LD23 — Tiny World

Sun Save World by castor 2012-04-28T21:56:00

Liked the moody music. Felt a bit mean that it didn't seem possible to win. Humans eat all the plants, then die.

The Tiny World of Pixels by Wampus 2012-04-23T09:39:00

+Liked the title page music. In game sfx a little limited.
+Great presentation
+Smoothly implemented
-Found game a bit too easy. Perhaps having a time limit would help?
-A little disappointing that after great build-up, game was pretty basic whack-a-mole

Lemming Apocalypto by 10WonXero10 2012-04-23T09:47:00

+Liked the music
-Found the player slow-down a bit frustrating. Would perhaps be more fun if player could get more speed up, but not jump so far, to make it easier to control.
-No option to restart game when time runs out?

Matrix Creatrix by piman 2012-04-23T10:15:00

Interesting concept - took me a while to work out how to play, but I found the game relatively straightforward once I knew how.

Perhaps some more player hand-holding might be a good idea?

Predicament by orangepascal 2012-04-23T13:50:00

Fun game - had to cheat and look at the code to work it out, though.
Found picking the objects up a bit fiddly sometimes when there were a few on the floor.
Shame about lack of sound on Firefox version.

Great game - really enjoyed playing! Nice graphic look, too.

My Little Planetoid by matthias_zarzecki 2012-04-23T10:02:00

Great game - loved the exploration/development aspect.

Found rotation controls a little frustrating, though - plantoid sometimes moved when I didn't want it to.

Predominantly Tiny World by Graham Weldon 2012-04-23T09:23:00

+Great graphics, especially liked saucer explosions
+Nice presentation
+Excellent 50's sci-fi feel

-Slow player movement speed was very frustrating.
(It improved a little bit when I worked out Jumping makes you go a bit faster, but it seemed a bit unnecessary to have to bounce and hold the forward button down just to play the game)
-Difficult to tell what was going on / where saucers are, leading to unexpected death ruined the fun element.
-Providing installation instructions may be a good idea, although it was easy enough without on Windows
-Minor bug - score reported as zero at end of game

Tiny God by davidwparker 2012-04-28T21:48:00

Nice graphics! Found the gameplay a little limited, though. Some sound effects might be a nice addition?

Planet 161 by saint11 2012-04-24T10:23:00

No idea what's going on, but I loved the look, and the way the worlds all connected.
