LD26 — Minimalism

RGB by Boiúna 2013-05-01T04:31:00

I like it, it might be better though if the player was prevented from getting up to the platform before the staircase/ramp is complete. Otherwise the player might think certain blocks are not necessary, and miss out on creating the pathway. Overall quite good.

STL RNNR by Siewart 2013-05-08T20:21:00

I've definitely played this one more than any other in the competition. Very addictive; I had the high score for a while, but someone broke 1,000 today! It already feels like a complete game, but more would of course be welcome.

Land of the Free by uberneen 2013-05-01T02:24:00

Controls are way too floaty, maybe the citizen was drugged before the exercise began.

Simply Escape by wccrawford 2013-05-01T21:35:00

Solid for a 48 hour effort, though obviously in a full version there would be more puzzles and objects to interact with. Good job!

Square Heart Flower by JonathanG 2013-05-01T03:04:00

Beautiful work. I believe I got the boat fixed to finish the game, but I never got inside the castle (or did anything with my coins). Definitely works with the minimalism theme on multiple levels.

I like it, good concept and solid execution of the core mechanic. Sorry to hear about your allergy attack, but it seems like you got pretty close to what you envisioned.

And Then There Was Silence by SeriousCreeper 2013-05-01T21:45:00

It could use a higher mouse sensitivity as well, and of course music would be nice. Overall quite pretty.

Beautiful, playing this game is like walking through a De Chirico painting. A game this good deserves a better ending and title.

Don't Freeze by rpgwhitelock 2013-05-01T02:33:00

Let me join with the rest in saying that the atmosphere is great and that the experience is haunting and beautiful. I'd like to see a full game of this as well.

Pat Chenko's Desert Chrome by Petethegoat 2013-05-02T06:01:00

The visual effect of each individual shotgun pellet hitting a zombie ghost was very impressive and satisfying.

Definitely the most complete game I've played as part of the competition. The game's mechanics have been done before, but you executed them well and they worked with the theme.

Without Light by Cidolfas 2013-05-01T02:16:00

I like the atmosphere, getting lost in the dark is one of those instinctively scary things. Maybe have a doorway or something that spawns randomly in the space as a goal? It might not be reachable in many randomly generated levels, but it would give the experience an end point.

Moiety by aDFP 2013-05-02T15:00:00

Very nice, it's a bit hard to follow the white entities with the predominantly white background, but maybe that's an intentional part of the challenge.

It's nice that it has a couple full levels, makes it feel more complete, but the levels don't really introduce any concepts not already covered in the tutorial (in particular the level right after the tutorial feels pretty much identical). Good job!

Cool beans. Most true to the minimalism theme of all the games I've played.
