I love racing games. I really enjoyed this game—it has a lot of interesting mechanics. The only downside is that the color scheme is a bit too gray. Unfortunately, I couldn't beat the last level.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD59 → Signal Slip

ay cool sstyle! Love the racer design and the cat pixel emoji 👍 Very impressive what you got done! text is a bit hard to read maybe add some more contrast <3
That moment when you quit the game and you look up for the first time is really cool! I did a real-life pogchamp face. Overall really cool look and feel!
Great entry! The visuals and mechanics feel really solid, and that cat in the UI is a super cute touch. I noticed you went for a heavy ripple/CRT effect on the camera—stylistically it looks cool, but as a player, it was actually physically painful for my eyes after a bit.
Great idea and execution! Each level brings something new, and although some effects were a bit too strong and finding the right direction was harder than it should be, the game still feels complete and really cool. Great job!
Incredible what you have been able to achieve here in terms of scope and level of polish! 👏 It’s missing sound effects, but otherwise feels very complete. Loved the drum n bass music!
I'm not sure I found the main mechanic very fun. It doesn't add much to the gameplay and some of the screen filters was kind of nauseating. **The final level was genius though!** Very fun to watch the replay afterwards 😅
❤I LOVE A RACING SO MUCH!!!!❤ AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
That was really good. Nice music, graphics and overall vibe. Interesting gameplay idea. Congrats !
missing the controls to give up and watch replay without waiting for the battery to die out, otherwise good idea and implemented pretty well too
Oh wow! What an incredibly polished entry! Movement is smooth, the graphics, especially the effects are INSANE, BANGER soundtrack!
I loved the distortion during the first few levels. The camera gimmicks in Level 5 captivated mee most, though. It was actually super fun to quickly switch up your way of thinking about navigation. Level 6, while great in theory, ended up pretty frustrating. I just couldn't beat it either, even taking the replayss into account. Though I have to admit, seeing the car shooting up the mountain and running stray accros the trees did make me chuckle!
I don't know how much more content there is (honestly, I didn't even expect the game to continue after Level 5! There's so much content, so much JUICE!), but seeing the ending animation cured all my frustration instantly!
Thank you for creating this gem! :)
Love the Cat btw!
Really nice concept, a bit hard to drive when jammed but the jammer collision is very generous, so it works ! I managed to get thrown in the sky at 6000km/h though after hitting a rock. Overall really fun game !
"The RC car concept is awesome. I used to spend hours playing with these as a kid! The movement feels incredibly fluid and smooth. Really enjoyed the vibe of this one."
I like both the idea and execution. The vibes here are unmatched. Like many others have said, the visual effects and atmosphere pulled me right in. It’s always great to see a jam game feel this immersive!
Overall, it's a really cool idea. I don't play racing games much these days, but I used to play something similar. I had a great time with it, but the last level is insanely hard—I was laughing so hard watching the replay of my attempt. I never actually managed to beat it
Beat the whole thing and loved it! The theme and vibes were both really great, and the camera fuckery was super cool, especially the GTA-Stunt-Cam one. I will say the cat DID lead me into a bush during the last level (I think the second-to-last right turn gets signalled a bit soon, but then again I was going slow) but I was able to clear it on the second try. Love this, one of my favorite games I've played during the jam so far, great job!
Very great take on the theme! Driving mechanics felt good and I'm happy there was a web export I could play! I grinded out level 3 for a bit and my fastest time ended up being 0:17. I liked the game! Good fun! Screenshot_20260423_012957.png
Man, how'd you get so much content in a single jam :astonished:
It made me wonder how the camera on that RC car managed to float behind the car :P Kidding aside, great entry!
This got me immediately hooked! This has the thrill of something like a trackmania game. Very creative take on combining a racing game with the theme. And the amount of different levels is astonishing!
@logan-core I guess we require more decimals behind the seconds ;) image.png
The different camera angles in the further levels add an interesting twist. Especially there I would have loved an "instant reset"-button, but maybe I just missed how to quickly restart.
Very fun game, well done. If you ever create more levels, let me know :D
Very polished, loved the visual effects, the car controls were really nice and remind me of some old schoold racing games.
Maybe it's a fact that I haven't played any racing games for some time now, but I just couldn't finish the last 2 levels: - to me, the camera in the second to last kept switching too fact and too unexpectedly. - maybe I'm nit-picking, but in the last level, I found it a bit odd to see that I'm driving over 200km/h and see "turn in 10 meters" and had to wait a few seconds for the cat to say "turn now" - shouldn't I pass 10 meters in 0.2s? :D Anyway, reviewing the footage after race, I kept turning too early, driving into terrain and running out of battery
Very cool racing. I like the visuals and mechanic.
This is a super polished and unique take on a rally racing game, nice work! I liked the combo of low-poly graphics and cool video effects, it created some very interesting and immersive visuals. Nice breakbeats, too! I also liked how each level used the poor signal idea in a different way - slow loss of vision, fixed camera, and the total blackout. It made the game more varied and let you explore your idea more fully.
While I did really like the gameplay conceptually, in practice it can get a little frustrating - driving at high speeds with poor visibility is very hard and I often had to reset a level just because I got lost. I know the challenge of the game is trying to work past the video errors, but I think there are ways you could make the experience more consistent for the player. Maybe give them ways to fend off the poor signal, or get a bit of info about the environment (a radar maybe?) Just an idea. An easier solution which would definitely help would be to make the track visuals more clear - higher contrast between the road and surroundings as well as less clutter around the edges would make it easier to discern what direction you're supposed to be going, especially when you start losing details.
Really nice work! You've really made something brand new out of this genre.
