Dec 6 07:17:01 The more high level the engine, the worse it gets ♥ 1 I'd love to see you revisit this concept in an environment you're comfortable with. I'm curious how it would've played in the end. Unity is a monster to learn at first. I found that I had to do several small non-game jam projects before being able to output the type of games I do now. I'd say stick with it, if you're really willing to learn. On top of that sometimes you have to throw away the old concepts that you learned to start over again. That's one of the hardest lessons with Unity.
Dec 6 07:32:05 15m 04s Need more coffee ♥ 1 I'm with @flerokoo on this... This is my life. I really like this game. I couldn't finish it, going from 3 to 4 just infuriated me, but the game is awesome regardless.
Dec 8 23:27:31 63h 55m Goblins 2 Go ♥ 1 I really love this game. I've played it entirely too long. :D
Dec 9 03:36:17 4h 08m Holiday Parking Panic! ♥ 0 Frustrating in the best possible way!
Dec 10 19:53:45 40h 17m Sugarplum Summit ♥ 1 I enjoyed the game quite a bit. I got all the way to the end and was like... Cool! I can take one more hit before I die... this boss is gonna be a cinch. Ready ladies? Uh... Fairies? WTF!? So I played the exact opposite way the second time and I beat the boss. Very cool game, I love the way you used the theme.
Dec 11 04:48:11 8h 54m Deckest Dungeon ♥ 2 The one thing that would've completely made this game for me, one button that dumps all of your cards (Enemy gets a free hit) and I get 5 new ones. Instead I found myself dealing 0 damage over and over again because the cards just weren't coming up for me.
Dec 12 02:47:01 21h 58m Virus Detected ♥ 2 I very much so enjoy the general concept, but I didn't have a goal that was clear to me. I ended up wandering around not bothering to revive anyone until I had 100 health (Which causes the letters HP to disappear ;) ) I made it to around 3,000 points and 110+ Hit Points before I kind of figured the game wasn't going to end. Slight suggestion, as the player gains more and more hit points the enemies should become more aggressive. I could easily dodge a group of enemies by using them to block and push each other, then quickly shoot and kill them all before they could change directions. This is great work, I hope to see you all in future Ludum Dares.
Dec 15 02:30:26 71h 43m Cardhoard ♥ 1 So simple, yet soooo fun!
Dec 16 17:38:20 39h 07m The weighty island ♥ 1 I played the entire thing from beginning to end. I did enjoy the concept as well as a lot of the execution, and I have a few suggestions for moving forward, that I've learned from past Ludum Dares. Having a visual representation of your next goal somewhere reminds the player what the need to do next. The player said "I should go talk to that guy." If I missed that message for whatever reason, there's no way to bring it back (If there is I missed it) I don't think the car controls work for this type of game. Granted there were no threats coming at me, but doing a 180 to go in the opposite direction was annoying. Text representation of how much weight is in each item. I never quite figured out how much each thing weighed, I just dropped all my tools and filled my inventory up with stuff and crawled back to the guy. @frederikja163 I'm not sure if this is your first game or not, good job.
Dec 16 19:22:13 1h 43m Tiny Empires ♥ 1 Played the game, went to leave feedback, but it seems every issue I had was addressed in the above comments. So, I'll make a few suggestions (that I don't believe I saw above) if you're possibly looking for more work to do. ;) Some things need to have a reoccurring cost. I can build one castle, and just keep moving new sets of troops across the board to sit on any city. The castle keeps making them so, why bother building more than 5? Sell towns, banks, cities, etc... Get back a fraction of the price you paid, but hey hey, you shouldn't have built there. I accidentally confused castles with cities one too many times, lost out on some good real estate. Troop lost. 4 vs 3 enemies always wins hands down. But, I never have to replenish the first set of troops that were made. At the end of a 4 vs 3 battle, the 4 is now down to 3. This way I can't have have a slow growing wall of troops moving outward as I build. I have a lot more (because I really love this game)... but I'm not going to just flood you with "You know what you should do!?" Great job on this game.
Dec 18 04:33:16 33h 11m Save The Kids! ♥ 0 Good times. I managed to last until 164 seconds... then it got too much. Great job on your first game jam.
Dec 21 03:57:24 71h 24m Spring Clean – DO NOT CROSS ♥ 0 Had a blast playing this one. It was so adorable. I'm glad I could pickup the cats, if I couldn't do that, I think I'd still be on level 1. :D
