| Apr 25 19:53:00 | Soundefender | At first I didn't quite understand the mechanics, but as soon as I got it, it became really addicting! I was a little sad when I beat the last level, I wish there were more! :)

If you want to make the game more challenging, there could be a "survival" mode in which the player must face randomly selected sequences of notes and act fast, and see how much time he/she can survive! But I really suggest some faster way to assign notes to the markers on the left, maybe using the arrows to select which marker, and the keys 1 to 4 to select which note to play.

The graphics aren't impressive, but it really doesn't matter much in this kind of game. You could keep with this project in a educational context, it seems perfect to train the musical ear!

Good job! | |
| Apr 25 20:30:00 | 37m 00s | An Evening of Modern Dance | Well, I'm not sure what to think about this. I guess is to deep for me? :P
The concept is cool, but I didn't understand the purpose of the little circles at the bottom of the screen, and the controls have too little responsiveness. I won't complain about the glitches, since they were mostly fun, but I'd recommend including a reset button. More than once I got stuck in a wall and unable to move, and needed to exit and start again.

The most fun was when I tried to control 4 "dancers" simultaneously. It really looked some modern dancing spectacle! |
| May 1 06:09:00 | 129h 39m | Ants Attack | Awesome use of innovative mechanics! Though, it's too difficult due to the constant stream of ants, there should be a pause sometimes, or a way to blow them farther. When they get behind you, you're basically screwed! :P |
| May 1 06:30:00 | 21m 00s | Type Fighter | One of the best entries so far, I too have made a typing game, but I really liked your mechanics. The art is awesome too! :)
At the end I ended up not countering the spells 'cause they weren't too hard, so maybe the difficulty progression could be adjusted. The theme of the spells match very well the enemies, I was looking forward every time to see the next one!
Oh, and I found out that I really suck to type words backwards (maybe 'cause English isn't my first language) :P |
| May 1 06:44:00 | 14m 00s | Destroy&Oppress | Crashed at first then, the second time, it froze my computer and I had to restart it :/
I use an OSX. |
| May 1 06:49:00 | 5m 00s | Loli Mechaslayer | The thing I loved the most was the graphics, really nice art. Besides, mechas and lolis are awesome! Too bad you couldn't finish the rest in time!
Oh, my HP reached zero and I didn't die :P |
| May 1 07:05:00 | 16m 00s | Animal Brutality | Oh, it took me too long to find out that I should flee the melee attack!
The timing was too hard, maybe you could put a warning just before the impact?
Despite that, it's a really fun game! Great way to develop the theme! :D |
| May 1 07:09:00 | 4m 00s | Steve's Adventure | The double jump was not very responsive, I couldn't get past the first few platforms :/
The music is great, though! :D |
| May 1 07:18:00 | 9m 00s | Diplomat | I didn't get the purpose of the diplomats, and I don't speak czech, so I was really lost. I guess I won, but I really couldn't tell, hahaha! The idea looks good, though! |
| May 1 07:30:00 | 12m 00s | Eye Contact | Ok, that gave me a feeling of unease. I really like these kind of experiments! Too bad I don't have a Oculus Rift, it probably would way more creepy! |
| May 1 07:35:00 | 5m 00s | Night Harvest | The mood was really good! I was a little confused at the start as to how kill the enemies, though! |
| May 1 07:41:00 | 6m 00s | Properante Ludum | Too laggy, couldn't survive when there were many asteroids coming :(
I couldn't figure out what the said purpose of everything was, I guess it's a puzzle? |
| May 1 07:44:00 | 3m 00s | Kiwi Jelly Boy | Wow, nice DOOM-esque game! Loved the graphics and the non-sense mood! |
| May 4 13:57:00 | 78h 13m | Brickgun | I loved the impact of the bullets, it's very satisfying! Seeing the "money" boxes dropping from the enemies and spreading around, then collecting them was very fun too! The gameplay is very good, although I'd give a noticeable feedback when the player was hit, got ammunition or health. The respawn can be improved too, so no enemies or boxes spawn inside the screen or outside the arena boundaries. Also, I didn't understand the difference between the weapons, maybe that's cause I'm using the web version? :/
Overall, nice work! Simple, but very competent! :) |
| May 4 14:05:00 | 8m 00s | Walkmask | Wow, I almost died of scare with the voice on the last one!

