| Apr 29 16:36:53 | Think Hockey | ♥ 0 | Cool game! It took a while to get used to it, but I liked a lot that all attacks depend on where the player is facing. Nice touch! | |
| Apr 29 16:47:22 | 10m 29s | SKYWOOOD PIER | ♥ 1 | Hi! Great game, music and overall mood is really nice. I'n not sure I followed the story behind it but I definitely enjoyed the sense of danger it triggers on you and the need to go forward. Maybe if we had to take dificult choices on each path and the game reflected on it would have been awesome, but then again, I might be missing the original point :D. Nice work! |
| Apr 29 16:52:58 | 5m 36s | Fuel Race | ♥ 1 | Cool game! I never thought I'd be building stuff in an endless runner! Nice idea for the theme, it felt natural despite being two vastly different game genres. A nicer tune might improve it but the mood stayed where it had to be: I felt the tension when it got faster and bars kept filling. Great work! |
| Apr 29 16:59:59 | 7m 01s | Puzzle Gun | ♥ 1 | Fun game! Sounds like Gears of War mixed with Doom and a children toy :D I really liked the enemies and music, although I would have liked some graphics when bullets impact any foe, but overall it definitely looked good. However, wow, it is really difficult and demanding xD |
| Apr 29 17:08:15 | 8m 16s | Line'em up | ♥ 3 | Even though I cannot vote you for that: you picked a nice song there! I really liked the game! It fuses both genres quite perfectly, and it felt just right playing through it (until I got killed often :D) I would just have liked that the pull movement arrow would be reversed, so I can differentiate pull and push better. Nevertheless, quite a strong game for, at the very least, theme rankings! Congrats! |
| Apr 29 17:17:45 | 9m 30s | FAST CRASH | ♥ 2 | Graphics were awesome! The look and feel is really polished, even the song is quite relaxing. I didn't want to shoow any money at the beginning and kept failing, but at the end I got most questions right, somehow. *Feels like a lawyer* Crazy laws these ones you still have around! xD |
| Apr 29 17:30:16 | 12m 31s | Guerrilla Gardening | ♥ 1 | Yes! I got it to the end! I must admit I first thought I only had to take care of the plants in the middle. Actually, when I died, the second time no-one came, so it was kind of easy. Then I saw there were way more places to take care and everything clicked in my mind, and soon after, it was done :D. Incredibly beautiful game, I really like how being a rather simple and clean pixel art you got it nicely charming for the eyes. Good effects, animations and even music. Excellent work! EDIT: I forgot! You even carefully chose the itch.io colors! Impressive! |
| Apr 29 17:37:56 | 7m 40s | Shuffle Climber | ♥ 1 | Fun game! It feels like one of the deckbuilding board games I like. Maybe the beginning is quite difficult, since it seem completely random, and some adjustments would have helped to reach further until you learn. However, it is a really clever idea and I enjoyed it a lot. Good work! |
| Apr 29 17:47:02 | 9m 06s | Baseball Nightmare | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I enjoyed the music and the look of enemies. I would have just liked a bit more of responsiveness of the bat, at times I'm not sure if cooldown is locking the attack yet or not. Besides that, the animation is cool, as well as the scenery. Good work. |
| Apr 29 17:52:08 | 5m 06s | Flappy Soccer | ♥ 2 | Sounds and the startup screen could use some work, but gosh what a great idea! I really liked it! At first I thought it was enough with getting past goals, but soon I lost the ball and failed :D Great game and idea! Keep it up! |
