Dec 6 10:45:12 Cotton Mayhem ♥ 3 At some point I found killing sheep more fun. Nice animation. And the slaughterhouse). However it would be better to get Restart button at the "death screen", not repeat Tutorial (and make it shorter, 3 screens at least), and camera controls seemed not user friendly enough.
Dec 6 10:52:42 7m 30s Super Economy Twins ♥ 2 Collected all the coins in order to get this game worse at me. Nope, it's just the ending. Which is neat but very simple idea. Would be nice if coin collecting had an instant impact on the game's difficulty. And some fun items along the road. And you need the sound! Man, sometimes the sound does it all...
Dec 6 11:03:52 11m 10s I'm not here ♥ 1 Fun sounds. Guards more likely to abuse the guy than to just catch). Puzzling and manipulative stuff.
Dec 6 11:11:56 8m 04s Sänka Viking - A Viking Warship Simulator ♥ 1 Yeah, fun! Love pirate-ish stuff. However the fun is over, when you sink the ship. At some point, you understand, you got the treasure, but some firearms shooting and ship crew shouting "Hooraay!" would highly reward the winner. Nice mechanics and jolly shooting anyway.
Dec 6 11:22:26 10m 30s Aatmo ♥ 1 Interesting art. Nice idea for a side quest. The moral choice is not that complicated. But I liked the narrative behind the game, good pseudo-mythological concept. Dunno why I remembered now how they mocked the Chosen thing in Bard's tale, just dunno).
Dec 6 11:35:48 13m 22s Librood ♥ 0 Big story behind, Lovecraftian chills. Good touch, I believe, would be to add the books' titles, not just the summaries of what she grasped. And through those titles tell more about her story, her disease. Also, things appearing not just from the wardrobe, should be thriller-fun and creepy. Overall gasping idea, great graphics and sound design.
Dec 6 11:46:37 10m 49s Greed Weighs you Down ♥ 0 Saucy). Somehow reminded of Pink Panther. However, busted because alarm had no sound.
Dec 6 11:53:39 7m 02s Lord Covington's Cup ♥ 1 Eccentric voice, hah! Does the deal, but might be better with subtitles and ability to skip it. And the goblets, sometimes it seems they just break by themselves.
Dec 6 12:01:55 8m 16s Beer O' Clock ♥ 1 Maaan, thay's some quality Irish beer game! And that sound shrimps inside your ears the more you're wasted. But hey, why would so many guys want to fight ye? Did the beardy man belch o'er their breakfast eggs?! Reminded of a sketch by WKUK "the drunken antics of Clarence McKenah", but in a faster hardcore way.
Dec 6 12:13:02 11m 07s The Grand Mewdapest Hotel ♥ 2 Interesting setting, but gets a bit boring closer to Christmas. Was lacking cats' meowing and all the other sounds (especially when the hero screams and loses sanity). Also could've tried little encounters, like the mouse hunt, some kitty-celebrity checked in, etc. Overall, fun and purry.
Dec 11 17:32:45 125h 19m Coins of rage ♥ 1 Woah! Hardcore! This game is more about the theme than the game itself. Seems fun at the beginning, then just makes you bang head at the wall.
Dec 11 17:46:11 13m 26s Saving Crying Bryan ♥ 0 Tried to collect the poo. Wish items could be used to distract the guards, or like make a poo-slide for the fatty. Music, to my taste, is too fast for stealth action (which is the point, I get). Funny voices, but mixed feelings overall. Actually, I thought the guards sight area actually is showing how they fart! Which is fun: don't let the guards bust-fart you.
Dec 11 17:57:05 10m 54s Dungeon Boy! ♥ 0 First I stopped at the Main screen and listened to the music. All of it. Then started playing, and the same music was there again. Maybe I'm used to in-game music being different from the Titles, but was anxious for the change. Second track is a better fit for dungeon crawling anyway. But the graphics is cool, and the bombs. However sometimes it's hard to understand if you actually hit or just clicking.
Dec 11 18:25:26 28m 21s Risky Robbery ♥ 1 Cool game. But when I just got the clue how to unlock the safe, something went wrong with the pattern. Would love to hear more sound-work. Overall very enjoyable. Why did the hero fall asleep, and how come there's a helicopter waiting for him anyway?
Dec 25 06:49:15 324h 23m A Hero's Burden ♥ 1 Good show! Nice voice disguise (the FX). Since it's the jam game, I can see that most of the work was put into the visuals. But it's cool that the game is mostly narrative, and is a very solid base (even a prototype) for some next big thing. Also understand why you couldn't make more music (time!), which is obviously needed for different locations, as well as to end the game with Hero's seppuku or something. But, finally, that's the game with it's story and actual ending! Thank you for the jam.
