LD44 — Your life is currency

Dave the dev by Linus 2019-05-01T16:07:20Z

Voice acting on point. Solid story. It's something. Feels like the game goes on even though I finished it 5 minutes ago...

Sinner by kazuo256 2019-05-01T17:12:39Z

I will do this in your own style because I've seen you do this on quite some games

Things I didn't like: * The sword animation is just a bit smaller than your actual range. * The character has to stand still while hitting enemies. * The pacts are a little hard to use. Maybe trigger eruption instantly and add some visual aid for aminig the fireball and beam?

Things I liked: * The art is nice * Animations look good * Audio helps a lot * You created an interesting atmosphere * Different enemies make the game more challenging and interesting

Huge team! Glad you managed to coordinate everything. Overall nice game!

Liquify Bo! by GaryS 2019-05-01T12:21:47Z

Took me some time to play through it but in the end i was pretty proficient in placing the platforms. I considered suggesting that platforms should be placed directly under the character so that you could place it and land on it without the reset to the spawn position but after a minute or two I realized that it would actually take away from your game. I like the cute graphics and considering that you spent only an hour on level design, they were actually not that bad. As others suggested I would have liked a reset button/key and a combined time for all levels so that people here can share their playthrough times easily. I think it took me about 4 minutes on my second try. All in all it's a solid game and I enjoyed it! :)

Coin Up! by egawag 2019-05-01T14:38:49Z

The hard mode really did it for me! I beat the last level as well and now I'm mighty proud

The audio is hilarious, the mechanics are fun and are explained well enough. I would have liked to be able to drag objects and drop them off when the mouse button is released. Also I think it would be nice to pick the objects up at the exact location of the click instead of having them centered at the mouse position after the click. That would allow for a more accurate repositioning I think.

I like your take on the theme and the game is overall very enjoyable!

Bob the Zombie by Sanguis 2019-05-01T16:49:27Z

It's fun and pretty challenging. I like the graphics and the sound effects made me smile  Would've been nice to see the character stats in the menu while buying upgrades. You need to be really careful with buying upgrades so that you won't loose if there are no humans close to the spawn. I think this core idea fits the theme very well, great job! Also a big thumbs up for the supportive wives!

PizzoTyping by Carpin 2019-05-01T12:34:27Z

Haha, a painful reminder how much I suck at typing. Lost on day 3 but it was fun while it lasted. Others probably have said this but sometimes a person will request a product twice in a row and the UI isn't really clear about that which is confusing. I like the graphics and music, feels good overall!

The greedy ATM by island-jam-2-group-3 2019-05-01T16:23:32Z

My highscore is 580 euros! I never returned any money and just dealt with the raging customers  Had a similar mechanic in mind when I started the jam and thought it might be cool to negotiate prices, a little bit like the Witcher 3 haggling mechanics. Also it would have been nice to distinguish the customers a little and have them give away little clues as to whether they'd be willing to surrender a lot of money to the greedy ATM or not. Nice game! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9qLU-1Bd6g

Harvester by Elnu 2019-05-01T15:19:00Z

The thrust control was pretty intuitive after the first few seconds, the patch probably fixed any weird behavior. It gets a bit repetitive after the first couple of asteroids but I managed to clear the level. I think it would be nice to be able to buy some upgrades that make it easier to harvest. Faster harvesting, magnet that attracts the coins, a faster ship, drones that make your harvesting radius bigger, blast and so on. It also lacks challenge as @oddarock said, maybe some pirate ships that will try to steal your coins? Overall I think this is a pretty solid effort for 24 hours, well done! Also the shock wave effect looks great :)

Sheep It by anstabo 2019-05-01T13:37:28Z

It was great! The animations are hilarious, audio fits the style (mushrooms were fun to step on), the art is fantastic and the automation mechanics work very well (after you figure out how to properly set up the waypoints). You really feel like your making progress by figuring out you to best get the sheep where they need to go. I didn't quite get the ending though and throwing sheep into the truck seemed unnecessarily challenging at time. A little anticipation animation before the truck leaves would've helped. If you have some more ideas on automation and how to progress further, I'd encourage you to continue work on this, it might have some potential beyond the jam!

PunCha-Ching Bag by Ryan Brenner 2019-05-01T15:01:11Z

It's a nice game, graphics are great and audio is nice too. But it is hard! I couldn't beat it and the coin throwing mechanic didn't really work well for me. It took me a while to figure out that i could do a right-handed punch with the right mouse button and when I did it let to some awkward moments with me frantically right-clicking outside the canvas in the browser window  But that's not your fault obviously.

I love the art style and with a little tweaking I think it could be even more fun! :)

Market Master by zactical 2019-05-01T15:56:14Z

I played 10 years and earned over 4 million which was nice  The graphics are nicely done and the game feels good overall. There's a little too much information on screen, I didn't really get to see any of the stock market action while doing the whole click and drag thingy. I also felt like that assigning workers and dragging jobs to the boxes didn't really do much for my success. But it does give you something to do in between years which is good. Apart from diversifying and buying low/selling high there's not that much challenge involved but it is fun to buy and sell so I'd say pretty good game and the pun names are funny

Market Master by zactical 2019-05-01T19:52:44Z

@zactical Ah I see, you've got an agenda going on. You certainly succeeded in giving it some educational value. Now it's obvious to me what you did there. Maybe I didn't have that "Aha" moment because I diversified from the start (you kinda gave the value of that away in the description of your game ). The UI was actually solid, you did a good job on that. There's just no time to look at stuff while your busy putting things in boxes. Now that I think about it... that might actually be a good analogy to a regular 9 to 5 job :bulb: Thanks for your feedback as well, I appreciate it!
