I love the art style, really enjoyed the the character controller, but was wandering aimlessly a bit because of how dark it was.

I love the art style, really enjoyed the the character controller, but was wandering aimlessly a bit because of how dark it was.
This was great! Placement of the ammo was nice, I got excited when I found more shells for the shotgun. I ran out of ammo completely after I grabbed the key with one monster left alive so I was running screaming to the end, got whacked a few times but I made it!
I loved the graphic style! A little more lighting would have been helpful, but I the mood overall was great.
One thing that confused me for a minute was how to use the items from the inventory (like ohhhhh 'E to interact', I have to interact with it).
Looking forward to updates, but this really has heart to it and is so impressive for a jam game!

I liked playing this a lot. The style was very cool. I think in general the lighting is fine, but I would like something like a flashlight maybe, or whatever is needed to clear up the few darker sections. There was some camera snapping, and overall I would've liked to have been able to have been able to lower the sensitivity. I really liked how the learning curve felt. I first learn to shoot and interact, next run im using stuff from the inventory, then after that i figure out i need certain key items, figure out how to use the second gun, and eventually win. It definitely felt like a challenge at first, and was satisfying to overcome.

The visual style is very strong, and the cat paintings definitely added charm. Great work.
This was a little rough around the edges, difficulty was really high and many things could have used polish.
But it doesnt matter. What you had was so uniquely cool take on survival horror that i couldnt stop playing until i had beaten it. Artstyle is phenomenal and something that i dont atleast think i had ever seen and the experience was just plain fun. Very good job, out of all the games ive rated, this was the one that has left an inpact on me the most so far.
The art style is fantastic, the hand drawn aesthetic enhances the creepy situation. Juxtaposed with all the cute dog and cat photos, got a good laugh out of me. It'd be nice if it had focussed more on the signal portion but that's really a nitpick for what's overall a good experience. Nice work!
The visual style is absolutely fantastic, I feel like it has a lot of potential in the survival horror genre. Good job! I did miss some audio feedback from the enemies and even from the signal itself. The screen is flickering a lot as well, which makes it harder to play.

I really like games that try to go for something different, the artstyle in this case. :) There were some issues like mouse sensitivity being too high, but good work otherwise!

Well done. Art style works well for this style of game. I appreciate that the monsters react when shot. I thought it was pretty hard, but maybe I was just panicking. :)

@ne-aquilon yeah, no reason to change characters apart from visual change :) Yeah, played resident evils recently a lot, but it mainly transfered to how 'puzzles' work in our game, cause it gave me quick idea to just put keys / locked door, use found item on ultimate goal combo, cause we had no time for actual puzzles :)
I know all the other commenters have already said it but it bears repeating: the hand-drawn art style is gorgeous. The balance between ammo and enemy encounters felt just about tright. My only critique is that some areas are a bit too dark to see things clearly.
Love the art style! The ambiance feels great. I see the vision on the signal tie in, but wasn't getting it too much in game. I'ma keep my eye on this one - I can definitely see this one taking off and being a big hit. Great job!

Fun to play, but some parts feel repetitive.
Art-style is fantastic. I like the black and white, as well as the over the shoulder angle, and objects have a good billboard effect.
One thing is that sometimes i feel like the enemies could attack me when i felt that visually, i was far enough away to avoid being attacked.
Cool game! I had a great time playing it in the evening, and it even gave me some chills! Some parts of the room are quite dark, so you need to be very careful and check different angles to spot any silhouettes of the monsters. You could either highlight them a bit more, maybe with glowing eyes or more surrounding textures to make them easier to notice... or keep it as it is; it’s scarier this way :)) I really like the art style. Well done!!

@filgru Thank you! :) We definetely had talks about whether to add a flashlight or not, but with narrow time window, we decided pre-lighted rooms would be better, more balanced option and to leave some in the dark with hints of light of where you can go. If and when we do more levels, we also discussed different enemies with exact characteristics you describe as glowing in the dark eyes, as it also would be very creepy. Thank you for the feedback! That was actually super cool! I love the art style so much -- anytime people use unique art styles of any sort I am immediately much more interested in a game. The gameplay was actually pretty good too, I liked how shooting felt, with the enemies getting "stunned" for a pretty long time from the shots, it felt like the shooting has pretty good weight. aaaaaac.png
First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting a FOLDER in the archive, not a collection of files. I hate creating an empty folder to unzip.
Speaking of the game, I didn't understand what to do with the dynamite, and by the time I found it, I was out of ammo. The inventory is poorly designed; first aid kits are used automatically, two at a time, although that might be due to the low health. The soundtrack is lacking, and there's a lag in mouse movements; the character spins around too quickly. I liked the style and art.
cat and dog photos everywhere made the horror hit different felt like a crazy person defending my pets from shadows sensitivity was way too high tho spun around like a top
The hand drawn art style on this really lends to the creepyness. Love it. The lighting also worked brilliantly as event when looking straight at the enemies they would go into dark areas and I would not know whether I had killed them or not lol
This art is really fascinating! I think the visual effect is very unique. The idea is also very novel. A particularly wonderful game
