| Apr 26 04:09:57 | ยถCity | ♥ 1 | Very nice! I played for a bit and built a bunch of buildings. For me I'm really bad at typing, so sometimes I would need to retype things over and over to get it right. It would be nice if there was an up key to go to previous typed phrase or something like that to make things go a bit faster. I wish time could be counted in steps taken or so since you can get so far away and still have to make it back to the royal garden to wait (since a garden you still need to save up for and a ranch also costs money). I also made a map on paper to keep track of where I was haha. Talking to the farmer was a nice moment. Good work! | |
| Apr 26 04:16:23 | 6m 26s | The Call of Cthulhu - Puzzle Edition | ♥ 0 | Very interesting idea! The font could be a bit easier to read, and no undo or restart makes it pretty hard to play without refreshing a whole bunch, but would like to see the idea in a more polished state. good work! |
| Apr 26 04:21:32 | 5m 09s | Joyful Cute Pals | ♥ 1 | Some jams it's good to just get something out - keep up the good work! I liked the art. |
| Apr 26 04:50:04 | 28m 32s | Heck Deck | ♥ 1 | very nice! I was able to beat it after a couple tries. Good balancing with getting hurt and collecting the cards. I'm glad I was able to be very precise with the movement. Good job! |
| Apr 26 04:59:17 | 9m 13s | Zap Herder | ♥ 1 | The randomness of the lightning is pretty funny with the snake mechanic. All the score heuristics were nice. Here's my high score: zap-herder.png |
| Apr 26 05:08:49 | 9m 32s | OUTLAW ๐ MAYOR ๐๐ PANIC! | ♥ 1 | very cool 3d effect. I would usually get stuck on edges when turning and sometimes the cops would spawn kill me, but it's a nice package with city buildings and polish. The music is really funny too :). My high score was 600. |
| Apr 26 05:20:05 | 11m 16s | Strategysphere | ♥ 1 | Nice that you were able to build it out. I think the dice rolls could be faster, and I didn't know wasd and arrow keys both worked for movement (I was pressing s to shoot but then would move down (but then realized shooting would be automatic)). It does feel a bit weighted towards the enemy player. I liked the ship explosions. keep up the good work! |
| Apr 26 05:32:35 | 12m 30s | Salty Scuttle | ♥ 2 | Very hard, but cute crab! I couldn't figure out a good way to get moving consistently forward, but it was fun to mess with for a while. nice job! |
| Apr 26 05:47:34 | 14m 59s | Nightclub Showdown | ♥ 0 | Very nice. I liked the moment when there's no crates and you can figure out how to get out of the scenario since it's turned based. It feels like fast paced decision making. great job! |
| May 3 04:15:52 | 166h 28m | Shootanoid | ♥ 1 | I died 15 times but was able to beat it! I liked how the bricks did callbacks to other games with the level design. I think it was a good combination of mechanics, there was some strategy in making sure where you shot the balls. One thing I did figure out was to keep shooting and usually I could keep the balls stuck within the space, so that worked well for any level where the bricks were all on one side. I liked the particle explosions for the bricks and the player. Nice job! |
| May 3 05:00:59 | 45m 07s | Sherpa Tetris | ♥ 0 | Played for a while, wasn't able to beat it though. Interesting combination of mechanics. I think if you were able to get more of the tetris mechanic in there it would changes things up more and offer the player more strategy, like being able to rotate blocks. For climbing currently, you sort of just hope for the blocks that are 3 across because usually they have the resources that are easiest to get to. The 2x2 block is not bad either but you have to climb up 3 steps before you can get to the resource if there is any. The 4 across block is probably the worst because it prevents you from climbing up and covers almost half the board, so you sort of just hope you can put it away from the climber. Keep up the good work! |
| May 3 05:20:16 | 19m 17s | Kiss all the ladies | ♥ 0 | Dunno if I liked the story, but had some interesting ideas with the mechanics. Some notes about the platforming: -Getting stuck on the walls feels pretty strange. -not being able to jump when touching/leaning against a wall is also strange -Overall movement could be more snappy- there's a lot of drag going back and forth -The jumping feels a bit floaty - I guess this helps with the placement of blocks though. Keep up the good work! |
| May 3 05:28:06 | 7m 50s | Beatcraft | ♥ 0 | I liked the mechanics! After figuring out the beat I was able to win. I think the music could be more driving or have a louder drum beat to make things more obvious. I could see faster songs for more levels/difficulty. It would be nice to see feedback knowing that you got something right, like how there was flashing when you got something wrong, but more positive reinforcement. The ships animating around were nice. Keep up the good work! |
