I really like this game!
Quite an interesting and fun game! I would add a little more effects and contrast, there is not enough theme of the game in good elaboration, good luck to you in the development of your project!
I'm actually really into this, gonna go back and play some more. Cute graphics and the debt timer keeps me on my toes. Good job!
Altough its not really my type of game, I really liked the animations and the cartoon style illustration, well done!
Feel like I tried everything but couldn't figure out what to do with the egg. Cooking it put it in my inventory and clicking it from inventory just put it back in the world and couldn't sell it. Or buy anything. And no new food was being spawned...?
Also - the tutorial screen could be clearer by explaining what to step-by-step instead of explaining all the UI in one go without a sequence
Cute graphics, nice sound and animations! :)
In my opinion, it's quite hard to understand how to play the game. It took me a long time to realize you have to drop you egg *above* the summoning station, and not *on* it (same for every interaction after that). Plus maybe that's just me, but I didn't find an instruction on how to gain energy, I just happended to press spacebar when I didn't know what to do of my egg. Also the tutorial pic explains everything, and that's cool, but that's maybe too much info in one go?
That being said, the art is soooo cute and the theme intriguing enough so I really wanted to figure out how to play. And the result is nice. The ambiant music really fits this cosy atmosphere, and helps to relax against the pressure of debts and time flying by too quickly.
So overall, nice game, I'm glad I took the time to play it properly :)
Congrats on making it!
The graphics are really nice, it gave me that kind of old-school games for young kids vibe with those big eyes and boucing animation. It is a bit hard to fully grasps how to do anything though, as it is not obvious you have to drop the objects/buddies above the stations to make them work.
Once you get going, you quickly get overwhelmed with everything though ^^ I didn't really understand why I got bankrupt so quickly (I lost some money in -50 at some point?), but I firmly believe you have the foundations of a really nice and laid back game! Keep it up!
Really cool concept but a bit too hard in my opinion. Great work it's really fun to play though. Maybe just the Buddies placement is a bit scuffed but once you understand it's not that problematic. Congrats :)
Nice graphics and good idea. I would get rid off the bankrupt and have coins automatically go to your total money.
I wasn't sure how to move around or do things. I put the egg in the box to sell it, but it didn't sell. Maybe I'm just easily confused though. I did like the art style. Having custom buttons would have sold it. It feels very mid 2000 flash games, a welcome wave of nostalgia.
Cool idea for a game. The tutorial screen was a bit too much of an information dump to really understand it all. One tip I've learned is that players don't really like seeing a wall of text, its better to introduce things gradually.
The sound and graphics were really nice! Did this happen to be Godot 3 (instead of 4)? I noticed the game seemed to load really fast in the browser
I feel like this is a really clever idea that desperately needed more time in the oven (har har). The interface is really abstract; it's hard to tell what it is I'm expected to do or how to do it. I got as far as animating an egg and getting it to charge the batteries and do some fishing, but I don't know how to sell items, and I'm not sure how summoning extra Foodie Buddies is supposed to work; I got a fish to come to life on my first run, but it didn't work on my second.
Neat little game! The art is easily favourite part but there's a nifty little gameplay loop in there too. It took me a little bit to understand how the game is meant to be played. I tried to study the tutorial screen the best I could but I had to experiment for it to sink in that dropping food into the area next to the wizard turns it into a buddy. An interactive tutorial or on screen hints might have helped. (Maybe if things you hovered showed tooltips?) On the whole though, damned impressive for a jam game!
This is pretty fun! I love how every single interaction in the game is done by dragging items around. Makes it all feel very cohesive. The tutorial and gameplay style are pretty hard to understand but I got the hang of it. Also the graphics and audio are great, I love the breakdown as the witch starts dancing!! One thing though, is the order of items on the recipe important? I feel like I made the exact recipe for pizza and ended up with garbage instead! ;w; That threw me off a little
I loved that little dance! The art style is so good and the game is pretty fun.
It took a while to figure out how to get started on this, eventually I figured out that I had to hatch the egg. Then I got stuck again until I realised I had to use the egg to interact with everything on my behalf. Might have benefited from the egg being "hatched" right away to just get play started as it nearly lost me from playing during those two humps. However, once I figured that out it was a cute little game.