I really like experimental games, the childish voices and art made quite an impression! Are those your children? :) |
| May 4 14:14:00 | 9m 00s | e=i formulae | At first I was dying very fast, then I figured out that I could move across the blue wall and found the turrets! Never thought a game would be easier with more enemies then with less! :P
Nice job! |
| May 4 14:23:00 | 9m 00s | Last guardian of the Holy Fountain | Nice concept! It took me some time before I could beat the level, I want some more! :D
The best part is the awesome writing! Good job! |
| May 4 14:44:00 | 21m 00s | The TV Remote | I loved the concept, but it was too hard! I couldn't find out what to do, I tried to channel up on the orange stars but ended up dying all the same! :(
I hope you keep working on this title, nice job! :) |
| May 4 14:51:00 | 7m 00s | Remote Control | Excellent art, music and sound effects! As far as I went, though, the unconventional weapon played exactly as the same as any weapon. I couldn't figure out too what the items were for. :/
Despite that, it's an amazing entry! Nice job! :D |
| May 4 17:11:00 | 2h 20m | TypeFighter | I've made a typing game too! :D
Excellent art, music and SFXs! The game is too hard, though. Sometimes the enemies appears on the back of the player, and they punch too fast, there's little time to move and then type long words. There's also no used words list, so it's up to the player to remember which ones he/she already used.

Despite that, great entry! It looks and feels very polished! |
| May 4 17:22:00 | 11m 00s | Ultra Hat Dimension | Wow, excellent work! The art and music are awesome! I love puzzles! :D |
| May 4 17:26:00 | 4m 00s | Ring Retorter | I loved it! Nice tribute to Monkey Island! I thought about making something like this, but ended up making a typing game.
The art and music are awesome too! :D |
| May 4 17:34:00 | 8m 00s | Inside Head Face | Creepy! I love experimental games like this! :D |
| May 4 18:02:00 | 28m 00s | Drunken Quest for the One Vodka | Wow, it's impressive how many mechanics you've put in a game in just 72h! Too bad I couldn't find the One Vodka! :( |
| May 4 18:09:00 | 7m 00s | The Room | It looks awesome, but it's so laggy in my computer that when I jump the player falls through the floor. :( |
| May 4 18:32:00 | 23m 00s | Sociokar | It's oddly addicting, I've spent half an hour upgrading my skills! :D
I don't know if there's an objective besides that, though. |
| May 4 19:01:00 | 29m 00s | Whipping Hag | Hahaha, loved the flip-flop animation! Nice gameplabe, but there should be some obstacles in the game. Good job! |
| May 4 19:08:00 | 7m 00s | In for a pound | Creepy! Took me too long to find an enemy, though.
Nice work! :D |
| May 4 23:51:00 | 4h 43m | Doorman | Loved the mood! I love puzzles! :D
Unfortunately, the controls are a bit buggy, I was trying to put a door and ended up dying because it wouldn't work :/ |
| May 5 17:51:00 | 18h 00m | walkin' talkin' | Awesome graphics! Loved the characters' art!
The mechanics look ok, but I couldn't guess the outcome of my decisions. I'd advice you to make the feedback clearer. :)
Nice job! |
| May 5 18:09:00 | 18m 00s | Wordskill | I'm LMFAO! Excellent job, loved it, 5 stars! The options available to the player and the feedback to his/her actions is perfect, there's nothing to add. I'm curious about the score engine, which data structure did you use to represent the connections between different words/sentences? I'm specially curious about the sarcasm mechanic! :) |
| May 5 21:07:00 | 2h 58m | Hotel Rainbow | Didn't load for me :/ |
| May 5 21:10:00 | 3m 00s | Weathermage | It looks awesome, I'll be waiting until a playable version! :D
Could you release an OSX version too? |
| May 5 21:25:00 | 15m 00s | Monkey Pop | Very fun, can't wait to play against my girlfriend! Seeing the dead bodies rolling is curiously satisfying. This deserves 5 stars! :)
The jumping is a little buggy, though: sometimes the monkey jumps twice with only one button press, therefore hitting the ceiling (and sometimes the chainsaws), and if the screen is too crowded with dead bodies, the monkey can't jump. I'd suggest adding a button to reset the game.
