| Aug 1 08:42:01 | Powered By Coal | ♥ 2 | Brilliant game! I had a lot of fun trying to balance my resources. I thought the tutorial was well done and the user interface was easy to understand. I managed to win on my first try! I must be a natural at this game 😆. The visuals were great and the writing was funny. This game would be good with more complex levels, but I know that would have been impossible in the short amount of time you had to make it in. Overall it was a fun game with good visuals, sound and humour. Well done! Also, I may have broken the credits... sorry. | |
| Aug 1 08:58:31 | 16m 30s | No Sorcerer's Sky | ♥ 5 | After playing this game for a while now, I still don't know what I'm supposed to do. I think I have to collect the bits of scraps to make resources to build parts of the ship but it's not clear. A tutorial or a simple explanation of how parts of the game worked would have been nice. A menu that shows the amount of each resource I had would also be nice. I don't understand what each part of the ship does. I managed to build the hanger but had no idea what the numbers meant. Each time I played my ship blew up because it was running low on energy. The game looks like it could be fun, but I can't tell if I don't know how to play. Maybe add a description of how to play on this page would help a lot. The audio and visuals were nice though. |
| Aug 1 09:24:04 | 25m 33s | Dissipate | ♥ 0 | I managed to play this game with my brother, and it was quite enjoyable. The levels were quite easy but I liked the co-op elements. It seemed quite easy to get stuck on corners though which made the movement feel a bit sluggish. The game also crashed when loading level 7, but our progress saved and we were able to complete the game. Some of the challenges like blocking the fans with a crate could be bypassed by just moving through the fan stream quickly, which may not have been your intention. Overall, good game, but more challenging elements to the levels would have been nice. Good job! |
| Aug 1 09:45:24 | 21m 20s | Zephyria Planum | ♥ 0 | I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do, I just tried going through as many hoops as I could. I didn't know what the meters on either side of the screen were supposed to represent either. They were also very hard to see since they were mostly transparent. I didn't know the controls but I worked out how to move, and pressing space gave me a small boost, but I'm not sure if there were any more controls. I enjoyed gliding however, but sometimes it seemed the game would pull me towards the ground even though I thought I had a good speed. I liked the look of the game, but I think a "how to play" screen would have helped. |
| Aug 1 10:12:23 | 26m 59s | T.A.G. Reborn | ♥ 1 | This a fun game with challenging levels and good art design. I really liked the lighting, animations and sounds. My only issue is sometimes when I pressed the jump key, the character didn't seem to respond resulting in me falling to my death, but maybe it was just me pressing jump too late. This is a great entry. Well done! |
| Aug 1 10:37:18 | 24m 55s | LudumsWitch | ♥ 3 | This was a fun game, and I enjoyed the theme of it. The music and graphics were good, and I liked the various names given to the goblins. I noticed sometimes the character would get stuck attacking with his sword, even though I had stopped pressing the button. Apart from that I didn't notice any major bugs. The game play was a bit repetitive, maybe more varied enemy types would have made it more enjoyable. Overall, it's a good entry! |
| Aug 1 11:16:19 | 39m 01s | Gradient Descent | ♥ 2 | A very good experience. The visuals and music are stunning and the mood of the game is great. It's not necessarily a fun game, but it is still a great game. I liked the different choices one can make along the way, but I didn't really understand the ending. I really liked the stats at the end to show how similar you are to other players. Great Job! |
| Aug 1 11:27:47 | 11m 28s | AI; ace intelligence | ♥ 1 | Once I understood what to do, this game was very fun. I played it on hard mode, and wiped out the humans in 28 turns. I don't normally enjoy these kinds of games but I liked this one. Good job! |
| Aug 1 11:56:34 | 28m 47s | Zombies 'n Kebabs | ♥ 1 | I liked the pixel art and the music in this game. The game was very hard, I ran out of energy quickly and so there was nothing I could do to defend myself against the enemies. It took me a while to work out how to jump between portals. Interesting game. Good job! |
| Aug 1 18:40:32 | 6h 43m | Cyberg | ♥ 2 | A very hard game, I didn't make to the boss battle. At higher speeds it seems impossible to jump over the enemies because it goes too fast. I didn't understand the point of the rewind function either. The graphics are alright and the music is good. |
