I keep falling โ€” I havenโ€™t quite mastered the controls yet. The graphics and music are pleasant, and the concept is fun; I like it.

zabrat 2026-10-19 22:59 ♥ 1

The idea is really cool. But the controls proved too much for my brain to handle after three days of a game jam. I did figure them out eventually, but it was a struggle :)

retrific 2026-10-19 23:01 ♥ 1

Omg, I love the concept. But I also struggle to understand the controls. Every time I think I understood the game proves me wrong. I think this could work great though because I did fail like I am actually controling a finger skateboard. The controls go in the right direction but are not quite there yet.

Anyway, other than that the level and visuals are also outstanding. Very cool

I'm not good at it and there's definitely a learning curve. But wow that is some innovative gameplay! Really nice idea!

slyz 2026-10-19 23:47 ♥ 0

Yeah we are aware of the difficulty of the game... Lacked time to make the difficulty progressive

10/10 SFX! Had a lot of fun and loved the interpretation of theme! The music and art were a vibe.

First of all, the idea behind this control layout is pretty neat. But I agree with the previous comments - it's a bit hard to understand. So I feel like a tutorial level at the beginning would be very helpful. Also, cool sound effects!

Hell. yes. This was such a blast to play!! Great job with the animations + art in general!

dblazer63 2026-10-20 05:20 ♥ 1

i could see this being a pretty good mobile game. good work!

strega 2026-10-20 07:30 ♥ 1

Really tricky controls! (pun intended :P) Had to really align my hands properly on the keyboard since the buttons are kind of diagonal, but was able to pull off a few tricks! Very cool

slyz 2026-10-20 10:17 ♥ 0

Just woke up, it's so nice to see that some took time to learn the controls !! Thank you for the feedback :))))

Best sfx EVER

joproyo 2026-10-20 17:48 ♥ 1

Feels so great to play ! The controls are a bit finicky but once you get the hang of it its really satisfying !

shanzpro 2026-10-20 18:36 ♥ 2

Love it, it's cool to see a skateboarding game that is focused on replicating the feel of fingerboarding instead of actual skateboarding. I think something simpler for switching lanes like spacebar would be helpful.

slyz 2026-10-20 18:49 ♥ 1

@shanzpro Ah yeah why not, nice idea

ao-85 2026-10-20 18:59 ♥ 2

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff!

eugenik 2026-10-20 20:45 ♥ 2

The art style paired with the sound effects is fantastic; it really brings the whole vibe together. The way the tricks animate when you pull them off looks so smooth and visually rewarding. It's a genuinely unique concept for a game jam entry!

lucasito 2026-10-20 22:00 ♥ 2

Really awesome and creative game, wow!

The graphics, the music, the tricks, everything is sooo well designed.

If I can bring one small flaw: I think a choice should have between giving scores if the players makes the figures described down, or if it makes points with random figures. Having both makes it easy to farm points with fyn spammed in air without even looking at what is asked to the player. (Maybe some more timing in-between would have been good, I don't know).

I kind of disagree with other comments saying commands were a bit too difficult. It certainly was, but for good reason, it was entirely part of the game design to have different inputs than the usual wasd.

Thanks for this wonderful playtime!

The skeuomorphism of the controls resembling finger skateboarding is pretty neat, although I also found it untuitive at times (e.g. switching lanes by moving fingers to VN or RY, but then having to actually go back to using F/H to land?). It also seems like I would sometimes wipe out on flat ground for no clear reason? But it seems like the concept could be made more intuitive if it were dialed in a bit. Anyways, I had fun experimenting with it a bit, even if I was never able to land one of those 5-trick combos it seemed to be prompting me to try.

slyz 2026-10-21 08:33 ♥ 0

@3lstmsinatrenchcoat Yeah there are some collisions issues that we couldn't fix on time... sorry for that. Also the controls indeed need more work and we lacked time to make the point system more intuitive and well defined as @lucasito mentionned

alex-lumi 2026-10-21 10:26 ♥ 2

tysm for the feedback everyone !! :)

rentem 2026-10-22 13:45 ♥ 2

Nice game! Enjoyed playing it, even though it took me some time to get used to the controls. And I am still faaar away from mastering it, but my fingers are sore. Not my usual type of game so I am not to used using them in such a way ๐Ÿ˜… I think the control fits the game. The random collision were not much of a problem to me, as I didn't get to far anyway ... If you could let the tune continue after crashing it would be nice, I did get to listen to the start of it quite a few times but not for very long.

Anyway great entry!

djtequila 2026-10-23 11:43 ♥ 3

Lots of fun and very satisfying once you get it. I'm no stranger to games with weird/difficult controls (I've made a few myself), so I was determined to land a 5-piece combo eventually, and finally got one after 20 minutes! The difficulty comes from the controls themselves, and that's clearly intentional. Could use some polish though, and I agree with the other comment that you should be able to land with R+Y or V+N as well. Sound effects really added to the experience. Well done!

nesmon 2026-10-23 13:47 ♥ 3

Dude! That game is perfect! I like the graphics style way, it's simple casual. But the game is too hard for me. I'm not the fan of the hardcore controlling. But anyway it's so juicy i feel all kind of impact from the skateboard! thank you!

klengh 2026-10-23 14:55 ♥ 2

Great idea and well executed! I found it harder than it first seemed. It took me a while to understand that I had to press H first and then F to catch the skateboard instead of both simultaneously.

After that, it was a lot of fun.

There were a few times when I seemingly randomly lost my board while just holding down F+H while on the ground.

mateusboga 2026-10-23 14:58 ♥ 2

I'm struggling with this one a bit... Yes the controls are difficult, but I'm also randomly colliding with invisible obstacles it seems. I'm not sure what's going on there, or if it's a mechanic I'm not understanding right. I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right. Regardless, the game is really cool, the idea is great, the aesthetic is super nice and all in all it just needs a bit more polish imo. Great stuff!

andreas-roschal 2026-10-23 15:25 ♥ 2

Ok nice great amazing crazy game! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ It was really fun to play, once I got used to the controls. It goes without saying, I enjoyed the SFX quite a bit, haha. Great entry.

jordantanner 2026-10-23 17:03 ♥ 2

Excellent vibe, taking me back to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater days. I think this game could be a really really great start for a skateboard trick game with one major tweak: Player Forgiveness. It's something that's easy to miss when making a game, esp in 72 hours. It's just too strict. If you add some grace period for player inputs, falling, softening the experience for the player, make it squishy and fun, I think you'd crush it. Great start though, and you nailed the vibe. Love the voiced "Ok!" SFX and the music was fitting too.

kitmani 2026-10-23 20:29 ♥ 2

OK, Nice, Great, Amazing, Crazy. A cool finger skateboarding game simulator. It was very difficult to get into the controls, like what to do etc. By the end, I kind of figured it out, but it was really annoying that the FH combinations (get on the board) and F-H (backflip + get on = die) kept triggering inconsistently, which is why I died often. Maybe it's worth moving the backflip to G, or something like that. But the game is addictive, I think if you move it from a runner to an "open world" it would turn out just great. But I'm not really into skateboarding games, maybe such a solution already exists. Thanks for your game!
