LD45 — Start with nothing (2)

Pandamonium by Maytch 2019-10-08T09:33:24Z ♥ 2

I struggled a bit with the controls but I really like the art!

The Island by Sanguis 2019-10-08T09:20:58Z ♥ 1

The art is lovely! I love how the water laps at the edge of the island! I think the music could use more work to match the tranquil vibe of the game. I also like how you used the theme :)

LD39 — Running out of Power (9)

Clumsy Clemens in Space by phi 2017-08-21T01:45:25Z ♥ 2

I really like the art style fir this. However after several minutes I still couldn't figure out exactly what I was supposed to be doing. That didn't stop me from liking the game. I managed to have plenty of fun wildly swinging the flashlight around!!! :)

Emergency Evacuation by spacewarp 2017-08-21T01:32:13Z ♥ 2

The game play really stands out among other entries I have seen. I feel like this was a really cool way to implement the theme. It is a little confusing though, still not sure I completely understand it. But it was ultimately a lot of fun. I think I spent the most time playing this out of all games so far. The minimalist artwork felt like an appropriate style choice too!

My Dear Battery by Diego Manarim 2017-08-21T00:58:44Z ♥ 1

I love the art for the little character dude. The music was great too. I feel like the range around which the enemies were considered to have hit you was larger than I expected. Was ultimately fun though, good job! :)

Nightfall by Roberto Romao 2017-08-21T00:46:40Z ♥ 0

I really like the art and the limited color scheme that was used. I think that really helped create a sense of atmosphere for the game. As someone else already stated, the wall jump doesn't seem to work with the arrow keys, only WASD. The tutorial at the beginning was a good call, it allowed game play to start but didn't leave the player confused. I am very impressed with this, especially since you say you only got to work on it for 12 hours! great job :)

RESISTANCE by azlen 2017-08-21T00:27:25Z ♥ 0

I love the art for this and the idea of a little LED with a resistor gun is adorable. Game play is a bit basic but I think the art makes it interesting. The music is nice too.

This is such a cool idea! I really enjoyed it. The art was nice with a cohesive style. I appreciated that the directions for the controls were clear, but it was hard to figure out what made a good photo (I was thinking the rule of 2/3 applied but couldn't tell in the scoring?) though I think having to try and figure out what worked best added to the replay-ability of the game. The game over screen was also hilarious in my opinion. Excellent work over all!

電源 (dengen) by hndmrsh 2017-08-20T00:12:01Z ♥ 0

I really liked this. The simplicity of the art felt elegant. Didn't quite fully understand the rules at first but we eventually figured it out. This felt like a really cool and unique interpretation of the theme. Great job!

Noane's walk by sebbernery 2017-08-20T00:02:27Z ♥ 1

Got to 14.5k on my first play through. Didn't see anything for picking up food the whole way though? Was surprisingly entertaining. The audio was hilarious. The walk cycle animation didn't seem to loop correctly and could use work since that is the focal point of the game.

The Fifth Exponent by axoona 2017-08-18T00:05:47Z ♥ 1

The exponential engine was a really interesting mechanic! I feel like it was a creative twist on the concept of a machine running out of power. There characters were definitely unique and I got quite a few laughs out of it. Overall pretty enjoyable and an idea worth continuing to work with!