| Apr 29 18:25:50 | 33m 42s | F.I.S.T.S (FIRST PERSON IDLE CLICKER SHOOTER HORROR TOWER DEFENCE SURVIVAL) | ♥ 1 | Definitely the game I've played the longest in the entire Jam. At first I had some problems in some rounds, and zombies kept really close. Then I found out there's more than just the "Gun" menu. Gosh what a discovery, grenades, health, I just overpowered myself and the game was way easier from then on. Thanks for the auto-reload feature, a lot! But zombies started to keep improving too... although not that much. Grenades are way too powerful and cheap :D Eventually the game froze at some point :( There was a zombie left which simply stopped moving and I couldn't shoot it either. Grenades couldn't hit it, so I guess that was the endgame for me. Let's call it the Super Zombie xD About the game itself: incredibly great and enjoyable. Graphics are really cool, minecraftesque, but it has too much bloom. Heck, I've just been under eye surgery a week ago and have flares but this was definitely not the case ! xD. Sound is good and feedback and bullet/gun animation is great. Excellent work with the upgrades and the difficulty curve (except grenades, at least up until I played) EDIT: Sorry, I just played the original version without further reading, so you may ignore the bloom and the round 33 problem :) |
| Apr 29 18:55:58 | 30m 08s | Crescendo | ♥ 1 | Excellent game. The idea is flawless, although the first level is somewhat unforgiving, since the player needs to learn a lot at once. (First lesson: don't crush your head into the wall xD) If you update it, try to add simpler levels at the beginning, and keep the user iterating with a new concept each time. The feeling of progression will be greater and you'll add gameplay along the line, which is also good for you. By the way, not sure if it's a problem of mine alone, but I kept failing because right SHIFT key didn't work, only the left one. Is that normal? It's not my keyboard, else there'd be no caps at all in this message :D Despite that minor problem, I really enjoyed your game. Graphics and music are simple enough to work perfectly, and the player movements are quite precise. Keep it up! |
| Apr 29 19:58:05 | 1h 02m | Rhythm and Cruise | ♥ 1 | Great game! I must admit that being a Pico8 game this might have been double the effort. Congrats on that! The game is quite interesting, and although it doesn't seem like the rhythm of keys is perfect, it works nicely and it's a bold mix. Excellent work! |
| May 1 11:54:18 | 39h 56m | Scarecrow's Night | ♥ 0 | Wow, that was tense. I got killed the first time really fast, but then I learnt to be more careful and survived quite a long time and finally made it! Thanks to the instructions panel being visible from where the light is, I was able to find the initial spawn point, else I'd still be horribly lost :D Excellent work with the atmosphere. Graphics and sounds could be polished but you managed to create a nice experience out of fairly normal farm elements. Great! |
| May 1 12:49:03 | 54m 45s | Cropper | ♥ 1 | Great game! It's quite addicting, and the powerups at first are really cool to keep production rising automatically. Problem is, mechanics don't change beyond crop+auto+boost, so just waiting for the next crop type to show is not engaging enough. Nevertheless, graphics are really nice, sound is ok (I just miss a bit of music, and maybe different sounds per crop type), and it is an enjoyable experience. Good work! |
| May 1 12:59:14 | 10m 11s | Neon Space | ♥ 1 | Extremelly nice game. It goes straight to the point: mixing both genres and making it look completely natural. Graphics are enjoyable and sounds are ok, although I miss some music. I like how each power up is unique in this new setup, and strategy is key. The only drawback is that enemy turn takes a second where your input is ignored, so the controls feel unresponsive for a moment. I would have preferred something closer to Lufia II, where your movement and the enemy one are done at the same time. I assume you programmed their decisions depending on the input of the player not its previous movement. Nevertheless, it's a really polished and interesting game I really liked. Good work! |
| May 1 14:11:09 | 1h 11m | Unojo temple | ♥ 1 | Interesting game, I like how it gets a bit more difficult with time, I barely made it. Nice visuals, graphics are quite cool, I just missed some animations for the enemies and the player. Maybe some visual hint before the laser appears would help as well. Music helped get the rhythm of it all. Good work! |
| May 1 14:18:47 | 7m 38s | Point & Shoot | ♥ 1 | Short but extremelly interesting experience. I never thought these two genres could be mixed in this way :D Nice humor and situations. Maybe with some time you could deliver more content and explore the idea with puzzles and the like. I really enjoyed it, nice work! |
