| Aug 2 06:14:39 | Cute Chute | ♥ 1 | Love the art. The concept was funny. Only wish it were a longer experience but it's a game jam so can't really expect more either. | |
| Aug 2 06:29:35 | 14m 56s | Potential Energy | ♥ 2 | Love the game! It's got a great atmosphere, and I enjoyed the dialogue. You did a great job making minimal art look good. My only complaint is that it always feels awkward in platforming when you bump your head on things and there was a good bit of that. Overall, great game for a game jam! |
| Aug 2 06:37:14 | 7m 39s | Robo Power | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed the puzzle mechanic, loved the art style, and appreciated the dialogue. Pretty simple, but no complaints! Great work! |
| Aug 3 02:22:34 | 19h 45m | Planet Nanadoo: Quest for the Powered Fruit | ♥ 2 | Great submission! Really liked the camera movement and the gameplay was solid. My only criticisms are small. Only being able to shoot in the cardinal directions felt sort of weird since enemies can come at you from diagonals and often do. But overall one of the best submissions I've seen so far. Great work! |
| Aug 3 02:32:15 | 9m 41s | Soporific: A Bedtime Story | ♥ 3 | Great game! Really enjoyed the voice performance. Get that three year old an agent! Cute take on the theme. I don't really have much constructive criticism to give. I guess I could say that I liked the music at the start and I wish music had kept playing through (at a lower volume to not drown out the voice performance of course). Overall, one of the best submissions I've seen from Ludum Dare! Awesome work! |
| Aug 3 02:52:52 | 20m 37s | Energy Enigma | ♥ 0 | Cool puzzle mechanic. I like the direction you took the theme. Only big complaints are that the gameplay isn't incredibly intuitive and the tutorial is hobbled together. I feel like a stronger focus on art could've helped this game a lot. I don't think a graphic for the flow is necessary, but you had nice uniform blocks which your art could fit into so it shouldn't have been hard to make the wires line up. This is a game that could easily look good without even any artistic talent. Overall, this game would totally be something I'd play on mobile but lack of presentation makes the game lack heart. |
| Aug 3 03:00:12 | 7m 20s | Running Out of Power | ♥ 1 | I'll give you (metaphorical and I guess also literal) points for innovation and taking the theme in a weird meta direction. But obviously the game isn't much of anything. I'll give this game a solid: Interesting. |
| Aug 3 03:08:55 | 8m 43s | Generator Master | ♥ 1 | I liked playing Mastermind as a kid so this brings me back. That said, the strategy is immediately obvious and makes the game less fun as a whole as it's been pointed out by others. Could easily be turned into a really solid game if you added changing colors along with something else (like shapes?) and making a "half right" result, it'd feel much more fun. Overall, I'll give this game a solid 6/5 in the nostalgia trip category. |
| Aug 3 05:04:40 | 1h 55m | The Derby | ♥ 0 | Cute game. I enjoyed just betting and watching the race, but the cards made it even more enjoyable and kept my attention longer. Good mechanic. The general 15th century theme was also funny and enjoyable. Only critique is that it has no discernible relation to the theme of running out of power. |
| Aug 4 03:25:36 | 22h 20m | Power Tripping: Keeping It Cool | ♥ 0 | Interesting concept. Really liked the sound design and art. While the gameplay caught my interest right away, it unfortunately didn't keep it for terribly long. I think you'd have a really good game on your hands if the difficulty ramping was a little slower. Overall, it's a good game and a fun idea. Good work! |
| Aug 4 03:46:18 | 20m 42s | Winding Woods | ♥ 1 | Great art. Cool concept. I liked the eerie atmosphere and really appreciated the detail that was put into the phone like the low battery message, apps, and changing energy bar. While I appreciate what you were going for, I did eventually feel like I was wasting my time by constantly waiting for my phone to charge with how long the charging took. I probably would've kept with it for much longer if the charging didn't take so long. I also felt like the level design was a little bit dull. I don't know what you could do to liven it up but it could use some more intrigue. Overall, cool art and atmosphere, solid concept, and attention to detail really brought this game together. Good work! |
| Aug 11 20:15:08 | 184h 28m | Runic Forest | ♥ 1 | Beautiful art and music. Overall a pretty polished game for the game jam. Great work! |
| Aug 11 20:27:06 | 11m 58s | Lost in Translation at Space | ♥ 4 | Really unique concept for gameplay, I liked the twist, although I have to say the gameplay felt a bit boring after you figured out which commands to say. That said, I loved the art style and the UI, reminds me of Hanna-Barbera animation (I'm guessing that's what you were going for). Overall, cool idea for incorporating voice commands, good art, but could use a bit of improvement to make the gameplay itself more enjoyable. |
| Aug 11 20:30:13 | 3m 07s | SparkLit | ♥ 0 | I liked the art, but I found the game to be pretty frustrating after a little while. |
| Aug 17 18:39:31 | 142h 09m | Drainor | ♥ 0 | Unable to actually play because of the Windows only build, but I like the aesthetic and arcade-y feel from the video. |
| Aug 17 18:41:50 | 2m 19s | -simov | ♥ 0 | Unable to play because of the Windows-only build but I like the weird vibe of the art style. |
| Aug 17 18:43:10 | 1m 20s | ROOP: The Ship in Danger | ♥ 1 | Unable to play because of Windows-only build but the art looks great. Looks like a fun game, wish I could play! |
| Aug 17 18:48:38 | 5m 28s | Sparkman Adventures | ♥ 1 | Cool game! I like the art and atmosphere. That said, the jumping was very imprecise which could've been fine if the levels weren't designed with a certain level of precision in mind, like those one block chunks. The insta-death on getting close to the enemies felt unfair at times. Might want to consider shrinking their colliders a bit. Overall, fun game, but got tired of it fairly quickly because of the jumping. |
| Aug 17 18:55:56 | 7m 18s | Forty2Eleven | ♥ 1 | This was a pretty fun game but I found the straight-up gray wall blocking you from leaving the arena to be a bit weird. This would require more camera scripting but it might be more ideal to have the camera stop moving when it hits an invisible wall (a la Mario reaching the end of a level). Otherwise, I enjoyed the shooting and scavenging mechanics. Great work! |
| Aug 17 19:00:03 | 4m 07s | Tycoon | ♥ 1 | Cool short concept game. I'd love to see it more fleshed out. I'm not sure if this was a bug but the game didn't end after I lost all of my power. It just stopped letting me make moves. Maybe that was part of the symbolism though. |
| Aug 17 20:08:03 | 1h 08m | No Sorcerer's Sky | ♥ 1 | The game seems pretty cool but it could probably use a tutorial in the beginning. |
| Aug 17 20:33:45 | 25m 42s | Out of Power | ♥ 1 | Cool game! It's pretty similar to mine actually. I like the gameplay but I feel like the level could be designed to flow better. |