| Aug 2 07:57:07 | 13h 16m | Escape from Power | ♥ 0 | I played this one solo, but I still had fun! I made it to the end, I like how the difficulty increased the further I progressed. The variety in enemies was nice, although I only came across one purple ring once and I didn't notice a difference in behaviour between it and the gold ring. The first download link worked fine for me, but the itch.io link doesn't work correctly; it brings me to a 404 page not found error. I imagine this game would be more fun with a second player. Well Done! |
| Aug 2 08:17:37 | 20m 30s | Achluophobia | ♥ 3 | I like the idea of this game. The way the flashlight works is really well done. It would have been nice to have more to explore and maybe a vertical element to the game like platforms to jump on. I enjoyed the music and the art, and the concept of the game was good, I just think more variety instead of having to stay around the same charger would have been nice. Good job! |
| Aug 2 09:03:43 | 46m 06s | SolarPower | ♥ 1 | I like this game. It has interesting gravity mechanics. It is challenging but fun. I really like the lighting effects. I think some audio would make this game better, even if it's some background ambient noise. Well Done! |
| Aug 2 09:30:00 | 26m 17s | BLACKOUT | ♥ 1 | This was a very fun game, with challenging jumping puzzles. I liked the music and graphics. I felt that the variety of levels was good, which kept playing the game fresh. I was expecting more zombies, but only came across four whilst playing, but the other obstacles were just as fun. The tutorial level was well made and very informative. Well done! |
| Aug 3 08:30:36 | 23h 00m | Archetype - Running Out of Power | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea for a game. I played solo but I imagine it's more fun on co-op. The puzzles are interesting and I liked the music too. The characters seemed to get stuck occasionally even though they had line of sight of a power source. I sometimes would have to push them with the other character to get them unstuck. I couldn't get past the second level when the drawbridge lowered. I couldn't see a way to get onto it as the characters don't jump high enough and the bridge doesn't come down all the way. I probably missed something obvious though. It is a fun game, and I like how you've made it work for solo players as well. Good job! |
| Aug 3 08:45:19 | 14m 43s | Airship Engineer | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I thought the whole idea of the game was rather funny, and I liked the audio and graphics. I found it very hard to keep the airship running on time without killing everyone on board! The instructions were good, but the font was quite hard to read. This was a funny and enjoyable game. Well done! |
| Aug 3 09:08:46 | 23m 27s | ROOP: The Ship in Danger | ♥ 2 | The concept of this game was intriguing but unfortunately I couldn't get very far into it without getting stuck. Sometimes a door would close behind me when the power went out so I'd be stuck in a room, or the E button wouldn't work sometimes when trying to pick up the crowbar or open a door. I liked the feeling of the game, being trapped on a ship running low on power and having to manage the energy levels of each component, however I could never get very far into it. Maybe a little more explanation in the game would have helped. Good job though! |
| Aug 3 09:29:04 | 20m 18s | Lights Out | ♥ 0 | Fun game. I managed to last 100 seconds. The game play was decent and I enjoyed the backgrounds, with the TARDIS and Death Star floating past. I also liked how the screen would fade to black and the music would get quieter as the power ran out. Sometimes there would be periods of time where I couldn't see where the batteries spawned because they spawned off screen. I also found the ceiling annoying when it would stop me from jumping onto the highest platforms. Good game! |
| Aug 3 09:50:21 | 21m 17s | The Power of Hove | ♥ 0 | I like this game a lot. The platforming mechanics are great, and I like the way you select levels from the map. The power cells are nice too. I wish there was a way to see how much more plutonium there was left to collect. After I got the mid-air jump upgrade I wasn't show how many more I had to collect. The lack of a restart function is annoying, but the rest of the game is great. I liked the visuals, audio and the back to the future theme. Good job! |
| Aug 3 09:59:49 | 9m 28s | Battery Boy | ♥ 1 | A fun game, with plenty of content. The controls felt good and I liked how the characters speed dropped as the power ran out. However, in some levels I would collect every battery as soon as they fell but the power would drop at a faster rate than what the batteries would fill up so it was impossible to stay alive. Also the music got quite annoying, I ended up muting the game. Good job! |
