LD52 — Harvest

Wheat melody by EasyLuckyGem 2023-01-20T04:14:50Z

Overall the game is a very calm and relaxing experience for a rhythm game. To echo some of the sentiment of others here, I think the biggest improvement you can make is to sync the notes with the music. It seemed a bit unnatural to hit notes out of the beat of the song, but otherwise this is a great start to a rhythm game.

LD57 — Depths

Pressure of the Depths by slay a stone 2025-04-12T19:19:55Z

Cool little stressful management game. I did happen across a bug where if you retry the game and re-enable tutorials the heading tutorial does not reappear. I had to refresh the page to look at the tutorial again because I didn't realize I had to press the arrow keys rather than WASD. I would have liked for the interface to become unlocked as soon as a task is completed so you can get to the other tasks as soon as possible, but otherwise it was a fun little game full of minigames!

Camp Ketosis by Genesis 2025-04-12T19:39:57Z

The beautiful ladies were a lie! Haha I have no idea what happened between the cutscene and the actual gameplay but I appreciate the humor of it. Took me a minute to get a handle on hitting the mushrooms without them hitting me. The intro did look a little like AI generated though, wonder if you can shed some light on that?

Listen to Me! - Multiplayer co-op (2 players) by Notredamstra 2025-04-09T19:56:10Z

Driving mechanics are fun, however we found the navigation to be a bit irritating with a lack of a compass or any other navigation assistant. If the game played like the page describes it I think it would be a fun time, but over several minutes of gameplay we did not see even a single sinkhole. Therefore it was just a drive from point A to point B with no danger. Art and music were great for a jam, and we had no issues with multiplayer. Desperately needs a volume slider. Overall a good proof of concept that could lead to a fun game with some fleshing out of the mechanics.

Hellevator by MrManGuy 2025-04-12T19:33:36Z

The cake is a lie! Why no eat cake with lady? Why no stab bad guy with knife? Why stuck on top floor with nothing to do? Jokes aside it's a good start, agree with others above about perhaps just having clickable text or something rather than a drop down to select choices. Ideally also selectable with keyboard since mouse isn't used for anything else in the game. Getting stuck was kind of annoying for me, would have preferred there to be multiple routes that end in different ways rather than soft locking. But I also realize this would have been hard to do in a 3 day jam.

The Quota by ArkansasLover 2025-04-09T15:46:49Z

Sick entry! The mood is put together perfectly with the spatial audio, music, and lighting! The pick axe seemed a little slow for my liking, but that same slowness also added a bit of strategy and intentionality behind each strike. I wasn't expecting difficulty to be an issue, but it took me 3 restarts to finally beat it. I could totally see myself and some friends playing a game of this style/genre if it was further fleshed out. Well done!

Deep Dive Probe by MikhailNe 2025-04-12T19:47:09Z

Layer system makes sense after a few tries, where the color differs depending on which layer it is relative to the probe. I liked the fact that you got upgrades as you went further. It was a bit difficult getting enough bubbles to stay alive but the concept is cool.

Coals of the Eternal Cycle by sqqqwer 2025-04-09T15:33:49Z

Really love the lore focused game! The little painting mini game when you reach the top was very satisfying. I was a little flash banged by the light leading to the top but the comparison to darkness was quite apt and clever. I could have gone for a bit higher difficulty in the puzzles, but they were all very intuitive. The lore behind needing to solves the puzzle really drove me to complete them despite their simplicity.

Well done!

Devour by ScoobySnacks 2025-04-09T15:18:43Z

Awesome entry! I always enjoy these types of eat and grow games. One thing I would appreciate is the ability to retract partially. That way you could grab things that are dangerously close to obstacles without having to go all the way back to the bottom. Would maybe need to add a counter mechanic to balance that feature though so people don't just spam space bar to hover. Very cool concept though. Keep up the good work!

Down The Rabbit Hole by Doppler Affect 2025-04-12T19:00:16Z

Nice little text adventure game. I don't know why but I cracked up when the safety pin made the character feel safer haha. A little short, but leaves you wanting more. Well done.

Debts in the Depths by Reaktori 2025-04-08T19:00:55Z

Really great game! I made it to the dragon on my first try but only got him down to about half health because my tanky minions died in the previous level. My only critique would be that it's not clear what buying into investment does. The pixel art is fantastic and meshed really well with the old school music. Well done, and crazy amount of content for a compo submission!!
