LD30 — Connected Worlds

Tropical Transit by Moist 2014-08-25T22:13:00

Very cool! The composition of the sounds and the animations really impressed me. Very silly.

Connected by ZwodahS 2014-08-25T17:33:00

A very nice ascii game that blends real-time and turn-based play. I liked the feel of playing essentially a different game in each section, while realizing that any mistakes in one world hurt my chances in another. "Don't get stuck" indeed.

ComboTwin by c023-dev 2014-08-25T21:14:00

This game has all the effects: chunky sound, plunky music, parallax background, and screen shake. I found this to be a solid one-button game, and would like to see more levels.

Glitched by Yasho 2014-08-25T22:22:00

Very, very nice. I haven't played a game quite like this before. There were lots of nice personal touches around the levels. Great sound track as well.

Colorshift by Andrew Adams 2014-08-25T22:07:00

This game made me chuckle several times, mostly while falling off the screen. I liked the music and the concept.

World Mosaic by sam1373 2014-08-25T20:29:00

It's all in the timing. The gravity is pretty interesting, although hard to get used to. I'll be coming back to this game for sure.

Celestial Impact by Boodog 2014-08-25T22:29:00

Very challenging. I found myself 'sliding' off the edge of blocks quite a bit. The visuals were simple but effective.

Gravitous by MaesK 2014-08-25T21:59:00

Those are some wild physics! I found myself lost a few times, but the map really helps. The visual effects and chunky sounds were nice.

RecTango by jonask 2014-08-25T21:46:00

Neat puzzler! There was good use of a simple graphics palette. I'd certainly play this again.

Humanoid by AnaglyphCoding 2014-08-25T17:11:00

A decent platformer, but devilishly difficult. I liked the addition of sounds and the level design.

Boulder Toss by quade81 2014-08-25T17:52:00

An interesting puzzle, with lots of falling (thanks to the roundness of the boulders). It was often hard to tell whether I was making progress. Very nice visuals and good collision detection.

Enaxius by Orange 2014-08-25T18:24:00

It's a nice little space shooter.

Towel Run by OnErrorResumeNext 2014-08-25T21:42:00

This was a decently-humourous game (indecently?). I'm not sure why the trees bounce, but I like it. A good effort in Game Maker.

Troika - how long will you cooperate? by Tomker 2014-08-25T17:04:00

Neat! Once I had the controls figured out, I had a good time trying to keep my planets alive. I'm unsure how population influences my planets. I think a few laser sound effects would top things off nicely, especially as the speed increases.

Spirit Aerie by tanjent 2014-08-25T21:00:00

The puzzle was fun, but I found the story a bit confusing. Professional graphics and music added to the allure.

Conundrum by Lovro Kalinovčić 2014-08-25T20:20:00

This is an excellent puzzler based on this theme. The graphics were merely adequate, but the gameplay was superb. I really enjoyed the alt+tab sort of mechanic, although, I thought it would have been better to use either only tab or only the number keys to cycle through (a minor point in an otherwise great experience).

zombies you Going down by joylessSnake 2014-08-25T21:53:00

Not a bad little Game Maker game. I'm confused about the bullet physics though: when I fire a second shot, the first bullet disappears. Also, the bullets go through the enemies and hit the second (third, fourth, etc.) zombie, so I found myself lining them up and taking six or seven down at a time.

The Purgatory by maad9 2014-08-25T21:20:00

This was an interesting take on the theme. I liked the atmosphere and mechanics a lot.

Rift Device by taviandir 2014-08-25T17:59:00

Pretty good player animations, physics, and sounds. I found out about double-jumping pretty late. I wanted to play more levels.

Where's the Color? by tbam 2014-08-25T21:35:00

This game had decent graphics, physics, and music. However, I'm not sure what the player is or how the glowing lights influence the game. It's a solid first effort. (I can't seem to make that seventh jump...)

Galeas by magmaCrab 2014-08-25T21:29:00

Great gameplay, graphics, and sound with NES flavour. I really wanted my ship/player to succeed and to complete the game.

Ulric's tale by Degondar 2014-08-25T21:37:00

"RPGVXAce RTP is required to run this game."

Little Jimmy and the Great Imagination Machine by laremere 2014-08-25T20:06:00

Little Jimmy is a cool take on this theme. The game mechanics were interesting. It was tough, but not too tough to complete. If only that sword were slightly longer...

Chaos Theory: The Butterfly Effect by SuperPokeunicorn 2014-08-25T19:46:00

A cute and oddly engaging story/platformer about the unintended consequences of our actions. What does it all mean? Also, more games should have this much harpsichord.
