LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Phrygian Fantasy by harark 2017-12-05T06:25:08Z

I played through to the end, so I must have enjoyed it! This is a great little platform and discovering the secrets about the world and the story as it opened up really kept my interest. I encountered a tearing bug (?) when jumping out towards the cave exit. I tried again multiple times and encountered the same tearing artifact. (Played on Chrome).

I wish the jumping was a bit easier, but that might just be me being used to hitting the Space bar to jump. Loved the story, loved the changing world, and loved the music.

K-Tar: A Musical Odyssey by Eduardo_Pras 2017-12-05T22:20:15Z

Fantastic, bite-sized game. The graphics are spot-on and well executed. Nice animations, nice sound effects, and solid concept. Light on the gameplay side of things, but the rest is so solid I can't really complain! There is an issue with viewing your inventory when you get to the top of the screen, since the (awesome) radial menu follows the character. I hope you keep fleshing this out to add more levels and challenging gameplay, I'd love to see it!

Post Morton by nanolotl 2017-12-05T07:17:57Z

This game drew me in right away . . . but I crumbled into an ocd mushpile because I wanted to do too many things. The upgrade tree is nice, the graphics are perfect for this game, sound effects are cute and fitting. I love the idea, and it suits the theme well, but I wish the gameplay was more approachable. I found it too punishing early on, like having to go back to the post office to find out which letter I was holding when I could swap them out in my bag.

Speed Date Shuffle by NotExplosive 2017-12-06T01:44:09Z

Really solid game, with multiple levels, in 72 hours! Way to go! I particularly enjoyed this one and progressing through the different levels. I encountered no bugs or any other weirdness, overall, just a polished game. As for gameplay, it was a lot of fun. Figuring out the strategy and balance of when to pounce into the conversation is bit like...well,...real dating! Then, figuring out I could lay day cards and then swap them out if the conversation shifted was an exciting gameplay breakthrough. My only suggestion would be to add a way to swap out cards (say, swap your 2nd card with something else), especially for the harder levels. The voiceovers in the audio were a bit jarring for my taste, but overall, this was a ton of fun to play. Thanks for sharing it!

ClickerVillage by Chao 2017-12-05T07:13:23Z

Hah! Couldn't help but click the clicker to check it out. I like the layout of the central village, and the humor as things take a turn for the worse. Can't say much on the innovation side of things (cause, clicker!), but I played it for way longer than I meant to, which is kind of the point.

Traffic Jammers by jushiip 2017-12-06T02:12:02Z

Great casual game. I'd love to see it on Android someday. It was surprisingly difficult to cause traffic jams! But with a bit of balancing, this could be an even better game than it already is!

Quantum's Rick by cortexdeveloper 2017-12-06T02:21:17Z

Hah! This was fun. Hard, definitely, but fun. Loved the music, the art, and the simple yet deceptively difficult gameplay.

Bunnyfication by dekart 2017-12-05T07:55:01Z

I was a bit lost at first until I figured out I needed to build right away. Later, I found myself wishing that drop bait and click rabbits were different buttons, but I guess that's part of the theme! Too many bunnies!

Really fantastic game though. A pleasure to play. Relaxing, yes. Adorable, yes. But with gameplay that made me want to play a bunch more.

King's Gambit by shyguy567 2017-12-05T19:21:50Z

Wow, lots of content! Great job with all the writing and storytelling, that's no easy feat in a weekend.

It took me a minute to figure out the UI and how to progress, so maybe with updated graphics or buttons that could be made more intuitive. Great work!

Sushi Secret by RainbowJam 2017-12-05T19:04:23Z

Oh man, that took quite a turn! The parody was great, the base game was great. My only unmet wish is that I could've had longer to play it before the shift!

Stealy by Grentacular 2017-12-05T07:31:33Z

This is a great game all around. I'm impressed by the amount of content and the level design. It was really fun, I'll definitely be back to play it some more.

Epitaph by velvetlobster 2017-12-06T04:20:10Z

Very nice experiential game. The visuals were lovely, and I appreciated your attention to details, like how she stops walking when she coughs. You've certainly managed to communicate the difficulties of aging and I appreciate the care you took in conscientiously dealing with that topic.

Starving Blue by konomizure 2017-12-05T07:40:38Z

Simple, but solid. The balance adds a bit of something new to the idea. I liked the character and the concept.
