This was pretty abstract but I think I understood the game enough. Some control UI like shift, or have an icon of the Kaiju over it's health will give the game more life. When my HP or the mental connection was depleted the game just kept on going. I see a nugget of a cool idea here. Nice work very old-school.

Excellent drawing skills! But there are still some minor bugs that need to be fixed

Looks like the game won't load for me on itch. Tried in chrome and firefox.

I really like the art style going in to this, I couldn't figure out how to actually do the controls properly. Unfortunately without disabling the cursor, hitting the middle mouse button caused the cursor to go in to scroll mode.
The dual control scheme could've worked if I were playing one game at a time, but I felt like I was constantly trying not to get hit as the human while the giant robot stood there idly getting beat up. Is there an easy answer to how many hits I have to do in order to win?

The graphics were pretty good! But I had some minor issues where I couldn't give anymore commands once I did a command (either attack or defend) in the Mind's Eye state, and I also couldn't quit the Mind's Eye state after that.
Tried to play, but it crashed after ~30 seconds. The concept sounds intriguing, and I love the art style -- very reminiscent on 80's/90's cartoons.

Interessting idea, has the ground work of an good game. But as other mentioned, i also wasn't able to close the overlay or complete another command after completing one. Also there where multiple crashes where i had to reload the page.
I finally managed to get into the game, but the performance is quite laggy on this screen. Also, it's extremely slow when trying to close this interface. Hope this feedback helps!debe4746-1695-463e-9454-e75b546dc903.jfif
I like the concept and style of Mecha, like in 80's anime, but the game currently has several critical problems:
1. Optimization suffers - the browser simply can't handle the huge number of enemies, and if the player doesn't destroy them (for example, because he's controlling a mecha), they'll fill the entire screen, and everything will freeze; 2. There are no conditions for defeat and restarting the game; when my HP drops to zero, the game continues (mb it's a bug);
It might also be worth adding some hints with controls into the game itself - this will make the game easier for players who missed the text on the game page.
I think that the battle with Kaiju is cool and you could try to polish it up
I love the music and overall idea. The first chords brought a lot of good memories about old animes. The only issue i got was stuck screen when i tried to switch between character and robot. But everything els is super cool.

Very cool art and idea! As people said before there are some optimization and bug fixs needed, but still it's just polish, nice job!
The concept and art direction has a lot of style, but it seems like the gameplay is a bit unfinished... I hope you keep working on this!
That's a really cool idea! I only wish there were more enemies to fight and such things, but I understand time. Excellent style for certain, and it splits your attention between two different tasks that could in theory interact with eachother. Neat!

Whoa, that's such a cool gameplay idea — fighting on two screens at the same time, and the signal mechanic really works. The only thing is, between trying to defend yourself and hitting the right buttons, I barely got to watch any of the epic battle animations 😅

Whole game idea is fun and something "fresh" I'd say. From technical point of view I'd say game needs especially some fixes with enemies. Seems like opening (or rather enlarging) mecha vs godzilla fight screen does not impact performance, but amount of enemies on screen does. Not sure why it suffers so much performance hit with what seems like maybe 10 or 15 enemies on screen.
As for other stuff, I'm not a designer, but gameplay could be improved slightly by making minion enemies appear in more like waves maybe, giving player more time to actually switch to mecha and do some commands. Defence command could've lasted longer (for me it seemed like it was active for maybe a second).
Visually game looks good, only small tweaks to animations needed.
Overall quite good entry and good starting point for something bigger ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
