LD14 — Advancing Wall of Doom (11)

We Control the Purple Creature by Sparky

I really enjoyed this. I'm going to carry on playing it for a bit.

The Hotel Advance by Redbone

Would have loved to have played this, but it looks as though the Game Maker bloat kills the speed when it's running under Wine. Looks like it would have been a lot of fun.

YOU GOT A DEMONWALL! by PsySal

That was wicked. Love it, like Rampage on acid. Great visuals.

AWD Cake Factory by pkeod

Ah, this was great fun, really enjoyable. Liked the way the sound worked too.

Wall of Locust by ondrew

Great idea! The multiple factors involved reminded me a little of Yellow River Kingdom on the BBC Welcome Disc. Shame about controlling the windmill. If that had been moved over onto the cursor keys, it would have been a lot more enjoyable.

Die, you Stupid Hurdlers! by NiallM

Loved the graphical style and audio. The game could have done with being a bit quicker, more hurdlers killed per round etc, but overall I thought this was excellent.

Hello by mjau

Whatever that puzzle was, I didn't crack it. I liked the little jokes, especially the slightly postmodern one.

Ah, bum, it crashes on Wine. The music's good though (that kept on playing and I had to kill the process!).

Slugs v Salt by Jonny D

Great theme! I loved doom mode and especially setting the number of allies and foes far to high to watch the ensuing slaughter.

As others have mentioned, the controls were a bit awkward and end conditions for each level would have been good. I didn't get any sound, was that just my machine?

Too Heavy For Re-Entry by demonpants

Ah, this one doesn't run properly on Wine, it's way too slow. But the graphics were terrific, very cool the way they glowed, slightly trippy.

Wasn't entirely sure what the black things did, nothing to tell me during the game. Interesting mix of 3d and sprites.
