| Dec 4 12:47:39 | Touched | ♥ 1 | A really interesting concept and a great first entry for Ludum Dare! Loved the art, music and the mechanics. The levels are very, very hard though. I couldn't make it past the first checkpoint on the first level. All in all, a good entry - kudos! | |
| Dec 5 12:38:11 | 23h 50m | A Week of Chicken | ♥ 0 | A cool little game, super simple concept. The whole cycle and gradual increase in wolves was a good mechanic to work with, but I found the wolves a little easy to beat. The art style and music you did very well on though. Kudos on a cool game! |
| Dec 5 13:10:10 | 31m 59s | Temples of Purgatory | ♥ 1 | This is a great game! Kind of anticlimactic when you reach the end of the game, but it was a challenge. Reminds me of the games I used to play as a really young kid. I think one thing that would have made it even better for me personally, was if there was some footsteps when the player moves. Would have completed the atmosphere. But kudos, great job on a great game! |
| Dec 5 15:13:30 | 2h 03m | Craskiing | ♥ 1 | Awesome game, great execution of a really solid concept. Highly addictive and heaps of fun! Great job! |
| Dec 5 15:22:23 | 8m 53s | Infectious Void | ♥ 1 | Really interesting mechanic and your art and audio is great! Bit of a short experience but the polish on it is awesome. Although I did die right next to the health potion at one point, and when I pressed space to respawn I ended up drinking the potion and continuing haha :P Kudos on a great job! |
| Dec 5 15:37:03 | 14m 40s | Late Night Chef | ♥ 2 | Interesting game, cool concept. I got stuck on the second level when the customers started asking for meat pattys served on the frypan? Couldn't figure out how to serve it to them. Anyway a nicely polished game, and quite challenging too for such a simple concept. Great execution, good job! |
| Dec 6 05:06:30 | 13h 29m | BoatAfloat | ♥ 1 | A nice simple concept, quite relaxing. I feel like the lighting needs some slight changes, seems a bit bright at some angles. And would be cool to see an improved water shader as well. But for what is is, you have done very well. Kudos on a great game! |
| Dec 6 05:23:06 | 16m 36s | Party Maker | ♥ 1 | Interesting concept for a game, quite difficult. Soundtrack and animations are bang on haha, epic work. Kudos on a great game! |
| Dec 6 05:38:02 | 14m 56s | Robotic Sports | ♥ 1 | I really liked this game, a really simple concept that executes really well. The only improvement I would say you could make is to make it a bit more challenging, the enemy robot didn't hit me a single time in 2 games. Kudos on an amazing entry! |
| Dec 6 05:52:21 | 14m 19s | Subtraum | ♥ 1 | So the concept for this game is really cool, but I think the execution of creating the game could have been done a lot better. The player controls are way too sensitive, both the maximum movement speed and the mouse sensitivity are way too high. You can actually just fly around the map and avoid everything as a result of this. It also feels weird that the player can walk up straight walls, and the turrets only aiming along 2 axis (so if you're above them they can't hit you). I also feel like there should have been a way to destroy the turrets. Also the pickups are not obvious and can be quite hard to see. Lastly it's a bit disappointing to see you have used an asset store model without mentioning it on your entry page or opting out of the graphics voting category. A bit of a strange decision if you ask me as well because the zombie model doesn't match the models and art you actually did create. So all in all, the concept is a good one but the development could have been greatly improved. |
| Dec 6 06:03:30 | 11m 09s | Untouched | ♥ 0 | This was a nice little experience, and a good concept - I can see where you were planning on going with this. I can't really think of much else this game would need aside from what you have listed at the top of this page. Nice entry! |
| Dec 6 06:29:33 | 26m 03s | Assembly Line | ♥ 1 | Looks good, sounds good, but couldn't figure out what to do and as a result I couldn't get past wave 1. |
| Dec 6 06:35:07 | 5m 34s | SNEK | ♥ 0 | Really cool concept, I actually had a similar idea when I was brainstorming concepts at the start of the jam. You've executed the concept really well, the only issue I had was when the controls get all funky from part of your body getting stuck on a rock. Other than that I think a music track would have added a lot to the mood of the game. But kudos on a great entry none the less! |
| Dec 6 06:41:21 | 6m 14s | Chitin Conquest | ♥ 1 | A simple concept, a few bugs here and there. I found the mouse controls to be pretty bad though, I think it's just the movement animation that makes it feel so bad. Aiming with the mouse and shift button also causes clipping at the edges of the map. But kudos on a cool entry. |
| Dec 6 06:55:55 | 14m 34s | Elden | ♥ 3 | Really cool you've made another game like this but it suffers from a lot of the flaws your LD39 entry suffered from. First of all the lighting was really poor, so it was hard to tell where the edges of the levels were. Secondly, starting the game in a narrow hallway with enemies both in front and behind you makes it frustrating to start out because sometimes they'll leap straight onto you before you even have a chance to try and get past them. Thirdly an ammo counter should definitely be included in this game because it's annoying as hell to run out of ammo and have to run all the way back to respawn without being able to shoot - having an ammo counter would allow the player to plan their route back to the ammo cave ahead of time. And fourth there are some random ramps in this level that seem to serve no purpose, as you can't really move up them because them cut your speed right down. The ramps also render from one side only, so there were quite a few times where I got stuck running into something even though it appeared as if nothing was in front of me. And lastly I had the same issue with the sound as I had for your entry in LD39, so the audio wasn't working for me. But nice job making another game like this, it definitely stands out from the crowd! |
