LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Andi, You're a Star by Dmitrix 2015-12-15T00:36:00

Well put together, but I lost my motivation for playing after a couple tries. Would like to see more strategy maybe by adding things like a larger playing area and gravity that can either work for you by changing the course of moving objects or against you by being pulled towards larger objects that could absorb you. Well done though!

Nice work! The music was enjoyable and I liked the atmosphere created by the slow pace. With a little more polish and touch screen controls this could be a relaxing way to spend a few minutes on a phone or tablet.

Kudzu: I Can Grow Forever... by Ryusui 2015-12-19T22:41:00

Nicely done! Made good use of both the themes. Like others said, it could be a bit more challenging but it's a good start to something that could be a fun little game.

I'd like a little bit more control over the left and right movement, maybe have to tap repeatedly to increase speed of movement to the side. Otherwise, congrats on finishing!

Space Baddie by oxysoft 2015-12-14T21:11:00

Nice take on the theme, good way to use more than two buttons without using more than two buttons. The effects were well done.

Give and Take by Move127 2015-12-14T03:49:00

I like God games, I like A-life, this seems to be a little of both so it makes me happy :) Still confused as all heck though but it's an interesting confusion.

Hyperspace by OccamsRazor 2015-12-14T03:25:00

That was fun! After you get the rear shot though I felt like you could just run from the enemies for the most part but I liked the upgrades and increasing difficulty. The story made everything fit.

Ortogonalis by pjimmy 2015-12-15T15:08:00

Timing took a little practice to get down but that's the way it should be :) Overall it was fun and had a cool mechanic that made use of the control restriction.

Always A Bigger Fish by rantt 2015-12-14T19:23:00

Good gameplay, levels increased in difficulty nicely and the control of the fish was solid and easy to pick up.

Laser Command by Docjekyll 2015-12-14T21:06:00

I enjoyed the laser charging and having to match the enemy with the type of laser used. The music was great. Could have faster progression or more variance in enemy strategies but those are just polishing. Nice work :)

Electric Dodgeball by ondrejbalas 2015-12-14T21:01:00

Man that background gets to you after a while, nice application of Perlin noise though. You might have coincidentally found a great way of making people motion sick though lol. Challenging gameplay, it takes some practice to get good at watching both sides and finding a path. Good job!

Terror Plant from outer Space by Tetha 2015-12-15T00:45:00

Fun! I had to win! There was some challenge and enough strategy to keep it interesting. Good job!

Sickle & Sword by MSiddeek 2015-12-19T23:01:00

Killed the southern dragon with my last warrior and then he died fighting a snake :( Great game!

Power Disney Princess Simulator 5000 by socapex 2015-12-14T03:40:00

Would've loved to play it, sounds like it's really cool but it isn't working for me. I'm on Linux though and there might still be issues with the Unity web player and my distro. Couldn't get it to work after downloading either :(

Flower Son by Stephen Patrick 2015-12-14T03:33:00

Feels like it could improve with a little more time spent on it. Having the combination of boost and jump controlled by one button was a little confusing.

Binary Tree by pparke 2015-12-14T13:15:00

I was just thinking about reworking it to have a play mode where you control the tree as it grows. Sort of writing the axiom as you grow the tree and then letting it rip for a few iterations to see how it develops. Could even continue from where you left off by using the last position on the tree as the starting point for the next one and simply panning and zooming to reset the play field.

Sorry about the sound volume everyone, it was the last thing in and got the least attention and testing.

Pocket Person by zatch 2015-12-14T19:12:00

Like others have said, the menu navigation is a bit difficult to figure out at first. I liked the bounce animation it made the simple graphics feel like they had a little more depth.