| May 3 05:37:49 | 9m 43s | Rockin' Horse | ♥ 1 | Nice 3d art and very nice that you got a racing course in! I thought I would just have to keep the beat and it would make me race better, but you can just press forward and go so I guess it's more for going faster. I liked that there was feedback when I was getting it on the beat, but would've been nice to see a timeline or something to know where the beats where and how I was doing on that end. I'm sort of imagining a race rhythm game now where the racing or the course would be tied to the music, but that level of integration is probably out of scope for a weekend. I got around 2:07 for a finish time. Keep up the good work! |
| May 3 05:51:27 | 13m 38s | Dedicated User Defined Entity (D.U.D.E.) | ♥ 1 | nice art! I liked the character and the card art. The platforming was okay, maybe a bit precise, but I wish I could have restarted from the beginning of each level to see what was next. I liked how if I knew the level though I could stack some cards to run it through faster, but if I didn't know it I would just choose one card and take more time seeing what was next. Good job! |
| May 3 06:06:57 | 15m 30s | Between Dimensions | ♥ 1 | Nice polish on the 2d platforming and the first person view! The 2d camera eye is pretty funny. I think I reached the end because there were no more platforms, but I wasn't sure. Overall platforming was much harder in the 3d camera though I guess that may have been the point. I liked how there were hidden areas you could only see in the 3d mode and were blocked in 2d mode. Otherwise the dash helped a lot. I did run into a bug where if I dashed at the start of the game I would get stuck and not be able to move, but otherwise had fun. Nice job! |
| May 5 21:39:03 | 63h 32m | A Tavern Life | ♥ 1 | Had to play through a couple times to get what was going on, but nice looking game. I thought I had to click on the sprites to give them beer, but I figured out it was automatic based on how many servers you had. There were some balance issues that you may have heard about already - earning enough money was hard and repairing chairs were very expensive. I also was confused where I could pay my waitress (I guess you have to buy one each time instead). Overall though good atmosphere, keep up the good work! |
| May 14 01:43:06 | 196h 04m | Rose-Coloured Dungeon Life | ♥ 1 | Nice art! I think the game is probably too hard without the extra health mode. The moment you get close to someone with a sword they will hit you, and they do enough damage to kill you before you can do damage to them, so it doesn't feel very possible without the extra health. I liked some of the choices in the game, but did not like the writing. Perhaps just a reflection of tropes that already exist, but they are not very good tropes to begin with for character development. |
| May 14 01:50:20 | 7m 14s | Guerrilla Gardening | ♥ 1 | Very nice! It has nice fx with walking and shooting. It did take me a bit to understand it was water (had to look at instructions again), but was able to water all the strawberries. The red of strawberries against all the grey is a nice touch. I was a bit confused on the progress of growth - I guess the bar was just how much water they had? Anyway good job, keep up the good work! |
| May 14 02:08:07 | 17m 47s | Barbarian Invasion | ♥ 1 | Really impressive how you were able to build out the systems in the game! It feels like I can survive if I build out the town well enough. The learning curve takes a bit, but after understanding which building is which resource it was much easier to figure out what was going on. Keep up the good work! |
| May 14 02:33:35 | 25m 28s | The Chamber | ♥ 1 | I see the portal reference. Got the ai talking and got the fake out ending? I played with the pipes for a while and was able to get a white, black, yellow, blue, and green pipe, but not sure if there's anything to do there. Some tips would be nice! The computer voice worked very well I think. Keep up the good work! |
| May 14 02:51:46 | 18m 11s | Idle Research Clicker | ♥ 0 | Interesting use of renpy! I did run into a few bugs/crashes, but was able to get to the book with holes in it. I think rapid clicking or clicking on the bulletin could cause weird behavior, but the first time I was able to get the weird popups before it crashed. The 2nd time I was able to get to the end with ""I must share this...: but I didn't take any notes? Could be cool to see it with the bugs ironed out. Keep up the good work! |
| May 14 03:04:32 | 12m 46s | Exilium | ♥ 0 | interesting! Unfortunately I would have to stop if the key combo was ASE because my keyboard I think however it works can't detect those three keys at once. I like the keyboard as an input device though! The art was very nice as well. It did run a bit slower, but I have an 2year oldish laptop so shrug. Keep up the good work! |