Dec 25 06:57:14 7m 59s Secret of Poop ♥ 1 But wait, what was the secret? This game needs flavors! Fallout-ish boy surviving in the living poo-sewers. Hey, if the music was a bit Arcanum-like, this would just be rock-crazy!
Dec 25 07:02:28 5m 14s Neon Hell ♥ 1 Very engaging! Love the theme and the visuals. The controls aren't the best, but still the image is eye-pleasing. Would be cool, if some back story's attached.
Dec 25 07:10:44 8m 16s Grooblins! ♥ 0 Nasty funny piece of work! Narrative but lovely, and totally ready for like-Japanese market. Many cameos, nice. I was thinking of a darker ending, but nice jam, thanks!
Dec 25 07:33:41 22m 57s The Terry Pebble Show - An Awful Day Time TV Simulator ♥ 1 Okay, this interactive show is good. Reminds a bit of the Mighty Boosh mixed with those TV talk shows with different hosts. Nice voice acting and wit dialogues. And those naughty pixel eyes moving...
Dec 25 07:48:08 14m 27s A Boy and His Card ♥ 0 Seems got it. Not much difference in what you buy, it's more about penalties. Is there an end to the journey, or it's generated until you're tired? Anyway, really liked to buy things, especially spontaneously, when loosing. Don't do this in real life. Cute satire!
Dec 25 07:57:03 8m 55s ESCAPE KEY ♥ 1 Wicked. Makes your mind work, which is nice. However soon it gets very confusing, since this game becomes more of a challenge than fun. Which is actually the theme. Thanks for interesting idea and experience!
Dec 27 15:00:15 55h 03m Big Pockets ♥ 0 Wished this game be more humorous. Sometimes it's really worse having those items. The picture is engaging, making an expectation for some real spy act.
Dec 27 17:11:25 2h 11m A Walk To The Finish Line ♥ 1 Digged the logics. But the music and the atmosphere is not enough. Would love some back story also, but hell, it's narrative designer speaking. Apart from all the moody stuff, really enjoyed the game. Cheers!
Dec 27 17:15:46 4m 21s Torcher ♥ 1 There's a concept, which can be developed. Hard to play, yet. But somehow tells the story. Or is it just my mind? Almost got the narrative.
Dec 27 17:28:35 12m 49s Magic tet-wood! ♥ 0 Well, at some point my teacher at Saint-Pete's told me, man, you can't just give the story to the presentation made with split screen, 'cause it's way too hard, and even if the theme is 'kill me' at some point (the more story, the worse), we're still trying to make something playable, aren't we? Maybe, if you reversed the controls and made, like, tetris with arrows (as it is) and decisions with numbers... and then put the option of changing if you're right or left-handed, it seems... Apart from me being not able to enjoy the whole experience and listen to whatever happened to that girl, the game was fun. But the concept, being promising, needs much improvement.
Dec 28 12:32:10 19h 03m A Platformer for Ants ♥ 0 Not for the ants, but for the men with glasses! Challenging and very... eye-driven. Mostly fun with interesting twists and constant fearing that it's going to be smaller. I wonder, if the game continues, if it ever shrinks, what would become with the gameplay... Cool, thanks for the jam!
Dec 28 12:48:25 16m 15s Samurai Shaver ♥ 1 Man, this is awesome. As the fan of beats and the Jap-Chinese culture, that raw tribalism that makes the game is just gasping. And the idea is so shave_me_down_me_pants cute. Very balanced collaboration of art and music!
Dec 28 12:59:04 10m 39s OverHeist ♥ 1 Guitar loop gets annoying soon. So, I just feel the game lacks atmosphere, but the puzzle part is interesting, and the animation is fun (those crab-like thieves, hah).
Dec 28 13:04:44 5m 40s Wired Network ♥ 0 The style is cool. Wires, everybody, more wires! Had some issues with jumping, though. I think, this really needs some neon-wire sound, or ambient soundscape to polish the mood.
Dec 28 13:14:30 9m 46s Jazzy Beats ♥ 2 Cool concept, there's so many ideas to develop there further. Really loved the trumpet (E) sound combining with the main theme. It's no very hard to get the winning tactics, but the game itself is very good and original.
Dec 28 13:32:18 17m 48s Running With Scissors ♥ 2 Funny concept! A puzzle with scissors with some mild-deviation towards children which is totally fine for GameDev. And the squawking manager is like a host to the show with opening credits saying, like, "this is a true story". Overall moody with some black humour behind the concept, but nice game for the glitched kinds like mine. Thanks.
