really fun. First I was thinking the camera part was useless (you can do die and retry), but last level is really hard without..
I have only two remarks: the steps are too fast
camera manipulation is a bit weird (based on the center of the screen, not on the point where you clicked...)
Hi, thanks for the early votes and feedbacks ! About the difficulty of the game I realised a bit too late that it was maybe to hard for a LD game when I got it tested by friends. Hope you'll have the patience to discover all 4 levels anyway ! Thanks again for the comments and compliments !

Good idea, it's a diffcult game but the mechanic is nice (for the control, I think for your type of game it's better to have arrow key, but it's just my opinion). Good job
@s0rax Arrow keys were my first choice when I made the game but with the click&drag mechanic I wanted the player to have the right hand on the mouse so I changed it. But I can understand that one can prefer arrow keys, I should have left the choice I guess. But thanks for the feedback, hope you liked it!

The creators of Mario Bros would be jealous of the controls of this game, it's really amazing! I completed the game but the first enemy was a bit frustrating! Good job and good art! :P
@pinoza Yes, the first level was probably to difficult for a first level. That's always the mistake when you make a game, it's always easier for you so you don't feel how frustrating it can be for a new player... But thanks for the feedback :)

Cool simple visuals, tight controls too!

Fits the theme in a very creative way, it could have a little more assets and levels, but i understand you only had 48 hours.

I loved the art and music. However it's really difficult for a first level. Anyway Good Job! Would be great if you make the first level a little bit simpler after judding ends. I haven't got to go through this:

This game was pretty cool! I like how the theme was implemented, like you're running out of space that you can see
Really cool game. I think the player moves and jumps to quick though as it makes it very hard to control. I just keep dying. I finally did pass the point @gmaker got stuck at, but then died at the next part.
Nice job!

This is one of the best games i have played during this jam so far, it is also one of the hardest games i have played so far, however i did manage to complete it. Your interpretation of the theme is great, with the camera getting closer every level. The art style - being almost GameBoy esk - fits with the game perfectly. The music is great, but after about 5 minutes of playing it began to hurt my head, resulting in me having to turn it very down for the final level. Overall i loved the game, and the camera moving towards the mouse, allowing you to look ahead is very cleaver (if intended). Bravo.
@gmaker You should go on a tiny platform and wait for the skull to be far from the spike and then you can jump over them and continue. I'm a bit frustrated because lots of you didn't manage to pass the first level, and it's only after the first level that the link with the theme becomes clear... A good lesson for me! I'll make an easier game for the next jam ^^
@player-2 Thanks for the compliments! I'm very glad you finished it even if it was a little too difficult for a jam game! And sorry for the music haha!

A really smart interpretation of the theme!! The first skull is soo frustrating >:( I really like the art style, you've choosed really nice colors!
One of my favourite compo games so far great job! i like the aesthetic and the idea to decrease visibility i think a vignette that increases in intensity would be better than zooming in on the character. A way of fighting back against lack of visibility would also add another dimension to the game
Really cool game man, on the last level i think i died 30 times LOL, I've finished your game and didn't even know that there was an way to move the camera. Good job anyway :) 2018-08-15 02_40_47-Blinding Caves _ ldjam.com.png
Loved your take on the theme. I really liked the idea of moving the camera to look ahead. Also, the art style is very good. However, I do feel that it was a bit difficult. Overall, great job!

Well, this is absolutely amazing game :) The difficultness is exactly as I like it, what isn't common in LD games, because they are always too easy =D So good job, this is a masterpiece

I was confused at first as to why you need to move the camera lol. cool interpretation of the the theme and the platforming is pretty simple but fun.
The level design is well made taking into account the reduced screen space.
Amazing game ;)
