Aug 1 02:35:48 Power Tower ♥ 1 Made it to 26 before I finally missed a platform.
Aug 1 02:38:34 2m 46s Achluophobia ♥ 1 Hey, not sure if you're aware. I'm getting a 404 on the itch.io page.
Aug 2 04:51:36 26h 13m ZapDune ♥ 1 I had no idea the main thing was on my side. I was trying to attack it but ended up leaving all of my crystals to get destroy. @porkeh I'm under the impression that if you grab batteries you can revive dead crystals. Didn't do me any good though. 213 was my personal best. :D
Aug 4 00:52:58 44h 01m The Political Juggle ♥ 1 "Get outta here!" - I made it all the way to 1970 and forgot to note my score. :(
Aug 4 01:04:44 11m 46s BATTLE BOIS ♥ 0 Oooh! I didn't think it'd be possible to make a Pikmin style game during Ludum Dare. You've proven me wrong. I had a little trouble figuring out what to do, mainly because I didn't realize pressing "1" was how I got a Boi. From there they seemed to get creamed every time I sent them into combat. I stuck with it, but I'm going to have to come back and play it a bit later. :D
Aug 5 07:17:02 30h 12m Blood Mechs: The Iron Eucharist ♥ 1 WOW! That was extremely awesome! I love this game! Once I realized that you can rotate the upper body independently of the what the legs are doing, I started strafing to take down enemies. Unfortunately I ended up walking right into a trap of 3 enemies and I died.
Aug 6 00:07:48 16h 50m Torch Boy ♥ 1 Seemed so easy but was so difficult. This game was really fun and I wish it were longer.
Aug 6 17:40:11 17h 32m You Can't Handle the Tentacles ♥ 0 Okay! I finally got a chance to print it out and play it. (took photos because I used counters instead of cutting out those little bits of paper). First initial reaction to finishing the game was that it ended too fast. I think I misread a rule or two because first round the Monster got an attack boost. That didn't give me enough time to generate and deploy troops before it busted various buildings. Once that happened I felt like I was playing catch up against an impossible foe. I have a few questions about rules and flow. When I deploy to the battlefield, are those units only for rerolls? If so I feel as though they're better suited to sit somewhere where I can spend them for more dice in the future. R&D seemed really really expensive. With my only generating 4 units a turn having to spend on Armory and then upgrades with R&D only for one event card to wipe out everything seemed hard. Are they all multiple use? (Like I can basically spam the Big 'Ol Nuke until running out of power. If the creature has 4 successful attacks, all of them land on one building that has 1 troop on there. Do I get 1 chance to block or 4? It may seem ridiculous, but that was the only way I was able to save my buildings once repaired. Most importantly, are you going to continue to work on this? I'd really like to keep up to date with it. :)
Aug 7 06:18:45 12h 38m The Nuclear Age ♥ 0 My biggest complaint is that there is no explanation of the rules. It lead to frustration and me eventually getting stuck on level 5. I think everything(as mentioned above) would've been solved with a tutorial.
Aug 7 06:50:46 32m 01s Your Friend Is Lost In The Woods ♥ 2 If @elmismopancho didn't say there was an ending I was ready to give up on this game. We spent entirely too much time on this game, I refused to let it beat me once I knew it was actually winable. AWESOME job!
Aug 12 20:14:55 133h 24m Step out of the light ♥ 1 Oooh, I really loved this entry. I had trouble figuring out if the lights going out meant I was going to lose or something, so I would take a few steps... push... run back to the light switch... repeat. Wasn't until the very last level that I found out, the robot simply won't push things if there isn't enough energy. I loved the jokes that are heard throughout. A little thing like voice acting takes a game a long way in my heart. It certainly made solving the puzzles a lot more entertaining.
Aug 13 16:58:18 20h 43m Brittle Power ♥ 0 Okay, here are somethings that I got during multiple plays of your game. Sorry, if they sound harsh, I was going for more instructional than criticism. And I'm hoping it doesn't sound insulting. Unfortunately, I couldn't get pass the second wave. I had an issue where even though I could afford something, buying it resulted in a game over. Having to jump back and forth between turrets to turn them on and off to save power lead to me not having as much fun as I should've been.I tried playing about 6 or 7 times before getting frustrated and finally just closing the window. (Playing again after reading the instructions) Now... upon actually reading the instructions this has potential to be a really awesome concept with some play balancing(as mentioned above). The last time I just played I managed to get to level 4. Building a bunch of power generators and two turrets got me through to roughly level 4. Some of the block placement makes wind turbines useless. I know you're going for power management, but I'd suggest that there needs to be multiple ways to get power. I wasn't in any situation where I could even halfway afford the tower without putting myself in serious danger, so I'm really curious to see what that does. Going to keep trying and hopefully get to that point. (I understand this is a compo entry but hear me out on this) Sound effects would've made this entry a lot less frustrating. Having a heart beat-esque sound like Space Invaders would've made it a lot easier to realize something along the lines of "Hey, it's going really fast, I'm draining faster than I'm producing" Quick notes A restart button: I placed a Electro-Taser-Cannon Hybrid down in the wrong spot and realized I was going to lose. I refresh the window. Then did it again by accident. Instructions somewhere else: I tend to put mine within my pause screen (Doesn't work to well for me), but having it hidden on the title screen is something that has never worked for me. Start with something: I think things may flow better if you integrate a tutorial that starts you off with something and tells you to remove it or turn it off. Noting that this is a important part of the game play. Power Save: Not quite sure what that was for. It lead to a lot more button clicking for me. Great job, keep at it! I think you can turn this into a really fun experience with more polish.
Aug 13 20:17:11 3h 18m LED Adventure -- Running out of Power ♥ 1 I had no clue you could shoot in the game. It seemed only necessary for the final boss. I had to redownload the game today and play again, this time I won! I wanted to leave some notes, but it seems like you're building a newer version now. I'd love to play that when it's ready.
Aug 14 05:45:15 9h 28m Manual Mech ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this game. I never got off of level 1 but I really enjoyed it. I couldn't figure out how to predict where I was going to land with jumps so I always ended up wasting a ton of energy trying to figure out where I should land. I got stuck once I got to the drill area and eventually gave up. But I really enjoyed this game. :D
Aug 15 03:25:47 21h 40m Giuseppe's Kidnapping ♥ 1 Okay, I downloaded this game not knowing what to expect. As the screen started to fade I got wide eyed and smiley. This is one of the most clever(if not the most clever) I've played this Dare. I didn't finish but I'm going to keep at this thing until I conquer it. :D
Aug 22 01:32:03 166h 06m Captain Lettuce ♥ 1 I was jamming to that music. I thought I was going to have a lot of fun beating up dudes, but I found that fighting was always my worse option. Sprinting around trying to do things and using up my power seemed best. I wish there were a way to get get more so swarmed with enemies (as well as a way to heal). Gameplay notes. The pressing the button to charge should drain the key as well. Accidentally tapping it and using it right away is a bummer. A way to heal(If that isn't in the game, I suck so I didn't get far). That could allow for larger levels and less frustrations when enemies get free hits off of you. Hold a key to attack harder(or charge super attack kind of thing). That would allow me to use or waste energy for an attack and feel like I have a better balance of how I want to play the level. I'm not a big fan of stealth games but I felt like that was my only option. Cool game!
Aug 22 02:05:14 33m 11s Photon Phury ♥ 0 I couldn't figure out how to kill the robot. Is there a way to win?
