I thought the game has crashed on the title page just took a long time to sort out what it was doing. Nice entry very interesting art style!

Loved the art style and the interface well done!
Haha i needed to read the instructions first. I set off enjoying the carnage until I realised it was killing me :-(
At first thought it was a normal tower defense game until I noticed the twist. Well done i liked the mechanic!
Really fun take on some tried and tested game mechanics!
Frame rate noticeably drops when there is alot going on. But still one of the most fun compo entries I have played!
No sure if my browser froze, but pressing R after I died did not restart the game :-(
Thanks for the feedback @nicro, i would have loved more time to balance the difficulty. Unfortunately the spider AI ended up being a bit of a time sink and I wasn't able to improve the flow as a whole.
@cosine I had originally intended the player to be able to turn to any arbitrary rotation unfortunately it caused some issues and i couldn't get them all ironed out in the time frame so I cut it back to just the 4 directions.
@jelch Yes the levels are procedurally generated so it will be different each time around. Could have polished the game a bit more if they were predefined but I really wanted to experiment with dungeon generation.
@pietptr Thanks for the feedback much appreciated!
Took me a second to pick up the concept, but really nice game.