Excellent competitive game, I think you should keep developing it! |
| May 5 22:20:00 | 55m 00s | Kids These Days | Nice entry! Too bad I can't read fast enough, so I never know what my character is saying :D |
| May 5 23:28:00 | 1h 08m | Wild tales: enlightenment | Wow, very funny game! I felt guilty piercing the little pig, though! :P
I love random mini-games like those, they give a WarioWare feeling. My favorite one is the air juggling football player! |
| May 6 12:40:00 | 13h 12m | Full Frontal Combat | The art and animation are incredible, it looks like a production-ready game! I had some trouble with the combat controls (I'm using a touchpad), and there were some serious bugs (I had to abandon the game because the characters were spawning outside the screen), but despite that, it's a 5 stars entry! Congratulations! :D |
| May 6 12:59:00 | 19m 00s | It Came From The Sea | I always dreamed about being a giant monster! I loved the concept, and the game is very funny, I'd only give the player a better feedback on what is damaging him. The "3D" graphics are awesome too! 5 stars! :D |
| May 6 13:08:00 | 9m 00s | Music Battles | Awesome, the gameplay is really fluid, it looks like fun to play with 4 players (too bad I don't have who to play it with right now)! The art is awesome too, I loved the little Freddy! |
| May 6 13:20:00 | 12m 00s | PayOut | The concept is really cool and innovative, but I couldn't guess what to do in the game. I've tried to throw money at the black clouds and at the computers, but neither worked. I got lost and didn't know which rooms I had already visited, and at the end couldn't get to the elevator. The movements are too slippery, and there's too much lag; multiple times I couldn't even pass through a door.
But don't be discouraged by all of this, it's an awesome concept and, if you keep working on it, I'm sure it'll be a great game! :) |
| May 6 13:30:00 | 10m 00s | Weapon Quest | This game looks awesome to play with friends, it's so rare to see tabletop games on Ludum Dare! With some graphics on the cards, it'll be great! Congratulations! :D |
| May 6 13:33:00 | 3m 00s | Vinyl-Killer EP | Very funny idea! The art is awesome too! :D |
| May 6 14:23:00 | 50m 00s | Anagram Attack | Excellent game! I love typing games (I've made on for this LD too), but I never thought about mixing it with anagrams, good job! Some words are too easy, but some are too difficult (I'd slow down the hard enemies), maybe 'cause I'm not a native English speaker. My keyboard doesn't have page up and page down keys, so I had to beat every level; luckily you don't really lose when the enemy gets you. The feedback to the input is really good too! 5 stars! :D |
| May 6 14:59:00 | 36m 00s | Weapon Shoppe | It's a good idea, but you could develop it a little more. Take a look at Recettear, an excellent game about being a shopkeeper, for inspiration. |
| May 6 15:20:00 | 21m 00s | Combine Carnage | Excellent game! The music is great, and the graphics are very competent. The character art really stands out. The mechanics are great, though the controls are a bit slow due to the lag. Nice job, 5 stars! :D |
| May 6 15:45:00 | 25m 00s | The Silent Rage of The Chicken Throwing Crow Masked Man | Although the gameplay is not innovative, it's very competent. The chicken throwing "skill" it's a bit random, maybe you could make a little more predictable? The art style is simply fantastic, both the characters and the scenario! The music didn't play here, though (I'm using an OSX).
Overall, it looks like it'll be a great game once finished! Nice job! :D |
| May 6 15:55:00 | 10m 00s | Bango | Complex gameplay, took me a while to figure out how it plays. I'm still not sure what are the rules for which piece "lives" when it's moved.
The art style is incredible, and the audio is competent. It's addicting too, maybe you could only make it a little harder. Overall, it looks and feels like a finished game, excellent job! :) |
| May 6 15:59:00 | 4m 00s | Conversion | Well, that's really an unconventional weapon! The art is fantastic, excellent job! :D |
| May 6 16:18:00 | 19m 00s | Gravity Diamond | The art style is awesome, as it is the audio on the tutorial. The controls are too difficult (maybe 'cause I'm using a touchpad), and I couldn't beat the first level. :(
The tutorial could have some subtitles too, I'm not a native English speaker, so I couldn't figure out what I should do.