| Aug 3 10:27:09 | 27m 20s | You're Winding Me Up Harvey | ♥ 1 | Brilliant game! I really enjoyed the puzzles. Some were quite clever and challenging. I managed to reach Harvey's heart and had a lot of fun along the way. The only level I didn't like so much was the one with the jump boost thing, because if I missed the platform it was a long walk back. All the other levels I enjoyed a lot. Good job! |
| Aug 3 10:44:36 | 17m 27s | Final Flight | ♥ 2 | Interesting game, I was a little confused at first but got the hang of things quickly. The voice overs were good, although the robot filter made it a little hard to understand. The mining could have done with a button as well, because I went to a planet, accidentally clicked cancel and then to bring the pop up again, I had to move away and then come back in closer. Having a button to mine when you're within proximity would help. Overall a good game that fits the theme well. Good job! |
| Aug 3 10:56:16 | 11m 40s | To The Very End | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea, having players sacrificing an ability in order to progress to the next level. The ability one chooses to lose really impacts the next level which I like. Although, losing the accuracy module actually benefited me as the bullets would spread and kill more enemies without me having to much. So maybe that ability should be reversed as having it be accurate is harder than it being inaccurate. Once I had figured out the best order to sacrifice powers, the levels became quite easy, I just had to hold down Z whilst walking forwards. Overall it was a very good game and an interesting concept. Well done! |
| Aug 3 15:50:20 | 4h 54m | Journey in the Dark | ♥ 2 | A very challenging game, with a great atmosphere and decent graphics. The fact that the levels are procedurally generated kept me playing until I felt I had a decent high score. I did find that the dangerous objects were hard to make out at first, but once I learnt the various puzzles I knew what to avoid. Great game! |
| Aug 3 16:18:52 | 28m 32s | Leonardo Montes' DUNKIRK | ♥ 1 | The game is beautifully presented, including the plane models and UI. The game was easy to control with an Xbox gamepad. The enemy fighters are hard to shoot down, due to their strange, wiggling flying patterns. A crosshairs may have helped. The music fits well. I haven't seen the film, so don't know how it compares. Clearer objectives would have been better, I didn't know whether I just had to shoot the enemy bombers or destroy all the fighters as well. Being able to look around with the camera would have been nice, but I understand that camera controls can take a while to make well. Overall, a great game. |
| Aug 3 16:32:53 | 14m 01s | Ultimate Fusion | ♥ 3 | The game is simple and the objective is clear. It fits the theme well. I liked the music as well. The buildings didn't seem useful though, since they disappeared far too quickly after placing them. I kept finding myself clicking on the buildable icons in the bottom left instead of using the numbers. It would have been nice if they were buttons. The buttons in the menu at the end don't work, which means one has to sit through the loading screen each time one loses. The idea is good, but the game could use some work to make it more fun. Good entry though! |
| Aug 3 16:45:54 | 13m 01s | Wind, Sun and Power | ♥ 0 | This game was rather fun for a while. The issue with it was there didn't seem to be a penalty for not achieving the goal quickly. I felt like I wasn't being challenged because as long as I put enough turbines/solar panels down, eventually I'd move onto the next level. Some sort of limit would have made the game more engaging. Some music or sound effects would have benefited this game also. With a little work, this game could be very fun. Good job! |
| Aug 4 10:56:48 | 18h 10m | Light Switch Crusader | ♥ 2 | Fantastic stealth game! I really enjoyed it. It was quite tricky, but I managed to win in the end. The idea of the game is very funny and the voice overs are good too. I felt the key finding aspect wasn't needed as it was not challenging, and just took away from the fun stealth parts. If there was someone to avoid outside, then this bit would have been fun. The lights sometimes clipped through the walls, so I was unsure whether I had turned off a light or if it was a light in another room shining through the wall. Also, in the "You won" screen, the mouse was still hidden so I couldn't click the play again button. Overall this was a fun stealth game! |