| May 1 14:25:38 | 6m 51s | A Puzzling Combination | ♥ 1 | Cool game! Graphics and animations are adorable and really alive, I like them. Game mechanic is great but I guess it can be expanded with more time of development. Nice work! |
| May 1 14:38:57 | 13m 19s | Harvest Hook | ♥ 2 | Nice game! The grappling hook mechanic is quite interesting. Although I had some problems at first to get used to it, it's quite fun to try and grab anything on the planet. Beautiful graphics and excellent music, the mix of both perfectly suits the mood. Keep it up! |
| May 1 14:49:53 | 10m 56s | Tetra Dungeon | ♥ 1 | Haahahaha we thought of the same idea! Although reversed! You embed Zelda into Tetris, I put Tetris into Zelda! :D Nice game! It's quite hard but the idea is awesome. Music can be improved but I really liked the dungeon, player and enemies graphics (UI looks weird, though). You did quite an interesting combination: it respects the rules of tetris while allowing some exploration. Heck, we even control both at the same time! Nice work! |
| May 1 18:55:15 | 4h 05m | Tiny Crusader | ♥ 0 | Great game! It is fun and responsive, and reminds me a lot of both Lemmings and older games with destructive levels. As always with Pico8 games: graphics are really cool and interesting. About sounds, it is correct but I'd appreciate some music, a simple one at least. Nevertheless, doing a pico8 game in a jam is double the effort, so congrats. Nice work! |
| May 1 20:01:17 | 1h 06m | Super Billiard Chalk | ♥ 1 | Cool game! It's quite an interesting mix, I liked how different enemies and balls reacted to each other. You did well in creating many levels, but it is hard to understand at first which is the requirement to pass the level along with the physics of each object (this can be mastered just testing). I would have appreciated some background music and different sounds, but overall it is a good game with a neat idea that I enjoyed playing. Congrats! |
| May 1 20:13:33 | 12m 16s | STEREOtype | ♥ 1 | Surprising game! As I'm not a native english speaker it was kind of difficult to me to get adapted to it, but it is an enjoyable experience and quite an interesting mix of genres. I would have appreciated some adapted visuals of which word is highlighted, because jumping from one word to the next one is kind of hard (you see next one below but UI moves it up a bit later). Maybe allowing the user to retry words would be nice, like "resetting" the current one when failed, or similar, and then, later, iterating later on difficulty adding with modes and so on. Nevertheless, I really liked it, it's quite innovative. Congrats! |
| May 1 20:21:24 | 7m 51s | Grid Gunner | ♥ 4 | Extremelly creative and engaging game! Dodging so many bullets in a turn based basis is quite rewarding. It is somewhat difficult at first to get the movements right but when you get used to it it's great. Music keeps the rhythm and mood, and graphics are cool and effective. Nice work! Especially at your age! :) |
| May 1 20:28:03 | 6m 39s | Deep space - cards battle | ♥ 1 | Nice game, it might need a big of work to polish it, but the idea of using cards as powers is interesting. If you update it in the future, try to improve the ship movement so that it doesn't accellerate that much and it will feel way more responsive. Congrats on finishing the game! |
| May 1 20:40:42 | 12m 39s | The Magical Caster Card Gun | ♥ 0 | Nice idea! I liked how finishing each level rewards you with cards to fill your deck. It's interesting to test each weapon carefully so you don't use explosives at the wrong time, and deciding which one to take to each level makes the experience better. Good work! |
| May 2 20:37:58 | 23h 57m | Nanashi | ♥ 1 | Great game! Playing the improved version with easy mode seems like the right way to go, at least for me: it feels more balanced and lets you adapt to the controls. My congratulations on the graphics and the music, they set the mood quite properly. I just miss some sounds for bullets and maybe explosions or similar, when enemies and yourself receive a hit. Nevertheless I was captivated for how similar it is to the pirating stages of Nier Automata, while utterly surprised with the "Arkanoid" mixup in two of the stages. Nice work! |