| Dec 6 07:00:48 | 4m 53s | Skillshot Arena | ♥ 0 | Nice entry! Though even at max sensitivity, the mouse is not sensitive enough. |
| Dec 6 07:05:58 | 5m 10s | Potdemon | ♥ 1 | Still waiting to play this game :D Publish your itch page! |
| Dec 6 07:07:03 | 1m 05s | Runner's Time | ♥ 1 | I think you need to finish publishing the page on itch, it might just be a draft or private right now because the link doesn't work. |
| Dec 6 09:20:13 | 2h 13m | For Better or For Worse | ♥ 1 | An incredibly beautiful game, and very polished. Playing this game was a great experience for me, the story was very well thought out. Kudos! |
| Dec 6 09:30:55 | 10m 42s | Gold Taxi | ♥ 1 | Nice game! A few thoughts I had, a minimap would be nice or some sort of UI indicator to pinpoint where the drop off point is so that you can plan your route accordingly. Audio would have added a lot more to this game, even if it was just some simple driving sounds and gold pickup sounds (and some music). Some sort of collider on the camera to prevent clipping through the level models as well would be a nice bit of polish. The only issue I encountered was when I finished the first game and clicked reset, the level would reset and I could still click the reset button but I am pretty sure the timescale was not reset to 1 so I couldn't actually keep playing. Nice game though, kudos on a job well done! |
| Dec 6 09:36:39 | 5m 44s | Pub Crawler | ♥ 1 | The art and music was great, but I found this game to be a bit lacking and I was expecting a bit more based on the screenshots and description. There should be some sort of lose condition that's based on how much damage you do, how much you anger the locals, or how often you run into walls etc. But not a bad entry, nice job! |
| Dec 6 09:49:06 | 12m 27s | Shoot and Die | ♥ 1 | Really cool concept for a game, a bit more polish and a few more mechanics and this would be super solid. I found myself getting addicted to this game, although it was kind of easy. Nice job though! |
| Dec 6 09:59:27 | 10m 21s | Wired Network | ♥ 0 | Awesome work, for real! This is an excellent game, love the shaders and the overall art style. Feels pretty polished but I did experience a few bugs. I love that there is two modes you can play in as well. Kudos! |
| Dec 6 10:26:09 | 26m 42s | D_Sync | ♥ 1 | This is a really fun game! Didn't really need to use the time mechanic often, but when I did it was very tricky to master. Your graphics are really nice, and the music is so catchy! Awesome work, kudos! |
| Dec 6 10:44:27 | 18m 18s | Drgn | ♥ 0 | Great game, quite challenging as well! Nailed the graphic and the music, awesome work! |
| Dec 6 10:53:54 | 9m 27s | Go-Ned Re-education | ♥ 1 | Hahaha the context of this game is so good :P Actually turned out to be way more challenging than I had anticipated, I didn't manage to beat the game until my third try! Awesome job! |
| Dec 6 11:02:27 | 8m 33s | Dunkirk the Aftermath | ♥ 0 | The graphics and audio was great, managed to create a good atmosphere for the game. Unfortunately mechanically I found it to be unintuitive and a bit boring. Namely I am not even sure what the purpose of having a weapon is. Granted I made it straight to the shore without taking a single hit on my first attempt, but when when I tried to load 6 passengers onto my boat I was way heavier than the boat could actually handle and I couldn't move. Somehow I managed to hit the trigger again, thought I might be able to lower the amount of people on my boat but it ended up just adding a bunch more people somehow. Cool concept for a game, presented really well, and a ww2 thing is quite different than most games entered into Ludum Dare. But mechanically just did not work for me. |
| Dec 6 11:24:08 | 21m 41s | Rogue Intelligence | ♥ 3 | So there's a few cool things about this game, but it suffers from some pretty big design flaws. On my first run through I managed to get myself trapped in an area that required the phys gun to leave (I had the energy gun). The puzzles aren't really hard, what makes them hard is that it is not clear at all where your puzzle triggers are. I spent most of my time looking around to try and find platforms, but it was clear what they all did. The energy gun feels pretty much pointless, as it's only used in the first 15 seconds of the game. But the biggest deal for me was the level design and game flow, it does not cater to the player at all. Also it's not clear at all how the theme plays into your game without reading the description of the page, which is probably not so much of a good thing. It feels like movement is just taken from you out of no where otherwise. Good job on the entry, the voice over work and the art was pretty cool. All in all though I think there is a lot that needs to be fixed. |
| Dec 6 11:42:09 | 18m 01s | Rot 24/7 | ♥ 1 | Great idea for a game! The whole style was really really good, nice job on the graphics! After 4 attempts I still wasn't hugely clear on the effects of all the items, but I get the direction you were going for. Kudos! |
| Dec 6 14:48:33 | 3h 06m | Enter The Labyrinth: 36 Chambers | ♥ 0 | Interesting concept for a game! I have to agree with @ehnne that the popping sounds were actually a bit intense in the end although they did add a bit to the atmosphere. And I also agree that an in-game map would be a great addition to this game. Nice entry though! Kudos! |
| Dec 6 14:59:10 | 10m 37s | BOOTY LOOTER! | ♥ 1 | Hahaha this was a crackup of a game! Excellent job! The audio was absolutely hilarious. Game came across as very polished as well. Kudos! |
| Dec 6 16:55:41 | 1h 56m | Mage : Arena | ♥ 1 | Awesome game, it's got a really quake-y vibe to it. Love it! SFX and music would have been icing on the cake, but kudos on an otherwise amazing entry! |