The mechanics are nice, and I loved the Portal-style humor. Nice job! :) |
| May 6 16:26:00 | 8m 00s | TiMeD | Awesome concept! I simply loved the skills wheel, excellent "unconventional weapon"! The mechanics are awesome, but it's too difficult to coordinate the different movement abilities. It's too easy to get stuck in a hole when you override the boost by mistake. Despite that, it's a fantastic game! 5 stars! :D |
| May 6 20:29:00 | 4h 03m | Professor Chalk | The art and the SFXs are great (and funny), but the controls didn't work for me, the W key wouldn't go up. There's too much lag too. |
| May 6 21:33:00 | 1h 04m | Mouse Roller | The art is fantastic! The gameplay is pretty responsive, too bad you couldn't finish the game in time, even without a proper objective I had fun just running and having the mice follow me! Excellent job! :D |
| May 7 02:45:00 | 5h 12m | Mortpuno | Wow, I wasn't expecting something as deep as this. Really, really moving. The art style, the perfect music, the subtle animation that makes the characters look like breathing heavily, the long moment after each choice, the impact of the bullet; everything was perfectly forged to make me feel the weight of my decisions. Every choice was hard. Sometimes I was trying to save someone, but then a new character with a sadder story appears. I can't give a 5 stars on Fun and Humor for obvious reasons, but on the rest, you sir deserves more than the scale supports.
Oh, and I'll be waiting until someone gives a hint as how to achieve the ending, I'm really curious!
Magnificent job, even more for a Compo entry! |
| May 7 02:49:00 | 4m 00s | PoP | This is hilarious! As a fan of anime, this really rings a bell. |
| May 7 02:54:00 | 5m 00s | Reflector (incomplete) | I'm curious, what should happen when I scan the ball? Nothing happens, neither with the left click nor the right click. :( |
| May 7 15:22:00 | 12h 28m | PROTOCOL ON BLINDING LASER WEAPONS 20XX | The art style reminds me of some SNES game I can't remember the name, it's very nice! The music is great, matches perfectly the atmosphere! Nice AI too, very realistic! Your team's logo really got me from the beginning with that awesome animation!
As for the downsides: I think the controls are a bit too sensitive, it's difficult to align the car vertically. The lasers are a bit too blinding, I guess a life system would make it less penalizing, since I'd not lose the race instantaneously when crashing. The camera could be a little more responsive to the player too. I'd never know when I could fire a laser, I think it'd be nice to have a gauge bar showing the time until the next shot.
This is a kind of game in which perfect responsiveness and feedback are core to allow the player's fast reaction. It's really difficult to balance everything, even more in just 72h. You have a very promising game in your hands, keep working on it and it'll be great! I'll give you 5 stars! :D |
| May 7 17:04:00 | 1h 42m | [BoardGame] The Rabbits Scourge ! | Wow, this is awesome! I was looking at the images and wondering how did you make those little pieces, then I realized they were 3D printed! I had never thought about how the 3D printing could revolutionize the indie tabletop game industry, this is incredible!
Excellent concept too, very funny! Nice job! :) |
| May 7 17:07:00 | 3m 00s | Twitch RPG Brawl | It seems that the game is offline. :(
I'll keep an eye for when it comes back! It looks like a neat idea! :) |
| May 7 17:08:00 | 1m 00s | N/a | Better luck next time! :) |
| May 7 17:36:00 | 28m 00s | Dr. U and the bottomless PIT | Wow, I think this is the most finished game I have seen this LD! I'm in love with the theme, art style, animation and soundtrack! Everything is perfect, congratulations!
I'd only make the initial velocity when the player opens the umbrella a little faster, it's a bit tedious waiting to gain momentum to continue the game. Aside that, I have nothing to criticize! For me, you "won" this LD! :D |
| May 11 14:38:00 | 93h 02m | Drybreed | Wow, this was an amazing experience! The art style, the sounds, the subtle and intriguing story, the exploration space, the mechanics, the "domino" effect on the end, everything was perfect!
I had to play twice 'cause at the first I didn't know what to do with the other characters, so I removed the floor bellow them and threw them to the infinity. :D
I wish I could give you more than 5 stars! Congratulations, this was perfect! |
